3D-QSAR Study on the Influence of Alrylamino (R) Substituents on Herbicidal Activity of Thiourea Analogues

  • Influences of alrylamino (R) substituents on the herbicidal activity ($pI_{50}$) of 1-(4-chloro-2-fluoro-5-propargyloxypheny)-3-(R)-thiourea analogues (1 ~ 35) against the barnyard grass (Echinochloa crusgalli) in the pre-emergence step were discussed quantitatively using comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA) and comparative molecular similarity indices analysis (CoMSIA) as the three dimensional quantitative structure-activity relationship (3D-QSAR) method. The statistically most satisfactory CoMFA models for the herbicidal activity against the barnyard grass had the better predictability ($r^2{_{cv.}}$) and correlativity ($r^2{_{ncv.}}$) than those of CoMSIA models. The optimized CoMFA model 1($r^2{_{cv.}}$ = 0.531 & $r^2{_{ncv.}}$ = 0.931) with the sensitivity to the perturbation (${d_q}^{2'}{dr^2}_{yy'}$ = 1.081) and the prediction ($q^2$ = 0.475) produced by a progressive scrambling analyses were not dependent on chance correlation. And statistical qualities with the atom based fit alignment (AF) were slightly higher than those of the field fit alignment (FF). According to the optimized CoMFA model 1, the contribution ratio (%) of the steric field (76.9%) on the herbicidal activity of the Thioureas was three-fold higher than that of the electrostatic field (20.1%) and the hydrophobic field (3.0%) had the least influence. A steric favor group is on the vicinity of the nitrogen atom in alrylamino (R) substituent, and a steric disfavor group is on the outer side of alrylamino (R) substituent. Thus, as the size of alrylamino (R) substituent increases, so does the herbicidal activity of the substituent.

  • Improvement in breakdown voltage ($BV_{ds}$) and speed of the device are the key issues among the researchers for enhancing the performance of HEMT. Increased speed of the device aspires for shortened gate length ($L_g$), but due to lithographic limitation, shortening $L_g$ below sub-micrometer requires the inclusion of various metal-insulator geometries like T-gate onto the conventional architecture. It has been observed that the speed of the device can be enhanced by minimizing the effect of upper gate electrode on device characteristics, whereas increase in the $BV_{ds}$ of the device can be achieved by considering the finite effect of the upper gate electrode. Further, improvement in $BV_{ds}$ can be obtained by applying field plates, especially at the drain side. The important parameters affecting $BV_{ds}$ and cut-off frequency ($f_T$) of the device are the length, thickness, position and shape of metal-insulator geometry. In this context, intensive simulation work with analytical analysis has been carried out to study the effect of variation in length, thickness and position of the insulator under the gate for various metal-insulator gate geometries like T-gate, $\Gamma$-gate, Step-gate etc., to anticipate superior device performance in conventional HEMT structure.

A Numerical Study of Flow Structure in Over-Expanded Rocket Nozzles

  • LE-7A is the main engine of the H-IIA launch vehicle. Under its development, the nozzle suffered from two troubles during startup and shutdown transients of the engine. One is a large side load, which damages the actuator of the nozzle, and the other is damage on regenerative cooling tubes due to high heat load. It has been considered that these problems are caused by a peculiar separation pattern called Restricted Shock Separation (RSS). RSS is observed in several rocket nozzles, for example, LE-7A nozzle, Vulcain nozzle and so on. Their contours are not conventional truncated perfect (TP) nozzle - LE-7A nozzle is a compressed truncated perfect (CTP) nozzle and Vulcain nozzle is a thrust optimized (TO) nozzle. Although it is believed that the occurrence of RSS is affected by the nozzle contour, the mechanisms are not clarified sufficiently yet. In the present paper, a parametric numerical study is carried out to investigate the mechanisms of the occurrence of RSS in CTP nozzles during startup transient. The results show that RSS is caused by the adverse pressure gradient downstream of the Mach disk. The adverse pressure gradient is caused by the interaction of the pressure wave and Mach disk. The method to avoid the occurrence of RSS is also examined. A small step inside the nozzle affects the position of the separation point and prevents RSS. The result shows that the possibility that RSS can be suppressed by controlling the position of the separation point.

