Improving the mechanical properties of concrete in the construction industry in order to increase resistance to dynamic and static loads is one of the essential topics for researchers. In this work, vibration analysis of elastic nanocomposite beams reinforced by nanoparticles based on mathematical model is presented. For modelling of the strucuture, sinusoidal shear deformation beam theory (SSDBT) is utilized. Mori-anak model model is utilized for obtaining the effective properties of the strucuture including agglomeration influences. Utilizing the energy method and Hamilton's principal, the motion equations are calculated. The frequency of the elastic nanocomposite beam is obtanied by analytical method. The aim of this work is investigating the effects of nanoparticles volume percent and agglomeration, length and thickness of the beam on the frequency of the structure. The results show that the with enhancing the nanoparticles volume percent, the frequency is increased. In addition, the water absorption of the concrete is presented in this article.
In this article, a free vibration analysis of functionally graded (FG) plates resting on elastic foundations is presented using a quasi-3D hybrid-type higher order shear deformation theory. Undetermined integral terms are employed in the proposed displacement field and modeled based on a hybrid-type (sinusoidal and parabolic) quasi-3D HSDT with five unknowns in which the stretching effect is taken into account. Thus, it can be said that the significant feature of this theory is that it deals with only 5 unknowns as the first order shear deformation theory (FSDT). The elastic foundation parameters are introduced in the present formulation by following the Pasternak (two-parameter) mathematical model. Equations of motion are obtained via the Hamilton's principles and solved using Navier's method. Accuracy of the proposed theory is confirmed by comparing the results of numerical examples with the ones available in literature.
Wheel-rail noise is normally classified into three catagories : rolling impact and squeal noise. In this paper rolling noise caused by the irregularity between a wheel and a rail is analysed as follows: The irregularity between the wheel and the rail is assumed as linear superposition of sinusoidal profiles. Wheel-rail contact stiffness is linearized by using Hertzian contact theory and then contact force between the wheel and the rail is calculated. vibration of the rail and the wheel is calculated theoretically by receptance method or FEM depending on the geometry of the wheel or the rail for the frequency range of 100-500 Hz important for noise generation. The radiation noise caused by those vibration response is computed by BEM To verify this analysis tools rolling noise is calculated by proposed analysis steps using typical roughness data and these results are compared with experimental rolling noise data. This analysis tools show reasonable results and finally used for the prediction of the Korean high speed train rolling noise.
This research presents a nonlinear model to analyze the ball bearing nitration due to the waviness in a rigid rotor supported by multi-row ball bearings. The waviness of a ball and each races is modeled by the superposition of sinusoidal function, and the position vectors of inner and outer groove radius center are defined with respect to the mass center of the rotor in order to consider five degrees of freedom of a general rotor-bearing system. The waviness of a ball bearing is introduced to these position vectors to use the Hertzian contact theory in order to calculate the elastic deflection and nonlinear contact force resulting from the waviness while the rotor has translational and angular motion. They can be determined by solving the nonlinear equations of motion with five degrees of freedom by using the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg algorithm. Numerical results of this research are validated with those of prior researchers. The proposed model can calculate the translational displacement as well as the angular displacement of the rotor supported by the multi-row ball bearings with waviness. It also characterizes the nitration frequencies resulting from the various kinds of waviness in rolling elements, the harmonic frequencies resulting from the nonlinear load-deflection characteristics of ball bearing. and the sideband frequencies resulting from the waviness interaction.
A novel three-degree-of-freedom (DOF) forced vibration system has been developed for identification of aeroelastic (self-excited) load parameters used in time-domain response analysis of wind-excited flexible structures. This system is capable of forcing sinusoidal motions on a section model of a structure that is used in wind tunnel aeroelastic studies along all three degrees of freedom - along-wind, cross-wind, and torsional - simultaneously or in any combination thereof. It utilizes three linear actuators to force vibrations at a consistent frequency but varying amplitudes between the three. This system was designed to identify all the parameters, namely, aeroelastic- damping and stiffness that appear in self-excited (motion-dependent) load formulation either in time-domain (rational functions) or frequency-domain (flutter derivatives). Relatively large displacements (at low frequencies) can be generated by the system, if required. Results from three experiments, airfoil, streamlined bridge deck and a bluff-shaped bridge deck, are presented to demonstrate the functionality and robustness of the system and its applicability to multiple cross-section types. The system will allow routine identification of aeroelastic parameters through wind tunnel tests that can be used to predict response of flexible structures in extreme and transient wind conditions.

