  • Services system which has been emerging as a new way of application development utilizes services as fundamental units for developing a system. Services system can offer services within web environment as well as the ubiquitous environment where mobile devices are connected to wired or wireless network. In order to provide the functionality that meets users' requirements, the most appropriate service should be selected among candidate services by taking requests and context information into account. Therefore, it is important that the service system should provide services to users by dynamically adapting to users' requirements and context information. Since different users request same functionality with different context information, one service can be differently offered to users so that variability can happen to the service systems. Most researches on context-aware systems have a tendency to solve dynamic adaptation by using more or less ad hoc manner In this paper, we consider various types of services which are performed according to context information as variability and propose adaptable architecture by applying concepts of product line architecture in order to deal with variabilities systematically.

A Study on the Online Service of Oral History Archives (구술기록의 온라인 서비스 수립방안 연구)

  • This article intends to establish a online service of oral history archives. Unlike common records, it is important to understand the contextual relation of oral history archives. The context of oral history archives can include the context of oral history contents in addition to the connection with records produced in the process of performing work function of agency which performs collecting oral history archives, and the connection between oral history archives formed in the process of collecting oral history archives. Therefore this article emphasizes that the context of oral history archives has an important role and function in on-line service of oral history archives by researching the plan for on-line service of oral history archives based on the context of oral history archives.

  • Since 2010 December, the Gyeongchun line can provide better service than the other modes in respect of cost & time efficiency by operating electric double track from Sangbong station to Chuncheon station. However customers living in the Northern part of capital area, which there are stations of line No.1, have inconvenience to transfering twice to access Gyeongchun line. To minimize inconvenience, this study has analyzed the demand variation of Geongchun line upon changing the terminal of some trains on Gyeongchun line which reduces the number of transfer. In this study, the demand variation has been estimated by the direct demand model considering only saving time between O/D. So some additional modifications are required, because the effect of fare and accession convenience has not been considered.

  • There are lots of examples for naming railway lines and stations in Korea. In general, we can specify some type of principles for making names at the railway lines. The first, rail line name made some decision considering the origin and destination name of city or region. The second type of a decision making is the location or service areas of that railway line or station. And other one is about the destination city or region of that corridor line. In this paper, we classified the name of the railway line according to above three types of decision principles, and then suggested the guideline and future directions preventing any confusion to make a new railway line name afterwards.

  • This paper is interested in analyzing the CSFs of 3 different kinds of on-line digital products. They are on-line digital products of (1) transaction, (2) relations, and (3) interests. This study first tried to define the on-line digital products based in the above three categories and then to find the factors that might effect the customer acceptability in each product groups. Independent variables used in this study are characters of products, characters of users, and system environments. This paper that on-line survey has been conducted for the study's specialty and the collected resource was analyzed by using the SPSS 10.0K statistics package. Using multiple regression, this study finds that major factors effecting the user acceptability of each group are different from one another. For example, system environment variables such as speediness, system performance effects the customer acceptability of digital products of Interest(game, avartar, etc). Much more then that of products of relations(information service, etc). Therefore empirical findings are suggested in the conclusion.

  • This paper proposes a transmission algorithm that optimizes transmission power and sub-channel allocation to maximize energy efficiency considering characteristics of the channel impedance of power lines in power line communication systems. Since the received power at the receiver is influenced by the characteristics of the power line channel, it is necessary to consider channel characteristics when developing a transmission strategy in a power line communication systems. In addition, the energy efficiency should be optimized while meeting the practical constraints, such as the maximum transmission power limit of the transmitter and minimum quality of service for each user. In the computer simulation, we confirm that the energy efficiency of the proposed algorithm is improved compared to baseline schemes.

Buyer's Evaluation and Emotional Experience Analysis on Digital Products by Using the Content Analysis of On-line Reviews (온라인 사용후기 내용분석을 통한 디지털 제품에 대한 구매자의 평가와 감성체험 분석)

  • This study intends to provide foundational data for enhancing the welfare of customers purchasing digital products through analyzing the notes from written on-line reviews. The data used for the analysis are 6,342 on-line reviews for cell phones and digital cameras released from November, 2007 until April, 2008, which was posted on Naver Knowledge Shopping from November, 2007 until June, 2008. Through the on-line reviews, this article analyzed the evaluations on the digital products' hardware, software, design, service, price, and other criteria and the customers' emotional experience in the process of purchase, use, and possession. According to the results of the analysis, negative evaluation and emotional experience were originated from the company's information provision methods and purchase process. In addition, insufficient information searches in the process of online purchases, consumers' low right consciousness, and impolite on-line reviews were also problematic. Customers' evaluations and emotional experiences on digital products were conducted in a complex way. Based on that, this research makes suggestions in the company's marketing, customer education, and theoretical aspect.

A Column Generation Approach to Line Planning in Rail Freight Transportation (화물열차 노선계획 작성을 위한 열 생성 기반 최적화 모형 연구)

  • Line planning is to determine the frequency of trains on each line to satisfy origin-destination demand while minimizing total operation cost. However, different from the line planning in passenger transportation, it is more important at which intermediate stations each train should be stopped and shunted because the freight car handling works like drop-off or(and) pick-up can incur much time and high cost so that the delay deteriorates the quality of rail freight transportation service. We present an optimization model for constructing line plan in rail freight transportation to simultaneously minimize the train operation cost and total transportation time of freights. And we suggest a column generation approach for our problem, which can solve the real network instances in reasonable computation times.

  • Interests on Service Level Agreement(SLA), an immanence operating tool for managing the level of the information system service objectively and qualitatively, were raised among IT outsourcing service providers, outsourcers, and operating departments. Yet, only a few domestic conglomerates adopted the SLA, and exact usage of the SLA is currently unknown. Because of the importance of the SLA between a service recipient and a service provider, the agreement is treated with high confidentiality. This raised the problems to organizations which are considering the SLA but lack in the concrete guide line to internalize SLA management process. This study provides the process model of implementation for SLA by conducting multiple case research. The sampled companies are currently implementing the SLA over 1 year of usage period. Factors were used to provide the managerial contribution for implementing the SLA. To analyse the case samples, in-depth interview method was conducted for each sampled company. As a result, if SLA can be used as an immanence managerial tool and can be actively implemented, it will be an strategic tool for various decision making in IT management practice with long term relationship, better shared partnership, and continuous service improvement.

A Study on Relationships between Perceived Services and Satisfaction of SaaS(Software as a Service) (SaaS(Software as a Service)의 서비스 인지 및 만족도간의 상호관계성에 관한 연구)

  • SaaS (Software as a Service) provides software in the form of service via internet rather than software package. Thus a large number of users could use the service of new type of software service as long as they connect to internet. SaaS, as a delivery model attracted in the software industry, grows with impelling force. SaaS has been adopted as an information spreading strategy of small and medium corporate so that its effect has been recognized in both academic and practical areas. However, there are not much researches about it because SaaS is still in the introductory stage. This study focused on the success model of SaaS to find out the factors that affect usability and the satisfaction of users. The sample is based on the on-line survey for the 549 government officials who are using SaaS. At last, the number of the employed answers are 157 after unqualified ones are removed. The result shows that Security, Service quality, Price and System Integration significantly affect the usefulness and the satisfactions of users.