  • 2001년 미국의 9, 11 항공테러 사건이후에 항공안전 및 보안에 대한 문제점이 지적되면서 이에 대한 효율적인 대책의 필요성이 논의되어왔다. 1950년대 최초 공중납치 사건이 발생한 이후 오늘날에 이르러서는 상당히 다양한 방법으로 항공범죄가 행해지고 있는 가운데 본 논문에서는 전세계 주요국가의 항공보안에 대한 법적 제도적 이슈를 중심으로 변화하는 양상을 체계적으로 정리하였다. 최근 항공테러의 양상과 이에 대한 항공보안의 법적 제도적 발전 형태를 체계적으로 고찰해보고 이에 대한 각국의 항공보안의 법적 제도적 이슈를 비교하여 우리나라에 대한 항공보안의 적용방안을 살펴보았다.

ZSphere를 활용한 캐릭터모델링 (Character modeling using ZSphere)

  • ZBrush의 ZSphere는 스크린에 추가가 가능하며, 무엇보다도 움직임이 자유로운 기하학적 오브젝트로서 ZSphere를 기존의 ZSphere에 추가할 수 있다는 점이다. 예를 들어 중간단계의 구형체에서 뽑아내어 다리 같은 것을 생성할 수 있다. 이러한 방식으로 팔다리가 여러 개인 캐릭터를 쉽게 만들어 낼 수 있는 것이다. 본 논문은 ZSphere를 사용하여 하나의 Sphere로부터 여러 개의 Child Sphere를 만들어내고, 이것이 parent sphere가 되어 이를 기준으로 Child Sphere를 연결해 나가는 형식으로 형태를 만들어 가며 3D 캐릭터 형태를 쉽고 빠르게 잡아가도록 모델링 하였다. 3D 오브젝트를 추가하고 회전시키고 움직일 수 있기에 캔퍼스의 Z-depth와 원활한 상호작용이 이루어질 수 있다. 이러한 오브젝트를 스크린에 놓거나 페인팅을 하고 고정된 퍼스펙티브 이미지를 구축하고 Pixols을 스머지하며 3D오브젝트를 변형시키기 위하여 다양한 변형툴과 조각툴을 사용하였다. 완성된 character를 poly로 변환한 다음 Topology를 이용해 빠르게 면을 재구성 하는 방법으로 캐릭터를 설계하였다.

바이코히어런스 분석 기법을 이용한 마취 단계별 뇌파의 특성 분석 (EEG Signal Characteristic Analysis for Monitoring of Anesthesia Depth Using Bicoherence Analysis Method)

  • Although reachers have studied for a long time, they don't make criteria for anesthesia depth. anesthetists can't make a prediction about patient's reaction. Therefor, patients have potential risk such as poisonous side effect late-awake, early-awake and strain reaction. EEG are received from twenty-five patients who agreed to investigate themselves during operation with Enflurane-anesthesis in progress of anesthesia. EEG are divided pre-anesthesia, before incision of skin, operation 1, operation 2, awaking, post-anesthesia by anesthesia progress step. EEG is applied pre-processing, base line correct, linear detrend to get more reliable data. EEG data are handled by electronic processing and the EEG data are calculated by bicoherence. During pre-anesthesia and post anesthesia, appearance rate of bicoherence value is observed strong appearance rate in high frequency range($15\~30Hz$). During the anesthesia of patient, a strong appearance rate is revealed the low frequency area(0~10Hz). After bicoherence is calculated by percentage of a appearance rate, that is, Bicpara$\#$1, Bicpara$\#$2, Bicpara$\#$3 and Bicpara$\#$4 parameter are extracted. In result of bicoherence analysis, Bicpara$\#$2 and Bicpara#4 are considered that the best parameter showed progress of anesthesia effectively. And each separated bicoherence are calculated by average bicoherence's numerical value, divide by 2 area, appear by each BicHz$\#$1, BicHz$\#$2, and observed BicHz$\#$1/BicHz$\#$2's change. In result of bicoherence analysis, BicHz$\#$1, BicHz$\#$2 and BicHz$\#$1/BicHz$\#$2 are considered that the best parameter showed progress of anesthesia effectively. In conclusion, I confirmed the anesthesia progress phase, concluded to usefulness of parameter on bispectrum and bicoherence analysis and evaluated the depth of anesthesia. In the future, it is going to use for doctor's diagnosis and apply to protect an medical accident owing to anesthesia.

