메이크업 일러스트레이션 교육 활성화 방안 (An Activation Plan for Make-up Illustration Education)

  • Make-up illustration is a field of creativity with visible creative and artistic values; its ultimate functions include communication of information, artistic expression, and recording. Establishing the make-up illustration education environment for the twenty-first century, there is an urgent need for research and development of professional curricula for basic art education and illustration education. It is extremely important for educators and institutions teaching make-up illustration to recognize that training of highly creative and professional beau designers through systematic educational structures is the ultimate foundation for enhancing competitiveness of the beauty industry despite the present reality that there are insufficient studies and publications on beauty illustration and that there is lack of illustration lecturers and artists equipped with professional beauty knowledge. Therefore, this study was conducted to research and analyze offering of illustration subjects by 160 beauty-related vocational schools and 16 4-year undergraduate colleges in the make-up field, which is the field with most creative art activities among the three representative beauty majors, namely make-up, hair, and skin. Education of make-up illustration must not remain as simple short-term education. The curricula must be specialized for providing solid foundation of basic majors. In terms of education content, strong emphases must be made for original and creative mark-up designs as well as purposes, functions, and necessity of make-up design and illustration. The curricula must include systematic, logical and artistic elements. Through the course of this study, which researched, analyzed and proposed measures for education content of make-up illustration, it was found that make-up illustration is the most appropriate subject that fulfills both the ultimate education objectives of beauty colleges and the demand by the society for beauty professionals. It is hoped that make-up illustration is emphasized and recognized for its importance and necessity as an education subject so that similar basic major subjects will further be researched and developed for specialized education.

  • The major objectives of fruit breeding lie in improvement of cultivar, easy to be cultivated and of high quality, in order to produce unexpensive, delicious fruit both for fresh fruit market and processing. Recently, fruit breeding in Korea has contributed to breeding of several superior cultivars in major fruit crops, resulting in appreciable improvement in qualities such as skin color, taste and fruit-bearing habit concerned with productivity. In spite of accomplishments mentioned above, the need for both highly disease-resistant cultivars and long-keeping, physiological disorder-resistant cultivars to meet long distance transsportation in the temperate fruit crops of apples, oriental pears, stone fruits such as peaches, and grapes grown in Korea is rapidly pressing more than ever, as cultivars of today susceptible to pests and diseases and vulnerable to physiological disorders are very expensive and time-consuming in post-harvest handling and management. Thus, imporvements made in the above problems through breeding level will lead to the really enhanced productivity in fruit industry. The major impediments of tree size, the long length of juvenile period and the highly heterogeneous genetic composition to the improvement of fruit crops are responsible for the lower amount and rate of improvements of fruit crops as compared to annuals. Considering the expected limitations of the above problems to be solved through conventional breeding methods and strategy, a turning point of breeding a near perfect cultivar would be laid down if innovative breakthroughs in biological technology will be realized in applying some of the techniques of genetic manipulation at the molecular level to the cultivar improvement of fruit crops, such as the selective insertion of DNA carrying genes that govern desirable characteristics. More than anything else, those traits such as fruiting habit deciding productivity, elements of fruit qualities conditioned by monogene, and disease-and pest-resistance of vital importance for successful fruit growing are urgently desired to be improved by advancement of biotechnology for they are more than difficult and need long period to be attained through conventional breeding method.

한복 배색에 관한 연구 - 2005~2010년 치마, 저고리를 중심으로 - (Study on Color Coordination of Hanbok - Focusing on Chima, Jegori in 2005~2010 -)

  • Modern Hanbok uses newly different color coordination based on traditional color coordination and symbolic meaning. Thus, this study would investigate the aspects of color coordination and symbolic meaning and present the characteristics of Hanbok as the data of corresponding period in the modern times. In order to investigate recent trend of preferred colors and color coordination of Hanbok, this study focused on the period of 2005~2010. When analyzing colors of Jegori(jacket), Wh, Y, B, YG, P and Gy series are shown in order. For trends for color of Chima(skirt), Pk, R, P, Gy and Bk series are shown in order. When you look into the color coordination of skirt and jacket on whole, color coordination of Pk-Wh represents the highest frequency. Color coordinations of Pk-Y, Pk-B, R-Y, R-G and Pk-G are followed in order. Color coordinations of R-YG, Bk-Wh, O-Y, P-Wh, Pk-YG, Gy-Y, R-Wh series and Gy-Wh are followed in order. When looking into characteristics of overall color coordination of Hanbok, it was shown that there were many opportunities to meet a variety of culture and various colors had emerged depending on individual taste and skin color in the modern times within the framework of basic colors of woman's 'Nokeuihongsang'(Green upper garment and red skirt) R-G, Y series, which are traditionally inherited. In addition, unlike existing traditional color coordination of five elements in the past, P, Gy and Bk series of color appeared in the skirt and Jacket. It could be affected by fashionable drama and films at that time and newly attempted colors ahead of fashion were reflected on the magazine. Therefore, it implied that it naturally gave new awareness of colors to the general public and the width of selection of colors became diverse.

