자주포 궤도 너트에 미치는 우발적 수소취성 현상의 영향 (Analysis of the Accidental Hydrogen Embrittlement Affecting the Track Nut of Self-Propelled Howitzer)

  • In this study, we analyzed the accidental hydrogen embrittlement affecting the track nut on a self-propelled howitzer. Tracks are key components to maintain a high degree of confidence in the operation of the self-propelled howitzer and the safety of the crew. This study analyzed the fractured surface using SEM to review accidental damage of the wedge nut. In addition, we conducted revival tests and analyzed the results to identify the cause of the wedge nut damage from hydrogen embrittlement. We should carry out factor analysis and continuous improvement of the manufacturing process to determine the accidental breakage mechanism for future enhancement of the self-propelled howitzer. This study will be the useful reference for enhancing process designs in similar products.

  • This study investigates improvement of torsional strength of special wrench for K-series self-propelled howitzer power-pack maintenance. In order to maintain the power-pack, special wrench is one of the essential tools for assembling/disassemblimg the engine and transmission. However, failures(plastic deformation, fracture phenomenon and etc.) have been frequently reported even though special wrench was used within recommended standard torque range. Therefore, in this study, finite element analysis using ABAQUS was performed and modification of design parameters have been proposed. Prototypes based on the proposed parameters were manufactured and torsional experiment(torque about 130 % of recommend maximum torque) validated the newly proposed design parameters. Special wrench based on this study is applied to mass production and currently used for the maintenance.

  • Even though K-series combat equipment's engine depot maintenance cycle of ROK army is 10years In average, that of the K-9 Self Propelled(SP) howitzer which has been fielded since 99 $3{\sim}4$years causing limitations to effective equipment operations and combat-readiness. Therefore, the current K-9 self-propelled howitzer engine operation period of 1,500 hours, which is greatly shorter than other equipments, had to be verified. In order to find the optimum depot maintenance cycle, related field operation conditions were verified and opinions were collected, and also the background on current depot maintenance cycle setting was studied.

사격통제장치 시스템 시험의 신뢰성 향상을 위한 생산시험장비에 관한 연구 (The Study on The Production Testing Equipment for the Improvement of System Test Reliability in FCS)

  • 본 연구는 한화탈레스에서 2011년부터 K-55A1 개량사업 중 사격통제장치(통신제어기, 전시통제기, 제원표시기, 전원공급기, 축전지)의 양산 생산에서 장비의 신뢰성을 향상하기 위해 제품의 입고 시점부터 유닛시험(회로카드 및 유닛 단위), 번인시험(초기고장배제), 통합 시스템 시험(장비 연동단위)의 각 단계별 생산시험장비개발에 대한 설계 방안을 기술하였다. K-55A1의 사격통제장치는 자주포를 제어하는 '머리'의 역할을 하며, 자주포의 여러 장치들(항법장치, 포구초속측정기 등)과 전기적, 물리적 연결을 한다. K-55A1 사격통제장치가 전력화되어 운용 시 한치의 오차 없이 정상 동작하기 위해서는 입고부터 출고 전까지 각 단계에 맞는 시험장비가 필요하다. 생산시험 장비이기에 시험의 절차를 최대한 자동적으로 운용할 수 있도록 구현하였을 뿐만 아니라 자주포와 연동 가능한 환경으로 구축할 수 있도록 생산시험장비 설계초기부터 초점을 맞추었다. 이러한 생산시험장비 개발을 통하여 K-55A1 사격통제장치가 전력화되어 운용 시 최상의 성능을 구동하여 대한민국 국방력을 강화하는데 일조 할 것이다.

자주포 로드암 동하중의 상당 정하중으로의 변환 및 형상최적설계 (Transformation of a Dynamic Load into an Equivalent Static Load and Shape Optimization of the Road Arm in Self-Propelled Howitzer)

  • Generally, dynamic loads are applied to real structures. Since the analysis with the dynamic load is extremely difficult, static loads are utilized by proper conversions of the dynamic loads. The dynamic loads are usually converted ot static loads by safety foactors of experiences. However, it may increase weight and decrease reliability. In this study, a method is proposed for the conversion process. An equivalent static load is calculated ot generate a same maximum displacement. The method is verified through numerical tests on a spring-mass systems of one and multi degrees-of freedom. It has been found that the duration time of the loads and the natural frequencies of the structures are critical in the conversion process. A road arem is a self-propelled howizer is selected for the application of the proposed method. The shape of the road arm is optimized under the converted static loads.