  • 본 논문에서는 대기압 플라즈마 발생용 정현파펄스형 교류 전원 장치에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 정현파펄스형 전원장치는 기존의 LC공진을 이용한 교류 전원장치보다 높은 dv/dt를 갖게 되므로 안정적인 플라즈마 공급이 가능하며 펄스형에 비해 고조파 노이즈가 적고, 정전류 턴온-영전압 턴오프 형태로 동작하므로 매우 높은 효율을 갖는다. 또한 플라즈마 점화 기능을 강화하고 안정적인 전압제어를 위해 3상 부스트형 컨버터를 입력단에 사용하여 입력 역률이 매우 높은 시스템을 구성할 수 있다. 실험실 수준의 10kW부하시설을 사용하여 본 연구의 결과를 입증하였다.

산업용 선형가속기 시스템 적용을 위한 30-MW 클라이스트론용 고 평균전력 펄스 트랜스포머의 설계 (Design of High Average Power Pulse Transformer for 30-MW Klystron of L-Band Linac Application)

  • An L-band linear accelerator system for e-beam sterilization is under design for bio-technology application. The klystron-modulator system as RF microwave source has an important role as major components to offer the system reliability for long time steady state operation. A PFN line type pulse generator with a peak power of 71.5-MW, $7{\mu}s$, 285 pps is required to drive a high-power klystron. The high power pulse transformer has a function of transferring pulse energy from a pulsed power source to a high power load. The pulse transformer producing a pulse with a peak voltage of 275 kV is required to produce 30-MW peak and 60 kW average RF output power at the frequency of 1.3-GHz. We have designed the high power pulse transformer with 1:13 step-up ratio. The peak and average power capability is 71.5-MW (275 kV, 260 A at load side with $7{\mu}s$ pulse width) and 130 kW, respectively. In this paper, we present a system overview and initial design results of the high power pulse transformer.

  • We present the design and fabrication prcoess of a two-axis tilting micromirror device driven by the electrostatic vertical comb actuator. A high aspect-ratio comb actuator is fabricated by multiple DRIE process in order to achieve large scan angle. The proposed fabrication process enables a mirror to be fabricated on the wafer-scale. By bonding a double-side polished (DSP) wafer and a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) wafer together, all actuators on the wafer are completely hidden under the reflectors. Nickel lines are embedded on a Pyrex wafer for the electrical access to numerous electrodes of mirrors. An anodic bonding step is implemented to contact electrical lines with ail electrodes on the wafer at a time. The mechanical angle of a fabricated mirror has been measured to be 1.9 degree and 1.6 degree, respectively, in the two orthogonal axes under driving voltages of 100 V. Also, a $8{\times}8$ array of micromirrors with high fill-factor of 70 % is fabricated by the same fabrication process.

  • 기존 서버에서 담당하던 접근제어를 서버에 비해 제약을 갖는 클라이언트에서 처리하고자 하는 요구가 생겨남에 따라 자원 제약을 갖는 환경에서 효율적이고 안전하게 실의를 처리할 수 있는 방법이 필요하게 되었다. 기존의 접근제어 연구는 안전성에 초점을 맞추어 왔기 때문에 효율성 측면에 대한 고려가 적었으며, 최근 스트림 환경에서 보안 문제가 대두되면서 접근제어를 포함한 보안 측면의 연구가 시작되었다. 본 논문은 XML 데이터 스트립을 PDA나 휴대용 단말기와 같은 자원의 제약이 있는 클라이언트에서 안전하고 효율적으로 다루기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 본 연구는 유효한 XML 스트림 환경에서 첫째로 한정된 메모리 내에서 안전한 결과를 내기 위해 오버 헤드가 매우 적은 접근제어 처리 방법을 제안하고 있으며, 둘째로 접근제어 추가로 인한 오버헤드를 상쇄시키기 위해 처리 단계 마다 최적화가 가능한 부분들을 찾아 성능을 개선하는 방법을 제안한다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 방법의 우수성을 분석한다.
