Results: There were significant differences in nursing performance depending on general characteristics (age, marital status, religion, shift work, education level, position, clinical experience, department, and monthly salary). Empowerment correlated with nursing performance. Factors influencing on nursing performance were empowerment, clinical experience, job stress, and marital status with $R^2$ value of 36.3%. The most influencing factor was empowerment (${\beta}$=.47), followed by clinical experience (${\beta}$=.24), job stress (${\beta}$=.20), and marriage (${\beta}$=.12). Conclusion: It is needed to implement specific empowerment strategy, control job stress, and reward experienced and married nurses working in medium-sized hospital for improving nursing task performance.

  • The purpose of this study is to use urban regeneration management types through classification and step-setting of physical types by administrative dong as the basis data for future urban management plans in local small and medium cities. The analysis was conducted on the physical density of each administrative dong by setting the data on urban and architecture provided by the government as three elements: buildings, lots, roads, etc. Through the system classified in this study, Mokpo City's 23 administrative districts were divided into nine management types and three management steps. Methodology can be utilized to establish areas of similar areas within the city and to use them as basic data for planning management. It is meaningful that it is possible to extract areas that need actual regeneration and maintenance through physical density analysis and plan suitable projects.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate workplace bullying, job stress, organizational commitment, and turnover intention as well as determine influencing factors on the turnover intention of small and medium-sized hospital nurses. Participants included 140 nurses from six small and medium-sized hospitals with less than 300 beds in G-city and J-province. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression, using the SPSS Win 21.0 program. The regression model was statistically significant (F=37.11, p<.001), and the explanatory power for turnover intention was 34.2%. The significant factors influencing turnover intention were organizational commitment (β=-.41, p<.001 and job stress (β=.25, p=.005). Human resources management is crucial for providing high quality healthcare service. The results of this study indicated that it is important to lower job stress and increase organizational commitment in order to reduce turnover intention among nurses of small and medium-sized hospitals. Based on these findings, customized programs for nurses in small and medium-sized hospitals need to be developed and implemented so as to lower their turnover intention and promote efficient management of healthcare human resources.

  • In modern society, the number of one-person households is increasing significantly. In particular, one-person households have rapidly increased around local small and medium-sized cities. This study examines the characteristics of local small and medium-sized cities by factor and cluster analysis. Analysis of variance are applied to the characteristics of one-person household in different local cities to find the relationship between different types of cities and the characteristics of one-person households. As a result of the study, local small and medium-sized cities are classified into growth stagnation cities, industrial leading cities, regional base cities, and population outflow cities. It is also found that there are several different types of local cities based on the characteristics of one-person households. The growth stagnation city is a city where the regional economy is revitalized due to the development of regional industries in the past. One-person households have a small age group in their 30s and 40s, which are the basis of industrial activities. They have a high proportion of older generation living in more than three rooms in their homes. It is necessary to supply long-term public rental housing and share houses for older generation. The leading city of the industry is a city where the local economy is revitalized as workers are concentrated. One-person households are evenly distributed among all age groups, and the apartment occupancy rate is the highest compared to other types. It is necessary to provide happy housing for youth generation and reconstruction or renovation housing of manhood generation. The regional base city leads the regional base function and the regional economy, but it has reduced workers. Many of one-person households are younger than 30 years old and college educated. They are also high rate of unmarried and live at one room as rental houses. It is needed to expand the supply of small houses such as apartments, officetels and rented houses for youth generation. The population outflow city has a slow local economy and a rural residential environment. It is found that the households of one-person households have high rate of bereavement and the age. They live more than four rooms in single-family homes. It is necessary not only to provide welfare housing but also to create a sound residential environment where cultural exchange is possible.

  • A single-person-house-holder has been increased since 2000s in South Korea, which led to high demands for small and medium-sized new houses requiring municipal architectural review committee consideration. And it has been argued recently that there are many limitations in the review system. Comprehensive expert surveys and interviews were conducted and the results were analyzed using the AHP to explore limitations in B city. The analysis with the data of 27 survey responds found that 'Related ordinance itself', 'Committee members limitation', and 'Absurdity on administrative procedure' are problematic in order of priority. It is also revealed that architects and administrative officials have different thoughts on the seriousness of those. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data on studies for improving the system.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to assess the factors that affect the confidence of nurses at small and medium-sized hospitals in the control of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms and to establish basic data for the interventional strategy to improve the nurses' execution of the control of infection caused by multidrug-resistant organisms. Methods: A total of 154 nurses working at four small and medium-sized hospitals situated in City C were selected as participants of this study. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the IBM SPSS 21.0 software. Results: Confidence in controlling infections caused by multdrug-resistant organisms had a positive correlation with the level of knowledge of this control and the health beliefs of the nurses. Factors that affect nurses' confidence in controlling infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms included perceived benefits (β=.431, p<.001) and knowledge (β=.354, p<.001) with an explanatory power of 36.4%. Conclusion: It was found that the nurses have higher confidence in executing their duties with higher perceived benefits of and knowledge about the control of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms. As such, it is deemed necessary to establish strategies to elevate the advantages of and knowledge about infection prevention activities at the time of training/education on controlling infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.

  • The fourth industrial revolution has attracted much academic attention in these past few years. However, research on systematic and extensive factors affecting adoption of Industry 4.0 by SMEs in developing countries, especially in Vietnam, has been unavailable. This study aims to explore the impact of factors that influence the actual adoption of Industry 4.0 by SMEs in Ho Chi Minh City. Mixed-method research was utilized in this study including in-depth interviews of 12 participants and quantitative research of 396 respondents who are representative of SMEs by both online and via paper surveys. The SPSS and SmartPLS 3 software were employed to help analyze the collected data. The results indicate that perceived development of the human resource, perceived on-time, perceived saving cost, perceived improve product quality, perceived saving time, perceived ease-of-use, business resources, and conditions of the business environment, perceived usefulness, perceived enhanced customer relationship, and adoption intention, all have a positive significant effect on actual adoption of Industry 4.0.
