Health is an essential element of human living and participation in society. Due to its significance, government tries to maintain the healthy life of tis people by providing health care and enhancement systems that focus on health welfare. Despite such efforts, there is still a loophole in the public system. The health problem in socially disadvantaged people, especially single mothers, becomes the cause of poverty, and the poverty again results in the poor health conditions. That is why the private sector became interested in this health issue. In this case study about the participants in the healthcare support programs for single mothers in the private sector, their experience and change related on participation in the programs were investigated in depth. As results, the following significance and quantitative performance in supporting the health right for single mothers were explored. Since single mothers could not have cared for their health because their duty for not only parenting but also family's living, th participants thought that they attained good fortunes and their own social networks. Moreover, their life attitude changed to active and their family relationship was also improved as they got out of ambiguous anxiety of health and attained self confidence.
Background: Bell's palsy (BP) is a self-limited rapid onset facial palsy that is non-life-threatening and has a generally favorable prognosis. Facial paralysis can be caused by numerous conditions, all of which should be excluded before the diagnosis of BP is reached. The etiopathogenesis and clinical course of BP are uncertain. So we analyzed the epidemiology and clinical course of BP patients. Methods: The subjects include 100 cases of BP examined during the period of 18 months. Careful clinical history, neurologic examinations, laboratory tests, electrophysiologic studies, and brain imaging were performed. Follow-up examinations were done once a week during the first month and subsequently once a month until normal function was restored or for up to 3 months. Facial nerve function was assessed by House-Brackman (HB) facial nerve grading scale and electrophysiologic studies. Results: Except 13 recurrent BP patients, we analyzed 87 BP patients. Forty-four (50.6%) were men and 43(49.4%) were women and the mean age was 51.0(${\pm}16.6$) years. Three (3.4%) patients showed a familial tendency. The initial examination within 1 week after attack revealed 35.2% was below HB grade 4 and 64.8% was above grade 3. The associated symptoms are as follows; postauricular pain, increase tear flow, taste change, hyperacusis and drooling. The initial facial nerve conduction study and blink reflex within 1 week after attack showed abnormal findings in 12.6% and 100%, respectively. Brain MRI was performed in 59(67.8%) patients and showed abnormal enhancement of affected nerve in 57(96.6%). Follow-up examination showed that 78.2% of the patients partially improved within 4 weeks and completely improved within 3 months. Finally 80.5% of the total patients obtained normal function in 3 months. Conclusions: We report epidemiologic, clinical, electrophysiologic and radiologic characteristics of BP patients.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of motivation and hygiene factors on nurse's job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational identification. Methods: The subject hospital was 4 tertiary general hospital located in Seoul and Incheon, Korea. The participants of this study were 521 nurses working in the subject hospitals. The data were collected by self-reporting questionnaires from April 1 to June 30, 2004. The data were analyzed using SAS 8.0 program for descriptive statistics and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The mean score of variables were as follows. The motivation factor's total was 3.22, hygiene factor's total was 2.98, job satisfaction was 2.94. organizational commitment was 2.94, and organizational identification was 3.62. The statistically significant predicting factors of job satisfaction were achievement, work itself and salary. In organizational commitment, the significant predicting factors were achievement, advancement, work itself, policy and administration, working conditions, and interpersonal relations. In organizational identification, the significant predicting factors were work itself, responsibility, interpersonal relations, and personal life. Conclusion: With these results, it was identified that the predicting factors of nurse's job satisfaction based on Herzberg's two-factor theory. The most statistically significant factors were salary on job satisfaction, policy and administration on organizational commitment and work itself on organizational identification. So these results will be used to develop the more effective strategy of nursing staff management. And also these will be contributed to developing the nurse's motivation enhancement plans.

Purpose: Nursing workplace spirituality (NWS) has received attention as a new and meaningful subject for nursing to consider, but little is known about the relation of NWS to nursing. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of NWS on job satisfaction, burnout and turnover intention. Methods: Participants were 145 clinical nurses, who had worked for over 6 months in one of four general hospitals in B city. Data were collected using self-reported questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson coefficient and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: In the second hierarchy controlling general characteristics, significant predictors of job satisfaction were burnout and NWS, which explained 45.0% of the variance. NWS had more influence on job satisfaction than burn out, and the model was suitable. NWS showed no statistically significant effect on burnout and turnover intention, when general characteristics and job related factors were controlled. Conclusion: Findings indicate that nursing workplace spirituality has a positive influence on job satisfaction, but no direct influence on burnout or turnover intention, which may indicate an indirect influence. Nurse managers need to develop the NWS enhancement program and provide them to nurse to improve job satisfaction.
The Objective of this study was to establish the role of ICT based Welfare services to support the needs of the elderly living alone. For this, 85 current services for the elderly from 6 central governments was arranged, and also, 114 possible welfare services based on ICT in future were surveyed from the research articles. These services were categorized by Maslow's hierarchy of needs, and rearranged into online, offline and combined services. It was observed that most of the services were focused on Safety needs(medical health) and Self-actualization(leisure culture), and services for Esteem were lack. It would be possible to improve the services for the environmental improvement, employment expansion, independent Activities of daily living with the ICT based elderly welfare services. And also, it was needed to develop the additional services for the psychological and emotional support. It was concluded that ICT based consumer oriented services could improve the quality of life of the elderly living alone with the well balanced strategies.
