Dystrophic calcinosis cutis associated with spontaneous hyperadrenocorticism was diagnosed in a 8-year-old female Chihuahua dog with erythematous, erosive, numerous papules, plaques, and crusts on the bilateral trunk, and inguinal region. Serum biochemical abnormalities included increases in alkaline phosphatase (ALP), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT), and cholesterol. Radiographs showed mild hepatomegaly and subcutaneous lobulated calcific deposits. Histopathologic examination demonstrated diffuse deposition of basophilic calcified material in the dermis. Von Kossa's stain confirmed calcium deposition. Therapy with diltiazem was useful in resolving calcinosis.

Astragalus membranaceus has a long history of medicinal use in Chinese herbal medicine. It has been shown to have immunostimulant, tonic, antioxidant, antiperspirant, diuretic, anti-diabetic, expectorant properties, and a supplementary medicine during cancer therapy. In this study, we investigated the effect of anti-oxidation of Astragalus membranaceus root extract. The anti-oxidative activities of water, 80% methanol, and 100% methanol extracts from Astragalus membranaceus were analyzed by DPPH free radical scavenging activity, Superoxide dismutase-like activity, reducing power, and crude ash. The water extract demonstrated to be more effective than methanol extract for a DPPH radicals scavenging activities and reducing power. Superoxide dismutase-like activity showed higher efficiency in 80% methanol extract. Our results indicate that Astragalus membranaceus extracts could be used as a source of antioxidant ingredients in the food industry.

The association of congenital colonic atresia with imperforate anus is extremely rare. There are only three cases reported in the English literatures. The authors have recently managed one case in female infant.

현재 우리나라에서 해상 수송은 무역 수 출입의 90%이상을 담당하고 있으며, 지정학적인 측면에서도 많은 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 해상에서의 교통시스템 기능이 안정적으로 유지되고, 더욱 발전되기 위해서 무엇보다 연안 해역에서의 선박 교통에 대한 정확한 이해가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 선박별 항적과 같은 선박 교통의 자료들을 기초로 하여, 우리나라의 각 수역별로 선박 흐름을 재현해 보는 연구를 수행하였다. 구체적으로 선박종류 항로특성 실제교통량 등을 해상 교통의 구성요소별로 분류하고, 자동피항 기능을 포함한 다수 선박간의 흐름을 재현하는 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램은 목포항의 선박교통 자료를 기본으로 시뮬레이션을 실시하여 검증하였다. 또한 개발된 모델을 수역의 교통안전성 예측, 항로내 시설물 설치시 적정성 문제 등에 적용가능한 지를 고려하였다.

A high-voltage generator is used to program the anti-fuse of the semiconductor chip. A new high-voltage generator consists of PN diodes and new stack type capacitors. An oscillator supply pulses to the high-voltage generator. The pulse period of the oscillator is delayed by controlling gate-voltage of the MOS. The pulse period is about 27ns, therefore the pulse frequency is about 37MHz. The threshold voltage of PN diode is about 0.8V. The capacitance of new stack type capacitor is about 4pF. The output voltage of the new high-voltage generator is about 7.9V and its current capacity is about $488{\mu}$A.

Malignant gastrointestinal neuroectodermal tumor (GNET) is a very rare disease entity, especially in the esophagus. The diagnosis of GNET is based on histologic, immunohistochemical, and genetic findings. The choice of treatment is complete resection, and further treatment options can be considered. H erein, we describe a case of successful surgical treatment of a 23-year-old man with recurrent malignant esophageal GNET.

본 논문은 RFID 등에 위치정보를 식별할 수 있는 정확한 위치정보 식별자를 적용할 것을 제안한다. 그리하여 리더 단말기를 이용하여 더 정확히 찾고자 하는 위치의 정보를 알 수 있도록 도와주는 시스템을 설계한다. 이것은 기존의 CPS 및 무선 네트워크를 사용할 때 발생할 수 있는 부정확한 위치정보의 문제점을 해결하고, 태그를 통해 즉각적인 위치정보의 획득이 가능해 짐으로서 현재 이동통신사에서 제공하고 있는 위치정보에 대한 비용을 절감하는 효과가 있으며 사용자가 더 정확히 찾고자 하는 대상을 조회하도록 도와준다.

본 연구는 2001년 12월부터 2004년 12월까지 정부지원으로 유니슨(주)가 개발을 주관하고 포항공과대학교 및 국내 관련 기업이 참여한 콘소시엄에서 개발한 750kW Gearless형 풍력발전시스템의 국산화 개발에 관한 연구결과로서 풍력발전 시스템의 하중평가, 구성요소품의 설계 결과와 블레이드, 발전기 및 전력변환장치 등 개발요소품의 성능시험결과와 국제 설계인증 추진 및 시제품 제작에 대한 내용을 포함하고 있다.