  • A Technical Manual is the tool that offers a guidance to a maintenance engineer in order to exactly use and maintain of complicated weapon system. Because the modern weapon system are complex and functionality integrated, its quantity is massive. So We spend a lot of money on its publication and suspending recent information. To solve this problem, to reduce a risk of loss and use easily, this study develops the IETM(Interactive Electronic technical manual) which observes the CALS standard. This paper provide the development concept, environment, technic of IETM.

추진장약 수락시험의 적정 점검탄 분석 연구 (An Analysis Study of the Proper Quantity of Conditioning Rounds at the Acceptance Test of the Propelling Charge)

  • In this paper, the proper quantity of conditioning rounds has been studied using the statistical analysis on the basis of the acceptance test data of K676 and K677 propelling charge for K9 self propelled howitzer. In general, the muzzle velocity of the initial rounds tends to be a little lower than that of the succeeding rounds. The latter rounds are likely to have the constant velocities after firing the appropriate conditioning rounds. The main cause of velocity difference was proved to be the proper quantity of conditioning rounds by doing the correlation analysis among the initial tube temperature, the tube life and the quantity of conditioning rounds. The result of paired t-test shows that two rounds of conditioning projectiles are proved to be enough to maintain the constant velocity in the case of the acceptance test of K676 and K677 propelling charge.

추진장약 수락시험의 시험단계 통합 연구 (An Integration Study of the Firing Test Stage at the Acceptance Test for the Propelling Charge)

  • In this paper, the integration of the firing test stages at the acceptance test of the propelling charge has been studied using statistical analysis on the basis of the test data of K676 and K677 propelling charge for K9 self propelled howitzer. Acceptance test of K676 / K677 propelling charge consists of 3 stages and each stage is charge assessment test, charge uniformity test and charge proving ground test. Many of rounds are fired and much money is spent to prove the charge performance at each stage. The result of t-test shows that there is no difference between charge uniformity and charge proving ground test stage of K676 and K677 propelling charge.

  • 본 논문은 K105A1자주포에 적용중인 발사지지대 장치에서 발생한 하강운용간 멈춤현상을 해소하기 위한 설계 개선에 관한 연구이다. K105A1자주포는 기존의 105mm 견인곡사포를 차량에 탑재하여 기존의 궤도장비보다 신속한 기동성을 확보한 무기체계로써 사격충격력 및 부하를 지지하기 위해 발사지지대가 적용되어 있다. 이러한 발사지지대는 사격 전 지면에 단단히 고정되고 사격제원 유지, 차체 자세제어 등 사격임무 수행에 중추적인 역할을 하여 성능발휘에 대한 높은 신뢰성이 요구된다. 그러나, 야전운용시험 간 발사지지대를 설치하는 중 간헐적인 멈춤현상이 발생하여 지면에 고정되지 못하는 문제가 발생하였다. 이러한 문제를 해소하기 위하여 야전에서의 재연시험 및 부품단위 분해검사를 통해 고장원인을 분석 및 검토하였다. 더불어 발사지지대의 운용개념, 작동 메커니즘 및 구성품 단위의 설계분석을 통해 근본적인 원인을 도출하고 이를 해소하고자 관련된 부품의 설계를 변경하여 발사지지대의 멈춤현상을 해소하였다. 마지막으로 설계변경사항의 효과성을 확인하고자 완성체계 상태에 적용하여 발사지지대 성능 및 사격임무 수행이 정상적으로 이루어짐을 확인 및 입증하였다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서는 K105A1자주포 발사지지대의 성능에 대한 안정성 및 신뢰성을 확보하였으며, 본 연구가 향후 군용장비 및 유사품목 개발시 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