Cancer preventive activities of green tea and its main constituent, (-)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) have been extensively studied by scientists all over the world. Since 1983, we have studied the cancer chemopreventive effects of EGCG as well as green tea extract and underlying molecular mechanisms. The first part of this review summarizes groundbreaking topics with EGCG and green tea extract: 1) Delayed cancer onset as revealed by a 10-year prospective cohort study, 2) Prevention of colorectal adenoma recurrence by a double-blind randomized clinical phase II trial, 3) Inhibition of metastasis of B16 melanoma cells to the lungs of mice, 4) Increase in the average value of Young's moduli, i.e., cell stiffness, for human lung cancer cell lines and inhibition of cell motility and 5) Synergistic enhancement of anticancer activity against human cancer cell lines with the combination of EGCG and anticancer compounds. In the second part, we became interested in cancer stem cells (CSCs). 1) Cancer stem cells in mouse skin carcinogenesis by way of introduction, after which we discuss two subjects from our review on human CSCs reported by other investigators gathered from a search of PubMed, 2) Expression of stemness markers of human CSCs compared with their parental cells, and 3) EGCG decreases or increases the expression of mRNA and protein in human CSCs. On this point, EGCG inhibited self-renewal and expression of pluripotency-maintaining transcription factors in human CSCs. Human CSCs are thus a target for cancer prevention and treatment with EGCG and green tea catechins.
The purpose of this study is to explore the relative influence of psychological well-being and social support on the burnout of infant care teachers. Participants were 194 infant care teachers from 52 infant daycare centers in Gyeong-gi-do. Psychological burnout was assessed by the Maslach Burnout Inventory(Lee, 2011), psychological well-being was measured by the Psychological well-being scale(Cho & Cha, 2001) and social support was measured by the social support questionnaire(Bak, 1985). Date were analyzed using descriptive statistics and analysis, t-test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The major results of this study were as follows; First, there were differences in burnout in terms of marital status, work experiences, classroom operation type and income. Second, Infant care teachers' burnout was negatively correlated with psychological well-being and social support. Third, the most influential factor on infant care teachers' burnout was purpose in life, the second most influential factor was self-acceptance, the third most influential factor was emotional support, and the least influential factor was environmental mastery. Results of this study indicate that a psychological well-being enhancement program should be developed and emotional support from a social relationship network should be enhanced in order to prevent infant care teachers' burnout.
The purpose of this study is to find convergence differences of academic burnout, career preparation behavior, and general characteristics of the students majoring in medical records according to each cluster of resilience, and draw a proper improvement plan. A self-administered questionnaire survey had been conducted and a total of 168 copies were analyzed. As a results Cluster analysis was conducted on three detailed categories of resilience and was classified into two clusters. Cluster1 was a group that had points higher than the average points of Korean in each one of three categories. Cluster2 had all of which were lower points than that. Cluster1 had higher points than cluster2 in terms of career preparation behavior, hobby, subjectively good health condition, extroverted personality, good academic records, satisfaction with school life, and study satisfaction ratio, but had lower points than cluster2 in terms of academic burnout. Therefore, positiveness enhancement education focused on cluster2 will improve total group resilience.
New paradigm to the advancement of disaster management is required for building resilient and safe society. In these circumstances, the importance of local government disaster management capacity has been emphasized through experiencing a series of accidents including 2012 september Gumi fluorosilicic acid diffusion accident. The increase of people's disaster awareness has emerged the public demands on disaster management information of local area. In this study, the disaster management capacity analysis program is developed for self-assessment of local government. The program is designed for disaster managers to database the categorized index of disaster management capacity and recognize the capacity level. For the public announcement of disaster management capacity, the analysis results are shown for citizens in the understandable format. It is expected that the enhancement of emergency management capacity of local society can be achieved by the efforts of local government analyzing and improving the vulnerability as well as the participation of local society.

The purpose of this study is to empirical case study for the instructional design of flipped classroom by job-capability advancement of IT business majors. A student of IT business school has learned a lot of management educations for four years. But, they don't recognize a connection between school education and business practice. A subject based on the humanities, and social sciences consisted of mostly the memorization. The undergraduate class lack a practice's curriculum by a creative-oriented lesson rather than memorization-oriented. In particular, An IT business is now recognized as a significance emerging IT investment, the Internet of Things, information security, big data and strategy's ERP. For these reasons, it is important for an instructional design for understanding business practices of the students. Accordingly, Flipped classroom with participatory class be needed increasingly for students' practical sense. We will propose a design method of flipped classroom for inspiring business education. In this, new instructional design overturned traditional teaching method. After the student conducts a prior learn at home, school will accomplish a problem solving through question and answer. This design effected a boredom suppress and creative enforcement of student and an intimacy increase of instructor. In addition, A participatory class and reciprocal peer tutoring will be possible by a spontaneous self-directed learning of student. We were designed course of project type based on big data theory and application to target the fourth-year course. In conclusion, the new instruction provided a help to learning synergy between student and lecturer. During the lessons, the student showed improvement of business sense and enhanced problem solving capability. The lecturer has the intimacy through communication interaction with students.