메이저 타로카드 분석 및 뷰티타로카드 디자인제작 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Major Tarot and the Making of Beauty Tarot Design)

  • 타로카드는 사람들의 재미와 호기심을 주는 하나의 놀이문화로 자리 잡고 있으므로 뷰티타로카드로 재미와 뷰티에 더 깊은 관심을 가질 수 있는 계기를 마련해 주고자 한다. 이에 선행연구를 바탕으로 타로카드의 기본이 되는 유니버셜웨이트 타로카드의 핵심요소인 메이저 아르카나카드를 중심으로 카발라를 적용하여 뷰티타로카드를 해석하였다. 유니버셜타로카드의 기본상징인 불 물 공기 땅 4원소를 뷰티와 관련된 상징으로 브러쉬, 파운데이션, 눈썹칼, 섀도우로 변경하여 뷰티타로카드를 메이저 아르카나 22장에 디자인을 적용하여 뷰티타로카드 점을 상담방법으로써 활용 할 수 있는 도구를 제작하였다. 제작된 뷰티타로카드는 타로 리더나 관련 종사자가 직접 활용하여 타로카드에 흥미를 가지고 있는 사람들에게 뷰티와 관련된 상담을 유용하게 할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 앞으로 뷰티타로카드에 대한 연구 관심도를 높이고 흥미를 이끌어 내고 메이크업, 헤어, 피부, 네일아트 등 다양한 미용영역에 알맞은 타로카드의 제작을 기대한다.

고구려 고분벽화에 표현된 점문양 복식의 염색 연구 (A Study on the Dyeing Method of the Dot-Patterned Costumes on the Mural Paintings of Goguryeo)

  • Research into the ancient dyeing and weaving culture is of critical importance to the fact that they constitute an integral part of the Korean costume. Due to the absence of the originals reflecting ancient costume cultures, it is difficult to figure out what the dyeing and weaving culture was like in ancient times. Because of limited visual materials available from the wall paintings of ancient tombs, studies conducted so far concerning the costume culture for the Goguryeo have focused on visual elements such as shape, structure, and type. As a result, research into ancient Korean dyeing and weaving cultures hasn't been properly made. Thanks to the presence of both some dyeing fabric originals from Goguryeo's neighboring countries and some visual materials like the wall paintings of the Goguryeo, it may be possible to obtain some clues to the dyeing and weaving culture. The dotted Pattern costumes were selected such as Muyongchong, No. 1 Jangcheon Tomb, Gakjeochong, Samsilchong, Ssangyeongchong, Susanri Tomb. According to a book titled ‘Hanwon’, the Goguryeo people manufactured fabrics in such a way that resist-dyed spots produced elaborate patterns over the purple fabric. It can be safely said that such dot patterns were produced by means of dyeing rather than weaving, because identical patterns aren’t well produced by means of painting and embroidery. Considering Goguryeo’s natural features, the dot patterns mentioned in historical literatures are thought to have been produced using animal’s skin. However, there is highest possibility that the dot Patterns were Produced using tie-resist dyeing or wax-resist dyeing techniques. With respect to the dyeing and weaving culture for the Goguryeo, one must refer to neighboring countries’ dyeing and weaving environments, given that the Goguryeo had engaged substantial cultural exchanges with China.

화장품 앱에서 가상 메이크업 템플릿과 메이크업 룩과의 관계에 관한 연구 (A Quantitative and Qualitative Study on Virtual Makeup of Instant Beautifying Application - Focus on Color and Shape)

  • 본 연구는 화장품 앱이 제공하는 가상 메이크업 템플릿과 메이크업 룩의 관계를 조사하였다. 한국의 20대 및 30대 여성 34명을 대상으로 설문조사한 결과, 19개 가상 메이크업 템플릿중 'Bella', 'Hilary', 'Cara' 등 3개를 가장 선호하며, 이에 상응하는 메이크업 룩은 각각 '섹시', '클래식', '내추럴'인 것으로 조사되었다. 전문가의 정성적 평가와 통계적 분석에 의한 정량적 평가를 통해 이들은 메이크업 템플릿과 유사한 메이크업 룩을 선호하고, 전반적으로 고명도의 연한 피부색과 중명도의 밝은 입술색을 선호하는 것으로 분석되었다.

복잡한 영상에서의 영역 분할을 이용한 얼굴 검출 (Face Detection Using Region Segmentation on Complex Image)

  • 본 논문에서는 복잡한 배경, 심한 조명 변화 등의 다양한 환경 변화에서도 얼굴을 정확히 검출하기 위하여 영역 분할을 이용한 얼굴 검출을 제안한다. 입력된 영상에서 배경요소들로, 인한 검출 오류를 줄이기 위하여 JSEG 방법을 사용하여 영상을 영역 단위로 분할한다. 분할된 각 영역에서 사전 정의된 피부색에 해당되는 픽셀들을 추출한다. 각 영역에서 추출된 픽셀들의 비율을 이용하여 얼굴 후보 영역을 결정한다. 그리고 결정된 얼굴 후보 영역에서 얼굴요소에 해당되는 눈과 눈썹이 위치 정보와 색상 정보를 이용하여 최종 얼굴 영역을 검출한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법을 이용하여 다양한 제약 조건을 지닌 영상들에 대하여 얼굴을 검출해본 결과, 배경이 복잡한 영상, 조명 변화가 심한 영상, 얼굴 크기가 다양한 영상, 얼굴이 다수 존재하는 영상들에서 좋은 검출 결과를 보여주었다.

