가상현실 시뮬레이션 교육이 간호과정 수행능력에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Virtual Reality Simulation Education on Nursing Process Competency)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생의 가상현실 시뮬레이션 교육 전후의 간호과정 수행능력, 비판적사고성향과 자기효능감의 차이를 파악하여 효과적인 실습교육의 기초자료를 마련하고자 함이다. 2021년 2월부터 4월까지 간호대학생 31명에게 URL설문지를 이용하여 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 가상현실 시뮬레이션 교육 후 간호대학생의 간호과정 수행능력(t=-3.776, p=.001), 비판적사고성향(t=-3.608, p=.001), 자기효능감(t=-3.580, p=.001)이 교육 전보다 유의하게 높아졌다. 또한 전공만족도, 임상실습만족도가 높은 집단과 임상실습만족도가 보통인 집단과 학업스트레스가 높은 집단에서도 가상현실 시뮬레이션 교육 후 간호과정 수행능력, 비판적사고성향, 자기효능감이 교육전보다 유의하게 높아졌다. 가상현실 시뮬레이션 교육이 간호대학생의 간호과정 수행능력 향상에 효과적임이 확인되었다. 따라서, 가상현실 시뮬레이션 교육이 간호과정 수행능력 향상을 위한 임상실습 전략으로 활용될 수 있으며, 이를 위해 다양한 시나리오 개발과 후속연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to examine the effects of simulation-based education on nursing knowledge, anxiety, and clinical performance ability in nursing students before their first clinical practice. Methods: Third-year university students who had not yet entered their first clinical practice were recruited to participate in the study. Nineteen students formed the experimental group and participated in simulation-based education for 7 sessions. The 19 students in the control group were provided with clinical practice orientation in the form of traditional lectures. Outcome measures assessed nursing knowledge, clinical practice anxiety, and clinical performance ability. Data were collected before and immediately after the simulation-based education and after six weeks of clinical practice. Results: Nursing knowledge and clinical anxiety were not statistically significant between the groups. However, there was a significant improvement in the clinical performance abilities of the experimental group. Among the subcategories, the ability to apply the nursing process and the ability to educate and cooperate were shown to maintain significant differences from the control group by the end of the six weeks of clinical practice. Conclusion: The simulation prior to nursing students' first clinical practice could be useful to improve clinical performance ability. Nursing educators should consider building programs to reduce anxiety and improve performance ability through simulations.

학습자 중심의 가상현실 시뮬레이션 교육 효과 (Effect of Learner-Centered Virtual Reality Simulation Education)

  • 본 연구는 학습자 중심의 가상현실 시뮬레이션 교육의 효과를 확인하기 위한 것이다. 그리고 교육효과 확인을 통해 가상현실 시뮬레이션 교육이 실습교육으로서 활용될 수 있게 하는 기초 자료를 제시하고자 한다. 자료수집은 2021년 4월 26일~6월 4일까지였으며 자료분석은 IBM SPSS Statistics 25 program을 활용하여 paired t-test, Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, Spearman's correlation coefficient로 분석하였다. 연구결과 가상현실 시뮬레이션 교육 후 비판적 사고성향, 임상수행능력, 실습만족도가 향상되었고 각각 양의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 가상현실 시뮬레이션 교육은 간호학과 학생에게 효과적인 교수방법이며 향후 다양하고 체계적인 시나리오 및 실습 프로그램을 개발하고 적용해 나갈 필요가 있다.

간호대학생의 시뮬레이션 실습경험에 관한 질적 메타합성 연구 (Learning Experience of Undergraduate Nursing Students in Simulation: A Meta-synthesis and Meta-ethnography Study)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to review and synthesize the existing literature on the experience of nursing students in simulation. Methods: A systematic review was undertaken using meta-ethnography. Eight databases were searched up to January 2014 for peer-reviewed studies, written in Korean and English, that reported primary data, used identifiable and interpretative qualitative methods, and offered a valuable contribution to the synthesis. Results: Nine studies were identified, with quality appraisal undertaken. Three key concepts were generated: ambivalence of simulation practice, learning by reflection, and building up of the competency as a future nurse. Six sub-concepts emerged: double sidedness of simulation setting; feeling ambivalence of simulation; learning from others; learning from self-reflection; improvement of confidence by role experience; and internalization of nursing knowledge. A line of argument has been developed based on the themes generated. Conclusion: The findings from this qualitative synthesis and other related literature indicated the importance of capability of educator and extension of the simulation system to facilitate effective simulation-based education.

시뮬레이션기반 응급간호교육을 받은 간호학생의 학업성취도와 자기효능감, 학습태도 및 수업만족도의 관계 (The Relationship among Learning Satisfaction, Learning Attitude, Self-efficacy and the Nursing Students' Academic Achievement after Simulation-based Education on Emergency Nursing Care)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a lesson plan related to a simulation for nursing students by understanding what relationship learning satisfaction, self-efficacy and learning attitude have after applying simulation-based education on emergency nursing care. Methods: Simulation practice, seminar, class and group self-study about a patient having a myocardial infarction were applied to nursing students for 5 weeks. After applying the simulation-based education on emergency nursing care, students rated their learning attitude, learning satisfaction and a sense of self-efficacy with a self-administered questionnaire and academic achievement was divided into written and performance evaluation. SPSS/WIN 17.0 was used for descriptive analysis, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA and pearson correlation were also used. Results: In this study, the performance evaluation score was related to learning attitude (r=.210, p=.018).Learning satisfaction (r=.220, p=.013)and written evaluation score was related to learning attitude (r=.211, p=.017) and learning satisfaction (r=.190, p=.032). Conclusion: In this study, simulation-based learning was a useful method for practical ability and this is good to acquire both of knowledge and technique. Not only evaluation of theoretical knowledge but performance ability related to practice has to be done by developing lessons with various methods and content. In addition, a standard evaluation method needs to be developed.

