As invigoration plan of the marine tourism, Busan City has the plan to operate the cruise ship inside of the harbor, but the area has narrow water way with heavy traffic. As a result it is requested to evaluate the safety for the preparation of actual navigation. In this study, the Ship Handling Simulation (SHS) Assessment was conducted, which is regulated by the Maritime Traffic Safety Audit Scheme (MTSAS) in compliance with the Marine Safety Law and the Maritime Traffic Risk Assessment System based on the Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS). The proximity assessment, control assessment and subjective assessment were implemented, which is enacted by the Marine Safety Law by using the SHS. In the case of proximity assessment, the probability of trespass was not analyzed. As the control assessment, the swept path was measured at 11.7 m and 11.5 m for port entry and port departure respectively, which exceeded the width of the model vessel, 10.4 m over; it was considered as a marginal factor. As a result of the subjective evaluation of the navigator, there would be no difficulty on ship maneuvering by paying particular attention to the mooring vessel nearby the Busan Bridge and Yeongdo Bridge as well as the coming vessel from the invisible sea area when the vessel is entering and departing the port. The Marine Traffic Risk Assessment System analyzed as [Cautious] level until the vessel passed the Busan bridge and the curved area at 5 kts and it became to [Dangerous] level from where it left 75 m to the Busan Bridge. When the vessel passed the Busan Bridge and the curved area at 10 kts and entered the narrow area, it indicated the [Dangerous] level and became to [Very dangerous] level from where it left 410 m to the Busan bridge. In conclusion, the vessel should maintain at the speed of 5 kts to reduce the risk when it passes this area.

In this paper, we suggest an advance method for maintaining a perceived behavior as triangle formation and preventing collision between each other in case of a flying drone. In the existing studies, the collision of the drone is only controlled by using light entered in the camera or the image processing. However, when there is no light, it is difficult to confirm the position of each other and they can collide because this system can not confirm the each other's position. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the system to solve the problems by using the distance and the relative coordinates of the three drones that were determined using the ALPS(Ad hoc network Localized Positioning System) algorithm. This system can be a new algorithm that will prevent collisions between each other during flying the drone object. The proposed algorithm is that we make drones maintaining a determined constant value of the distance between coordinates of each drone and the measured center of the drone of triangle formation. Therefore, if the form of fixed formation is disturbed, they reset the position of the drone so as to keep the distance between each drone and the center coordinates constant. As a result of the simulation, if we use the system where the supposed algorithm is applied, we can expect that it is possible to prevent malfunction or an accident due to collisions by preventing collisions of drones in advanced behavior system.
Recently, a considerable number of studies have been conducted on the high resolution imagery showing the boundaries of objects clearly. When urban areas are analyzed in detail using the high resolution imagery, the size of analyzed zone is apt to be decided arbitrarily. Sufficient prior information about study area makes the decision of analysis zone possible; otherwise, it is difficult to determine the optimized analysis zone using only satellite imagery. In this study, the variograms of artificial simple images are analyzed before applying to the real satellite images. As a result of the analysis of simple images, the sill has an effect on the density of objects and also the size of objects and spacing influence the range. The variograms of real satellite images are analyzed with reference to the result of model test and are applied to determining the optimized analysis zone. This study shows that variogram can be applied to determining effectively the optimized analysis zone in case of no prior information on study area; moreover it will be expected to be used for an index to express the characteristics of urban imagery as well as conventional kriging and simulation.

Since 2017, a total of 29 fire accidents have occurred in energy storage systems (ESSs) as of June 2020. The common mode voltage (CMV) is one of the electrical hazards that is assumed to be a cause of those fire accidents. Several cases of CMV that violate the allowable insulation level of a battery section are being reported in actual ESS operation sites with △-Y winding connections. Thus, this paper evaluates the characteristics of CMV. An ESS site was modeled with an AC grid, PCS, and battery sections using PSCAD/EMTDC software. As a result of a simulation based on the proposed model, it was confirmed that characteristics of CMV vary significantly and are similar to actual measurements, depending on the grounding method of the internal transformer for PCS. The insulation level of the battery section may be severely degraded as the value of CMV exceeds the rated voltage in case of a grounding connection. It was found that the value of CMV dramatically declines when the internal transformer for PCS is operated as non-grounding connection, so it meets the standard insulation level.

Objective : Recently, three-dimensional (3D) printed models of the intracranial vascular have served as useful tools in simulation and training for cerebral aneurysm clipping surgery. Precise and realistic 3D printed aneurysm models may improve patients' understanding of the 3D cerebral aneurysm structure. Therefore, we created patient-specific 3D printed aneurysm models as an educational and clinical tool for patients undergoing aneurysm clipping surgery. Herein, we describe how these 3D models can be created and the effects of applying them for patient education purpose. Methods : Twenty patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysm were randomly divided into two groups. We explained and received informed consent from patients in whom 3D printed models-(group I) or computed tomography angiography-(group II) was used to explain aneurysm clipping surgery. The 3D printed intracranial aneurysm models were created based on time-of-flight magnetic resonance angiography using a 3D printer with acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene resin as the model material. After describing the model to the patients, they completed a questionnaire about their understanding and satisfaction with aneurysm clipping surgery. Results : The 3D printed models were successfully made, and they precisely replicated the actual intracranial aneurysm structure of the corresponding patients. The use of the 3D model was associated with a higher understanding and satisfaction of preoperative patient education and consultation. On a 5-point Likert scale, the average level of understanding was scored as 4.7 (range, 3.0-5.0) in group I. In group II, the average response was 2.5 (range, 2.0-3.0). Conclusion : The 3D printed models were accurate and useful for understanding the intracranial aneurysm structure. In this study, 3D printed intracranial aneurysm models were proven to be helpful in preoperative patient consultation.

