  • This study examines the level of consumer knowledge regarding the concept and characteristics of the sharing economy along with the role of the three economic players in the sharing economy. This study develops scales for measuring a consumer's knowledge level and the knowledge level using these scales as well as analyzes the impact of knowledge levels, socio-demographic variables, social capital, and knowledge sharing on participation in the sharing economy. The scales measuring the level of knowledge in the sharing economy were composed of 22 questions for the concept, 30 questions for the characteristics, and 15 questions for the role of the economic parties. Consumer's knowledge level regarding the concept and characteristics of the sharing economy and the role of the economic players was very low. In particular, the knowledge on the concept was insufficient. Women's knowledge on the sharing economy showed higher scores than men. Consumers with higher scores in social capital and knowledge sharing showed higher scores of the knowledge level on the sharing economy than those behind in these two variables. A higher knowledge level of the sharing economy resulted in higher participation in the sharing economy. Issues and directions for future studies on the sharing economy were proposed.

  • Let f be a nonconstant meromorphic function of hyper-order strictly less than 1, and let c ∈ ℂ \ {0} such that f(z + c) ≢ f(z). We prove that if f and its exact difference ∆cf(z) = f(z + c) - f(z) share partially 0, ∞ CM and share 1 IM, then ∆cf = f, where all 1-points with multiplicities more than 2 do not need to be counted. Some similar uniqueness results for such meromorphic functions partially sharing targets with weight and their shifts are also given. Our results generalize and improve the recent important results.

  • Horizontal cooperation is seen as an effective way to raise a competitive advantage in logistics and transportation. However, there are many logistics enterprises still operating individually instead of cooperating. This research aims to investigate the factors influencing the decision of horizontal cooperation by surveying a large sample of Vietnamese logistics companies. This study employs 161 logistics companies to examine correlations between potential factors and horizontal collaboration. The structural equation model (SEM) was used to test the conceptual model and the relationships among variables. The findings revealed that information sharing was the most important predictor of 161 supply chain providers' horizontal collaboration decisions, which resulted in increased profitability or service quality. Besides, trust in partners was found to be positively related to the degree of horizontal cooperation among logistics companies. Finally, the finding of this research is that reputation had a positive effect on the strategy of horizontal cooperation. Our findings suggest that SME managers should be concerened about their information sharing, their reputation as well as their trust in partners if they would be invited in cooperation with another firm to increase service quality, performance, and competitive advantage.

This study investigates consumer sharing economy usage attitudes and usage intentions by applying rational choice theory. For this study, an investigation that had 400 adult consumers from across Korea answer a structured questionnaire was conducted. A statistical approach using SPSS ver. 22.0 was used to analyze the data. The study found that the consumer's sharing economy value and participation levels were higher than usual. Higher than usual consumption patterns were seen for the construct of rational behavior theory. An analysis of the relative influence of variables regarding sharing economy usage intention also found that usage intention was higher for those who had experienced using a sharing economy services rather than those who did not have experience. In addition, the sharing economy usage intention also increased along with the values for subjective norms, sharing economy usage attitudes, sharing economy participation, sharing economy emotional benefits, and increased values. This study found that fundamental materials for consumer education should be made to eliminate difficulties that consumers have when they use sharing economy services. It is also expected that economic policy will develop to stimulate the sharing economy in a stable manner, that sharing economy-related information will be provided to consumers, and that consumer policies will be prepared to prevent consumer problems before they occur.

  • This study aims to understand the determinants and effects of SNS photo sharing on festival satisfaction among teenage festivalgoers, to derive strategies that festival organizers could employ to maintain long-term relationships with their audience. In this paper, we followed the festival attribute and SNS photo sharing behavior approaches for developing measurement constructs, by investigating previous related studies. Statistical analyses revealed that festival attributes positively impact consumer perceptions of festival value, which in turn influences SNS photo sharing behavior and festival satisfaction. In addition, SNS photo sharing behavior has a significant mediation effect on the process. Moreover, the differing intensities of SNS usage among the festivalgoers resulted in consumers presenting significantly different SNS photo sharing behavior. Our findings offer insights for marketers in the festival business who are interested in gaining a better understanding of the behavior of teenage festivalgoers.

  • The "sharing economy" describes a type of business built on the sharing of resources - allowing customers to access goods when needed. While sharing goods has always been a common practice among friends, family, and neighbors, in recent years, the concept of sharing has moved from a community practice into a profitable business model. This study explores gaps between customers' actual usages and current policies on accommodation sharing by analyzing what needs to be done for the better establishment of sharing economy in society. The purpose of this study is to investigate perceptions of accommodation sharing by analyzing reviews and negative aspects that help resolve complaints and improve better services through policy establishment. This study investigates key attributes that influence business performance to improve citizens' decision-making for the usage of accommodation sharing. This study applies qualitative research by collecting demand- and supply-side reviews from selected registered accommodations using a random sampling procedure. This study finds that guests prefer entire house sharing with instrumental attributes related to properties. Entire house sharing of multiple dwellings shows business impacts in terms of high occupancy rate on the platform, while there are policy concerns with entire house sharing. The results provide policy and managerial implications by suggesting proper policies and considering relationships with citizens.