젤리스 금속 전극으로 측정가능한 휴대용 디지털 심전도계의 개발 (Development of a Portable Digital Electrocardiograph(ECG) measurable with Gel-less Metal Electrodes)

  • 심장 질환의 이상 현상은 항상 나타나는 것이 아니므로 오랜 시간 동안 심장상태를 관찰해야 한다. 하지만, 의료장비는 크기, 장비 조작, 비용 면에서 개인이 소유하여 장시간 동안 건강 체크를 하기에는 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는, 젤리스 금속 전극으로 측정 가능한 휴대용 디지털 심전도계를 제작하였다. 전극은 기존의 젤 타입 전극 대신 젤리스 금속 전극을 사용함으로써 기존 젤 타입 전극의 단점이었던 피부발진 또는 가려움증 유발 등의 문제점을 개선하였다. 전체 심전도계는 크게 아날로그 계측 회로부와 디지털 회로부로 구성하였다. 아날로그 계측 회로부는 동상모드 잡음을 효과적으로 제거할 수 있는 op-amp와 smd타입의 수동소자를 사용하여 18*25mm 크기로 설계 및 구현하였다. 디지털 회로부에서는 마이크로 컨트롤러를 이용하여 아날로그 신호인 심장신호를 디지털 신호로 변환하여 TFT-LCD에 디스플레이할 수 있도록 하였다. 완성된 휴대용 심전도계의 크기는 25*80*50mm이고, 무게는 약 150g 정도로써 가볍고 휴대하기 용이하게 소형으로 제작하였다.

지반조건에 따른 말뚝의 인발저항 평가를 위한 말뚝-지반 경계면 강도감소계수 고찰 (A Study on Strength Reduction Factor of Pile-soil Interface for Evaluation of Pile Pullout Resistance by Soil Condition)

  • 본 연구에서는 원지반의 상대밀도와 세립분 함유율의 조건에 따른 말뚝의 인발거동 특성 규명을 위하여, 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 수치해석에서는 말뚝과 지반 경계에서의 전단거동을 원활히 모사하기 위해서 경계요소와 경계면 강도감소계수($R_{inter}$)를 부여하였으며, 그 결과를 기존의 실험적 연구결과(You et al., 2018)와 비교함으로써 본 수치해석 방법의 신뢰성을 검증하였고, 말뚝-지반 경계면에서의 변형 특성과 함께 경계요소에 대한 $R_{inter}$값의 결정방법을 제시하였다. 해석 결과, 본 연구에서 적용된 해석모델을 이용한 수치해석은 말뚝의 인발모형실험에 의한 말뚝과 지반의 경계면 특성을 적절하게 모사하였다. 또한 제시된 $R_{inter}$의 적용에 있어서, 반드시 지반의 상대밀도와 세립분 함유율 조건을 고려해야 할 필요가 있음을 확인하였다.

Creating damage tolerant intersections in composite structures using tufting and 3D woven connectors

  • As the industrial desire for a step change in productivity within the manufacture of composite structures increases, so does the interest in Through-Thickness Reinforcement technologies. As manufacturers look to increase the production rate, whilst reducing cost, Through-Thickness Reinforcement technologies represent valid methods to reinforce structural joints, as well as providing a potential alternative to mechanical fastening and bolting. The use of tufting promises to resolve the typically low delamination resistance, which is necessary when it comes to creating intersections within complex composite structures. Emerging methods include the use of 3D woven connectors, and orthogonally intersecting fibre packs, with the components secured by the selective insertion of microfasteners in the form of tufts. Intersections of this type are prevalent in aeronautical applications, as a typical connection to be found in aircraft wing structures, and their intersections with the composite skin and other structural elements. The common practice is to create back-to-back composite "L's", or to utilise a machined metallic connector, mechanically fastened to the remainder of the structure. 3D woven connectors and selective Through-Thickness Reinforcement promise to increase the ultimate load that the structure can bear, whilst reducing manufacturing complexity, increasing the load carrying capability and facilitating the automated production of parts of the composite structure. This paper provides an overview of the currently available methods for creating intersections within composite structures and compares them to alternatives involving the use of 3D woven connectors, and the application of selective Through-Thickness Reinforcement for enhanced damage tolerance. The use of tufts is investigated, and their effect on the load carrying ability of the structure is examined. The results of mechanical tests are presented for each of the methods described, and their failure characteristics examined.