In December 2017, many collision accidents of small vessels, such as those between oil refineries and fishing boats, occurred near Yeonghung-do in Incheon. In order to prevent marine casualties from small vessels, the government is striving to improve the safety capabilities of ship operators by strengthening education and improving the working environment. They are providing education and refining training regulations for fishermen operating vessels under 5 tons. However, the situation includes certain vulnerabilities. In this study, we propose a collision prevention algorithm for small vessels using the Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments (WAVE) communication system, which is a new communication technique to prevent collisions with small ships. The collision avoidance algorithm used is based on DCPA/TCPA. Research analyses, simulation experiments and questionnaires have been conducted to define the criteria of DCPA/TCPA. As a result, the standard for DCPA was $8(L_a+L_b)$ and for TCPA was 2.5 min. Three different accident cases were selected, and this algorithm was applied to confirm alarm responses at certain times. This algorithm can provide information to the operators of small ships in advance to help them recognize potential collision situations.

This study was a descriptive study conducted to identify factors that had an influence on clinical competency of core basic nursing skills(CBNS) during the clinical practice in nursing students. Data were collected from 3rd and 4th grade 190 nursing students in G city using self-report questionnaire, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, the t-test, one way ANOVA, multiple regression with SPSS 23.0 program. This study found that the number of experience CBNS below 5 was 51.1%, and the number of observation CBNS over 11 was 78.4%. Clinical competency according to general characteristics, clinical practice satisfaction and the level of CBNS experience increased with male, increase age and grade, and major subject satisfaction and clinical practice satisfaction, especially, as the number of experience CBNS increased, clinical competency increased(p<0.001). But clinical competency did not differ according to the number of observation CBNS(p=0.463). The factors affecting the clinical competency of nursing students were age, grade, clinical practice satisfaction and the number of experience CBNS. Therefore, it is important to increase the opportunity to directly experience the various CBNS in clinical practice of nursing students in the nursing education curriculum, and it is necessary to find ways to actively use simulation education.

Hwajinpo Lagoon, located on the eastern coast of Korea, is a unique environment where freshwater and saltwater are mixed. Systematic management of the lagoon is required because it is a biodiversity-rich and area of high conservation value. The existing environment of the lagoon was evaluated by identifying the distribution of the groundwater level and groundwater flow characteristics. In addition, hydrogeochemical fluctuations were analyzed to determine the effect of seawater intrusion into the aquifer. The results demonstrate that the freshwater-saltwater interface is distributed throughout the aquifer and rises when water of the lagoon evaporates due to prolonged periods of low rainfall and high temperature, thereby increasing the possibility of seawater inflow through groundwater. As for the ionic delta properties (difference between the measured and theoretical concentration of mixed waters), it was estimated that the cation-exchange and precipitation reactions occurred in the aquifer due to seawater intrusion. The ratio of seawater mixed at each point was calculated, using oxygen isotopes and chloride as tracers, resulting in an average of 0.3 and a maximum of 0.87. The overall seawater mixing ratio appears to be distributed according to the distance from the coast. However, some of the results were deviated from the theoretical expectations and reflected the characteristics of the nearby aquifers. Further research on seasonal changes and simulation of seawater intrusion mechanisms is required for specific analysis.
This study attempted to understand the characteristics of pedagogic activities performed by pre-service elementary school teachers. To this end, it applied Algodoo simulations to analyze the actions of students and obtain educational implications for optical learning. The study's participants comprised 79 first-year students enrolled in a teacher training college. Their activities could be classified as representation reproductions, verification experiments, and inquiry experiments. Students who performed representation reproduction exercises replicated renowned and authoritative exemplars, apprehending and demonstrating their principal features through simulations. Students performing verification experiments attempted to validate previously learned optical concepts by reviewing the relevant theoretical contexts. Such students primarily conducted simple experiments. Students accomplishing inquiry experiments used simulations to explore phenomena they did not know. Some of them even investigated optical phenomena beyond the domain of general physics. The above results confirmed that free optical experiments performed using Algodoo can effectively denote starting points for learners to engage in activities at varying levels. Additionally, students require assistance from instructors in addressing queries about the application of the principles and models related to optics. This study suggests ways in which instructors should help students at each level of activity. Additionally, the paper presents examples of varying levels of inquiry-related activities available on Algodoo. It also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of performing inquiry-based activities on Algodoo and suggests ways of enhancing the learning achieved through this platform.

Building information modeling (BIM) can help to visualize and manage the building-related information at the object-based level, and it is possible to help link the tasks in the network of Hanok construction. While many studies have significant interest in using BIM for modern construction, there is only few studies to observe the use of BIM for traditional construction, commonly called Hanok construction in South Korea. Hence, the main goal of this study is to develop a system dynamic model for investigating how the BIM can be widely used for Hanok construction. To this end, this study identified the factors influencing the BIM uses for the Hanok construction, developed a causal loop diagram (CLD) to investigate the interrelationships among the factors, and provided a final model based on the mathematical definitions. Based on the scenario analysis, it is demonstrated that the support to building Hanok and education cost for BIM positively influence activating and using the BIM for the Hanok construction. Based on the dynamics of the factors identified in this study, it is important to consider expanding support for Hanok construction and education cost for BIM to successfully integrate and utilize BIM in the construction industry.