가상현실 (VR) 및 증강현실 (AR) 기반 의료 시뮬레이션 교육에 관한 연구 동향 (Research Trends in Medical Simulation Education Based on Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR))

  • Purpose To develop an educational program using virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) in oriental medicine education, this study investigated the status of programs currently being used mainly in the fields of medicine, nursing, and dentistry, and was the basis for developing an oriental medicine education program. We plan to use this for future research purposes. Methods To investigate medical simulation education using VR and AR technologies, 72 studies were searched using the ProQuest Central Database (period 1.1.2000 to 10.10.2023.) Of these, 22 were selected for analysis. Results Among the selected studies, the educational fields of the program were 59% (13 studies) in medicine, 32% (7 studies) in nursing, 9% (2 studies) in dentistry, 73% (16 studies) were VR in terms of applied technology, and 27% (6 studies) in AR. Conclusions Recently, research on VRand AR has increased in the medical field. As patient rights and medical environments change, clinical practice education programs using new technologies are needed, in addition to traditional face-to-face practice. Related research is expected to be active in the field of Oriental medicine in the future.

산후출혈 산모 간호 시뮬레이션 교육 프로그램의 효과 (Simulation-based education program on postpartum hemorrhage for nursing students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a simulation-based postpartum care education program for women with postpartum hemorrhage and to verify the effects of the program on postpartum care. Methods: This program was developed according to the ADDIE model of instructional system design, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. This quasi-experimental study used a non-equivalent control group pre- and post-test design, and data were collected from April 23 to May 4, 2015. To verify the effects of the program, 33 nursing students in the experimental group participated in a simulation program, whereas 31 students in the control group were given a case study. Results: The experimental group had statistically significantly higher scores for clinical performance (t=-4.80, p<.001), clinical judgment (t=-4.14, p<.001), and learning satisfaction (t=-10.45, p<.001) than the control group. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the simulation-based postpartum care education program for women with postpartum hemorrhage was effective for developing students' competency, implying that a similar program should be integrated into the clinical training component of the maternal nursing curriculum.

시뮬레이션교육 디브리핑이 간호대학생의 직업기초능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Debriefing in Nursing Simulation based Education on the Vocational Basic Competencies)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생을 대상으로 시뮬레이션교육의 디브리핑과 직업기초능력과의 관계를 규명하고, 직업기초능력 향상에 필요한 기초자료를 제시하고자 시도되었다. 연구대상자는 J도에 소재하는 K 대학의 간호학 전공 4학년 학생 203명이었다. 연구결과, 시뮬레이션교육 디브리핑은 직업기초능력과 정적인 상관관계이었으며, 직업기초능력에 영향을 미치는 디브리핑은 '토론유도'가 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 직업기초능력을 강화하기 위해 시뮬레이션교육의 토론활동을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램이 필요하다.

간호학생을 위한 시뮬레이션 기반교육과정 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of a Simulation-based Education Course for Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a simulation-based education course and to evaluate the results after the application for second year nursing students. Methods: This study was a non-equivalent control pre-post design. Based on the clinical situation scenarios about patients with COPD and MI, a total of two simulation-based learning modules was developed. Pretest and posttest was conducted to evaluate the difference in critical thinking disposition, problem solving, and clinical competence between two groups of 102 students for the experimental group, 2007 and 90 students for the control group, 2006. The experimental group conducted a clinical performance evaluation in the final test, on December 10, 2007. Results: In the experimental group, knowledge related to learning objectives was significantly increased and core intervention was performed almost exactly, but the same result was not observed in domains of analysis of laboratory test, and nursing education for patients. Self-evaluated clinical competence and problem solving level were significantly more improved in the experimental group than control group, but critical thinking disposition level wasn't. Conclusion: In conclusion, a simulation-based education course needs to utilize self-directed learning module like computer-based learning through web contents and MicroSim and video productions for improving nursing students' critical thinking.

간호사를 위한 3S-BIS (Business Intelligence Systems) 교육 프로그램 효과 (Effects of 3S-BIS (3S Business Intelligence Systems) for Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the impact of the 3S-Smart, Simple & Speed Business Intelligence Systems(3S-BIS) program on various aspects including simulation design assessment, simulation education assessment, satisfaction among education participants, academic self-efficacy, entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial competency for nurses. Method: This research was a non-equivalent control trial design study using two groups. 23 participants in experimental group, and 22 in the control group. Data were collected three intervals: before program, immediately after the program, four weeks later. Results: The experimental group showed significantly higher values across parameters, including simulation design assessment, simulation education assessment, satisfaction among education participants, academic self-efficacy, entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial competency. Conclusion: The 3S-BIS program has shown a positive impact on improving nursing start-up competency. Applying 3S-BIS can be effectively used across all ranges of nurses and is recommended.