Dynamic response of buried pipelines both in the axial and the transverse directions on concrete pipe and steel pipe, FRP pipe were investigated through a free vibration analysis. End boundary conditions considered herein consist of free ends, fixed ends, and fixed-free ends in the axial and the transverse direction. Guided ends, simply supported ends, and supported-guided ends were added to the transverse direction. The buried pipeline was regarded as a beam on an elastic foundation and the ground displacement of sinusoidal wave was applied to it. Natural frequencies and mode shapes were determined according to end boundary conditions. In addition, the effects of parameters on the natural frequency were evaluated. The natural frequency is affected most significantly by the soil stiffness and the length of the buried pipelines. The natural frequency increases as the soil stiffness increases while it decreases as the length of the buried pipeline increases. Such behavior appears to be dominant in the axial direction rather than in the transverse direction of the buried pipelines.

The purposes of the research were to evaluate system performance and response of building structure under external load for full scale modal-testing-tower applied toggle bracing and lead rubber damper(LRD). The dynamic properties of the structure were measured before and after installing damper under harmonic excitation using the AMD and the results were compared. The harmonic excitation condition is to increase 0.01Hz sine sweep signal from 0.49Hz to 0.63Hz. As a result of measuring resonant frequency, before installing damper is 0.55Hz and after installing damper is 0.62Hz. The experimental results after installing damper were also distinguished from simulation results and the main cause of this results is temperature dependency property of rubber material.
The effect of porosity on bending and free vibration behavior of simply supported functionally graded plate reposed on the Winkler-Pasternak foundation is investigated analytically in the present paper. The modified rule of mixture covering porosity phases is used to describe and approximate material properties of the FGM plates with porosity phases. The effect due to transverse shear is included by using a new refined shear deformation theory. The number of unknown functions involved in the present theory is only four as against five or more in case of other shear deformation theories. The Poisson ratio is held constant. Based on the sinusoidal shear deformation theory, the position of neutral surface is determined and the equation of motion for FG rectangular plates resting on elastic foundation based on neutral surface is obtained through the minimum total potential energy and Hamilton's principle. The convergence of the method is demonstrated and to validate the results, comparisons are made with the available solutions for both isotropic and functionally graded material (FGM). The effect of porosity volume fraction on Al/Al2O3 and Ti-6Al-4V/Aluminum oxide plates are presented in graphical forms. The roles played by the constituent volume fraction index, the foundation stiffness parameters and the geometry of the plate is also studied.

In this study a methodology to evaluate fatigue life of the electronic parts for the fighter radar unit under random vibration loading is presented. To do this, one parameter for the 3-σ RMS quation of Steinberg fatigue model is modified to come up with a printed circuit board(PCB) with multiple electronic parts, while fundamental frequency and dynamic deflection of the PCB are calculated from a MATLAB based finite element computer code. For the RIFA structure selected in this study, the 3-σ RMS fatigue limit displacement is reduced to 0.741 times as much as the Steinberg model. This investigation allows to assess the life of multiple electronic parts mounted on the PCB with reinforced metal cover/body showing non-sinusoidal deflection patterns.
Due to the extensive use of concrete structures in various applications, the improvement of their strength and quality has become of great importance. A new way of achieving this purpose is to add different types of nanoparticles to concrete admixtures. In this work, a mathematical model has been employed to analyze the vibration of concrete beams reinforced by graphene oxide (GO) nanoparticles. To verify the accuracy of the presented model, an experimental study has been conducted to compare the compressive strengths of these beams. Since GO nanoparticles are not readily dissolved in water, before producing the concrete samples, the GO nanoparticles are dispersed in the mixture by using a shaker, magnetic striker, ultrasonic devices, and finally, by means of a mechanical mixer. The sinusoidal shear deformation beam theory (SSDBT) is employed to model the concrete beams. The Mori-Tanaka model is used to determine the effective properties of the structure, including the agglomeration influences. The motion equations are calculated by applying the energy method and Hamilton's principle. The vibration frequencies of the concrete beam samples are obtained by an analytical method. Three samples containing 0.02% GO nanoparticles are made and their compressive strengths are measured and compared. There is a good agreement between our results and those of the mathematical model and other papers, with a maximum difference of 1.29% between them. The aim of this work is to investigate the effects of nanoparticle volume fraction and agglomeration and the influences of beam length and thickness on the vibration frequency of concrete structures. The results show that by adding the GO nanoparticles, the vibration frequency of the beams is increased.
