Determinants Influencing Labor Union Commitment of Hospital Employees (병원직원의 노동조합몰입에 영향을 미치는 결정요인분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide basic materials needed to enhance quality of organizational life by identifying the improvements of labor union management in the perspective of general hospital organization management. The subjects of this study were 428 employees in 8 Hospitals in Metro Capital including Seoul. Materials were collected from administrators, nurses and medical technicians in target hospitals from November 10 to November 30, 2006 through survey questionnaires. The main results of this study were as follows: 1. The commitment level of the subjects according to their characteristics was higher in older employees than the younger ones, large family to support than small family to support and those who had higher positions in labor union. 2. The commitment level of the subjects according to the Job and role related variables were higher those who had higher satisfaction level to their job, role conflict in all hospitals. 3. The commitment level of the subjects according to union related variables, variables jointly controlled by union and employer was statistically significant positive correlation. 4. The results of multiple regression analysis shows that formal and informal socialization, satisfaction with the labor union's were all found as important antecedents of labor union commitment. 5. The results of AMOS shows that structure characteristics of hospital, Job and manager satisfaction, socialization were statistically significant labor union satisfaction. The satisfaction level of labor union was statistically significant labor union commitment To summarize study results, the level of commitment in labor union depends on job satisfaction, managers' attitudes, union satisfaction factors, their colleagues attitudes toward union. Therefore hospital managers should have democratic and flexible attitudes toward labor union. Additionally, as formal and informal socialization is important determinant in union commitment, hospital managers should have countermeasures to enhance the colleague attitude and job satisfaction level of hospital employees. Moreover, as managerial factors of the principal of hospital influence union commitment directly, the attitudes of hospital managers toward union and transparency of hospital management should be improved.

A Empirical Study on Influence of Safety on Elementary School Road Considering Commuting Distance & Mode Type (통학거리 및 수단특성을 반영한 초등학교 안전도 영향관계 실증연구)

  • This study deals with actual commuting distance and influence of risk factors depending on commuting distance and mode in order to reestablish actual commuting zone of primary school students. Data mining analysis(CHAID) was applied for this reestablishment using survey results from 6,927 primary school students in Seoul Metro. Six risk factors; convenience level of commuting path condition, convenience level of road crossing condition, vehicle speed on commuting path, segregation level between commuter and vehicle, congestion level of commuting path, and public security level and two mode; walking and cycle are considered in the analysis. As the results of CHAID analysis, commuting distance was divided into four zones; Internal Zone(0.491km under), External Zone(0.492 ~ 1.492km, 1.493 ~ 2.699km), Commutable Zone(2.70km over), and awareness level on safety is declined as commuting distance is increased. The risk factor affecting on safety is recognized differently by students depending on commuting distance and mode. For students commuting by walking, vehicle speed on commuting path and convenience level of commuting path condition are recognized as the prime risk factor within Internal Zone and Commutable Zone, respectively. For students commuting by cycle, convenience level of road crossing condition and vehicle speed on commuting path are recognized as the prime risk factor within Commutable Zone. Analysis results show that improved plan and program for commuting path for primary school students are required considering actual commuting distance and method.

A Comparative Study of the Stress Level between Military Wives and Civilian Wies (군인부인과 일반부인의 스트레스 비교)

  • Housewife plays a significant role in maintaining a health family life. If she can not function adequately due to high stress, it will affect quality of life of the household members. It also interferes with the normal process of family development. Futhermore, dysfunctional family will have effects on morale of the servicemen in military. This is a descriptive study. The main purpose of this study is to compare the level and types of stress between a group of military wives and a group of civilian wives and provide a data which can be used to develop a stress management program. Sample consist with 250 military wives and 250 civilian wives residing in metro Seoul area. Data collection was done during October 4, 1994-November 30, 1994. Stress was measured with the instrument developed by the researcher. The cronbach's ${\alpha}$ score of the instrument was .91. The data was analyzed by using SPSS-PC. The results of this study are : 1. The stress score was 47.09 for military wives, 36.56 for civilian wives. The range of score was 0-192. The stress level of military wives was greater than civilian wives. (t=4.80, P<.000) 2. The rank order of stressors of military wives were 1) move 2) residential environment 3) purchase of house 4) holidays. The rank order of stressors of civilian wives were 1) husband late return after work 2) arguments with husband 3) holidays 4) husband's drinking problem. The result shows that the main stressors of military wives are frequent moves, residential environment, uncertainty of the future, unsafe work environment of husband, and the lack of private life which are all associated with the military. Therefore, it is urgently needed to distribute this facts through military journal to understand the characteristic of the stress of military wives, and to develope appropriate health care program to lessen the stress.

A Study on Office Rental Cycle and Time-Varying Regression Parameters of Rental Determinants in Hedonic Price Model (오피스 임대료 하락기 및 상승기의 임대료 결정모형 회귀모수의 변화 - 서울시 강남과 도심권역을 중심으로 -)

  • This paper empirically investigates time-varying regression parameter of hedonic price model for Seoul office rental market in distinct periods of a market cycle. Office rental index is constructed and the index indicates that the global financial crisis differentiates the analysis period into decline stage and recovery stage. Pre-crisis period is classified into decline stage and post-crisis is classified into recovery stage. Structural break-point test suggests structural change of hedonic model of rent determinants occurred in 2008. Evidence indicates that individual regression parameters of hedonic price model for decline stage are significantly different from those for recovery stage. Changes in the regression parameters of land price, distance to metro, building size, building age, and conversion rate are consistent. In recovery stage, the effect of locational advantage on office rent decreases whereas the effect of building characteristics on the rent increases.

