  • Anonymity online has been an ever so fundamental topic among journalists, experts, cybersecurity professionals, corporate whistleblowers. Highest degree of anonymity online can be obtained by mimicking a normal everyday user of the internet. Without raising any flags of suspicion and perfectly merging with the masses of public users. Online Security is a very diverse topic, with new exploits, malwares, ransomwares, zero-day attacks, breaches occurring every day, staying updated with the latest security measures against them is quite expensive and resource intensive. Network security through anonymity focuses on being unidentifiable by disguising or blending into the public to become invisible to the targeted attacks. By following strict digital discipline, we can avoid all the malicious attacks as a whole. In this paper we have demonstrated a proof of concept and feasibility of securing yourself on a network by being anonymous.

  • Rapid developments of IT technology has been creating new security threats. There have been more attacks to get patients' sensitive personal information, targeting medical institutions that are relatively insufficient to prevent and defend against such attacks. Although the government has required senior general hospitals to get the ISMS certification since 2016, such a requirement has been burdensome for small and medium-sized medical institutions. Therefore, this study was designed to draw measures to identify and improve the privacy status of the medical institution by dividing it into management, physical and cyber areas for small and medium-sized medical institutions. The results of this study showed that the government should provide financial support and managerial supervision for the improvement of personal information protection of small and medium-sized medical institutions. They also suggested that the government should also provide medical security specialists, continuous medical security education, disaster planning, reduction of medical information management regulations not suitable for small and medium sized institutions.

  • Credit card is means of payment used like cash in terms of function and its users have increased consistently. With development of Internet and electronic commerce a role as payment method of credit card has been growing. But as the risk which results from centralized information and online increases, credit card fraud is also growing. Card theft and loss are decreasing due to countermeasure of card companies and financial supervisory authorities, while card forge and identity theft are increasing. Recently because of frequent personal information leakage and deregulation of financial security following easy-to-use payment enforcement, customer's anxiety about card fraud is growing. And the increase of card fraud lowers trust on credit system as well as causes social costs. In this paper, the security problems of card operating system are addressed in depth and the measures such as immediate switch to IC card terminals, introduction of new security technology, supervision reinforcement of the authorities are proposed.

  • Recently, various cyber threats such as Ransomware and APT attack are increasing by e-mail. The characteristic of such an attack is that it is important to take administrative measures by improving personal perception of security because it bypasses technological measures such as past pattern-based detection The purpose of this study is to investigate the human factors of employees who are vulnerable to spam mail attacks through field experiments and to establish future improvement plans. As a result of sending 7times spam mails to employees of a company and analyzing training report, It was confirmed that factors such as the number of training and the recipient 's gender, age, and workplace were related to the reading rate. Based on the results of this analysis, we suggest ways to improve the training and to improve the ability of each organization to carry out effective simulation training and improve the ability to respond to spam mail by awareness improvement.

  • State-sponsored cyberattacks have increased significantly and threaten national security in recent years. State-sponsored cyberattacks are often more sophisticated and destructive that attacks by individuals and private groups because of the concentration of manpower and resources. So major countries including the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as international organizations such as the EU and OECD, are recommending proportional response measures against cyberattacks. The Republic of Korea(ROK) is also trying to change its will to secure cyberattack deterrence and prepare active response through the 「National Cybersecurity Strategy 2019」. However, the ROK is not equipped with an adequate methodology to assess the severity of cyberattacks nor measures for proportional response to such attacks. In this paper, we propose a Cyber Attack Severity Assessment(CASA) methodology that can assess the scale and impact of damage to prepare external response threshold for cyberattacks at the government-level and to enable proportional responses when responding.

  • This paper studied security measures to protect the SCADA network from the increasingly sophisticated threats. Currently, SCADA system security uses methods that are almost like regular IT security systems. While there may be some common security techniques, security techniques are needed only for SCADA systems that are different from typical IT systems. Therefore, this paper will explore the security techniques currently used in SCADA systems, and the problems that arise when the current security techniques are used will be identified through the damage cases resulting from attacks in SCADA systems. Finally, as a new solution to ensure the availability and integrity required for current SCADA systems, we proposed linking Blockchain and SCADA systems.

  • A differentiated training considered the individual traits of a security guard in order to achieve the self-realization as well as to fulfill the spiritual needs of a security guard is needed. To promote the development of security industry in the new millennium, new types of training methods should be introduced, and a planned elaborate training in consideration of the traits of individual security guards is needed. On the other hand, to cultivate occupational consciousness, and to increase training products, a specific kind of training based on the survey of demand should be carried out. In this study, I made an actual analysis current training contents derived from the questionnaires and interviews among the security guards who were employed at the security industry. From these analyses, I am going to suggest the following measures; 1) The improvement of circumstances in training should be preceded. 2) Training related to practical business in consideration of individual traits should be emphasized. 3) Producing excellent professionals and developing specific textbooks are needed. 4) To establish professional education institutes is urgently needed. 5) Systematic training methods sponsored by government authorities and security society should be established. 6) The deep concern of security industry employers about the importance of training is needed.

  • Currently, in the 4th industrial revolution era(4IR), the convergent infrastructure has been established by actively utilizing data based on the existing digital technological innovation in the 3rd industrial revolution. Thus, the technological innovation based on the knowledge-information society needs to put innovative efforts for creating new business models in various areas. Thus, this study aims to present an Electronic Security Framework by suggesting the Cyber-Physical Security System(CPSS) that could more accurately predict and efficiently utilize it based on structured data obtained by collecting, analyzing, and processing an enormous amount of unstructured data which is a core technology distinguished from the 3rd industrial revolution.

  • The Cyberspace of the Republic of Korea Army is continuously threatened by enemies. Means for responding to such cyber threats are ultimately Military information security professional personnel. Currently, however, there are only a handful of advanced information security professional persons in Republic of Korea Army, and a lack of systematic training is inadequate. Therefore, in this thesis, we surveyed the information security professional human resource policies of USA, UK, Israel, and Japan. In addition, the policy to train professional human resources specialized in defense cyber security, we proposed training of specialist talent of 4 steps and medium and long term plan, step-by-step training system sizing, introduction of certification system.
