  • This study investigated the relations between mother's parenting self-efficacy, perceived social support, parenting behavior, and stress, and child's temperament, and child' self-esteem, including a mediational role of Korean mother's parenting self-efficacy. The participants were 404 Korean child-mother dyads living in Seoul, Korea. Structural equation modeling indicated that mother's parenting self-efficacy was a significant mediator of the relation between mother's perceived social support and child's temperament and mother's parenting behaviors including Warmth-Acceptance, Rejection-Restriction, and Permissiveness-Nonintervention. In the Warmth-Acceptance model, mother's parenting self-efficacy was related to child self-esteem through Warmth-Acceptance. In the Rejection-Restriction model, mother's parenting self-efficacy was related to child self-esteem both directly and through Rejection-Restriction. Child's temperament was also related to Rejection-Restriction directly. In the Permissiveness-Nonintervention model, mother's parenting self-efficacy was related to child self-esteem directly, not through Permissiveness-Nonintervention. Child's temperament, also, was related to Permissiveness-Nonintervention directly.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-perceptions and school children's depression according to their gender. The participants comprised 578 school age children in Daegu or Gyeongbok Province. The participants completed measures of self-perception(SPPC) and depression(CDI). The SPPC consisted of 6 domains, self-perception(scholastic competence, social acceptance, athletic competence, physical appearance, behavioral conduct and global self-worth). The collected data were analyzed by means of MANOVA, Repeated measures MANOVA, and Multiple Regression Analysis(using SPSS PC(19.0 version). The results were as follows. (1) Among the domain specific areas of self-perception, global self worth scored the highest amongst the other subscales(scholastic competence, social acceptance, athletic competence, behavioral conduct and global self-worth) in both boys and girls. (2) Level of depression in school children differed according to sex and domain specific self-perception which was social acceptance, physical appearance, behavioral conduct and global self worth. (3) Self-perception on depression was a more salient predictor in girls than boys. Among the domain specific area of self-perception, global self worth was the best predictor in both boys and girls.

  • This study investigated cross-informant measures of peer group victimization. The subjects were 460 children in the fifth and sixth grades. Children completed questionnaires that assessed their own victimization feelings of loneliness, and self-perception. They also completed peer nominations concerning peer acceptance and rejection. The results suggest that self-reported victimization is more predictive of loneliness and self-perception, whereas victimization from peer nominations is more predictive of peer rejection and acceptance.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of mother's acceptance parenting attitude and optimism on children's self-regulation including cognitive, emotional, and behavioral regulation. Methods: The subjects were 361 3, 4, 5 - year - old children and their mothers who attended to the early childhood education institutions. One-way ANOVA was conducted to find out age differences in self-regulation. The regression analysis were conducted to find out whether the mother's optimism could predict their children's self-regulation. The stepwise regression analysis were conducted to find out whether the mother's acceptance parenting attitude could predict their children's self-regulation. Results: As for the self-regulation, there were significant age differences in the cognitve regulation and the behavioral regulation, but not in the emotional regulation. It implies that the abilities of cognitive and behavioral regulation increase as the age level goes up. As for the relations between mother's optimism and their children's self-regulation, only the permanence factor of the mother's optimism predicted children's cognitive, emotional, and behavioral regulation. As for the relations between mother's acceptance parenting attitude and their children's self-regulation, two components of mother's acceptance parenting attitude (unconditionally love & right) could predict children's cognitive, emotional, and behavioral regulation. The component of unique could predict the cognitive and emotional regulation. Conclusion/Implications: These results suggest that mother's optimism and acceptance parenting attitude positively affect on the development of self-regulation ability in children.

  • Before COVID-19 outbreak in 2019, it is the core value of airline's service to provide check-in service to passengers face to face. However, due to the global pandemic of COVID-19 outbreak, it is expected the airline service in the future would be dramatically changed from being contacted to being untacted with technology-based self service(TBSS). This paper analyzed the perception of passengers using self service technology and their acceptance. According to empirical analysis, it was found that the change of passengers' perception after COVID-19 has a significant positive effect on the innovation of TBSS. The innovation of TBSS(Effectiveness and certainty) had both significant positive effect on the passengers' acceptance on TBSS at airport. Among variables of TBSS, convenience rather than usefulness of TBSS had a significant positive effect on intention to use TBSS of passengers. It was proposed that airlines not only contribute to increase acceptance of TBSS but also inform and promote the prevention effect of TBSS and the importance of untact service to minimize congestion at check-in counter in airport.

  • This study examined how school-age children's peer acceptance and friendship experience were related to their psychosocial adjusment. Peer acceptance was examined in terms of sociometric status and social preference, and the friendship experience was examined in terms of the reciprocity of best friendship. The subjects were 275 children in the 4th or 5th grades. It was found that sociometric status and the reciprocity of best friendship were significant predictors of the level of loneliness that children experienced. Interaction between children's social preference score and the reciprocity of best friendship was also a significant predictor of the children's experience of loneliness. That is, the degree to which children are accepted by their peer group predicts the level of loneliness that children experience, but the strength of the prediction depends on whether the children have reciprocal best friends. Is for children's self-esteem in relation with sociometric status and the reciprocity of best friendship, only sociometric status was significant predictor of children's self-esteem. However, interaction between social preference and the reciprocity of best friendship was a significant predictor of children's self-esteem. This finding suggests that the degree to which children are accepted by their peer group predicts the level of children's self-esteem, and the strength of the prediction depends on whether the children have reciprocal best friends.

  • The main purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting personnel e-Learning acceptance. We used self-efficacy and perceived playfulness as independent variables to extended Technology Acceptance Model in an e-Learning contort. Perceived playfulness is the one of the important personal intrinsic motivational factors which could enlarge the understanding process of technology acceptance in the personal perspective. Questionnaires were collected from 94 respondents who experienced e-Learning systems that L Corporation provided. This study developed and empirically tested a model representing the relationship by using Structural Equation Model among factors which are: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived playfulness, self-efficacy and attitudes. Also we measured affective and cognitive attitude because, most psychometric literature explain attitude has two different dimensions which are affective and cognitive. The major findings of the study are summarized as follows. Firstly, the higher the perceived usefulness the more affected the behavioral intention was to use as well as attitude to be positive. Secondly, as much as perceived playfulness more affected the perceived ease of use as well as self-efficacy. Finally, the perceived ease of use and self-efficacy are not significantly affected attitude while they are affected perceived usefulness and perceived playfulness.