  • This study is objected by presenting preliminary data to revise the periodic replacement criteria of continuous welded rail (CWR) in using. In this study, it is investigated information resources for foreign standards, the cause and types of damage in welded rails and the track maintenance history of Seoul metro to analysis the correlation between rail failure and accumulated passing tonnage. Also, it is performed bending test for the laid welded rail reaching the periodic replacement criteria. In result, the correlation between rail failure and accumulated passing tonnage is not obvious and it is a lot of cases for the construction error of welded rail. Also, as a result of bending test of laid welded rail, according to reducing about $17{\sim}18%$ the bending fracture strength of rail, the laid welded rail reaching the periodic replacement criteria is well enough ensured for the load carrying capacity of rail.

  • When the fire occur in the deeply underground subway station, the difficulties of passenger evacuation are expected because of many stairs to the exit. In this study, SOONGSIL-University station (7 line, 47m depth) is the one of the deepest subway stations of the each line in the Seoul metro. The numerical computational-simulation was performed for the fire driven flow in the subway station. Hot and smoke flow was analyzed from the simulation results. The proper plan of evacuation against fire was considered through the results. The fire driven flow was simulated using FDS code in which LES method was applied. The Heat Release Rate was 10MW and the ultrafast model was applied for the growing model of the fire source. The proper mesh size was determined from the characteristic length of fire size. The parallel computational method was employed to compute the flow and heat eqn's in the meshes, which are about 10,000,000, with 6cpu of the linux clustering machine.

  • Lately, Seoul metro is changing transformation facilities which have been operated in subway line 1 and 2 for a long duration of time. Although the exiting protection relays in DC feeder system have such several functions as 76I, 50, 85, and 64P, the new protective relay have a great variety of functions such as 76I, 76D, DDL-I, DDL-T(Imin), 85, and 64P, as well as record and save various events and accident wave in order to review and analyze the working causes of the protective system. However, because the new digital relays are not used properly for protective propose, there are the cases that the electric accident is deteriorated more. Therefore, in this paper, we will describe that making the use studying installation intention, direction, and setting up value of the protection relay in DC breaker operation not only prevents from making the electric accident worse but also shows the efficient operation method of direct current protection system.

Consumer's Recognitions on Style Identity of the Contemporary Korean Woman's Apparel Brands (국내 캐릭터 커리어 여성복 브랜드의 스타일 정체성에 대한 소비자 인식 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to figure out consumer's recognition on brand's peculiar style on Korean contemporary women's apparel brand. The contemporary women's apparel brands show advanced and stylish merchandise at better price points. This segment of the Korean ready-to-wear market has been growing fast in last decades. Four contemporary women's apparel brands(I, K, M, and T) were participated in this study. The data(n=216) were collected with questionnaire survey at 24 apparel retail shops in metro Seoul area. The questionnaire measured the consumers' recognition on each brand's peculiar style. The subjects evaluated each brand's typical silhouette, materials, and style image. The results of the survey showed that the style image factors were 'stylish', 'simple', 'casual', 'feminine', and 'classic'. The style image of each brand was differentiated from others. The brand T had classic image, the brand K had simple and casual image, brand M had stylistic image, and the brand I had feminine image. The features of materials that used at the four brands were not very different by the brands. They used the high valued materials. The common features of the materials were 'smooth', 'thin' and 'light weight.'

The Technical Suggestion for Implementing Animated PSD Ads : Focused on Seoul Metro Line2 (동적 PSD광고 구현을 위한 기술적 제안 : 수도권 지하철 2호선을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this research is to propose a new method of PSD(Platform Screen Door) ads using animated image for efficiency, based on the theoretical background that moving objects have a stronger visual attractiveness effect than static objects. For this, we analyze the relationship between the screen door and the train, then derive the positional and visual elements which help to create efficient animated images. Based on this analysis, we made an example and applied into 3D program to confirm the implementation process of the animated PSD ads. As the result, the research shows that it is possible to produce a new type of PSD ads that can show dynamic visual effects and can give diversity to the PSD advertising media through the combination of the images using time difference.

A Study on Correlation between Compressive Strength and Rebound Hardness of Urban Underground Structures (도시철도 지하구조물 압축강도와 반발경도의 상관관계에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the correlation between concrete core compressive strength and rebound hardness of urban railway underground structures was analyzed. The equations for the range of rebound hardness were derived and compared with the measured concrete core strengths for each range of rebound hardness to confirm the adequacy of the estimated compressive strength. As the result, the linear regression analysis results of the average compressive strength by the Gaussian probability density function (representative compressive strength estimation formula) and the estimation formula by the rebound hardness range were founded to match well within 3% of the experimental concrete core compressive strength test results. Therefore, the stochastic statistical analysis using the rebound hardness measurement results suggested in this study could be help to secure the confidence level of the correlation between the rebound hardness and the concrete compressive strength which are relatively large deviation according to the estimation equations.
