  • This study focuses on customer perception of security control under Internet banking environment Internet banking customers' understanding of security control is insufficient. They are not fully aware of security technologies for Internet banking. Moreover, they cannot know which control is implemented and maintained on an Internet banking site when visiting the site. This study, therefore, attempts to find the impact of customer perception of security control on Internet banking acceptance. The research model is based on the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model), and introduces trust as an additional belief. Trust has been investigated in the marketing area, and begins to be focused in e-business area. A Web survey of Internet banking users collected 845 cases. Statistical analyses, using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling), partially supported the hypotheses that perceived strength of security control has an impact on three beliefs: trust, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use. We also verified the impact of these beliefs on attitude toward using, on behavioral intention to use, and on actual use. It is, therefore, verified that perceived strength of security control is a determinant of Internet banking acceptance.

  • Traffic safety has been dramatically enhanced thanks to recent improvements in traffic environment. Nonetheless, many traffic accidents occur due to unchanging driving practices. Therefore, this study addresses the issues of traffic fine and penalty fine policies, and seek appropriate levels of traffic fines through a public attitude survey. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 905 adult drivers over 20 years of age from 15 provinces and metropolitan cities. Analysis results are as follows. First, traffic environment in South Korea is generally not safe. Respondents perceive violation of traffic laws such as reckless driving, speeding and drunk and driving as an important cause. Second, 61.6% of respondents experienced over one speeding annually, but only 15.2% of respondents were caught in the last three years. Third, opposition to levels of traffic fines has decreased over the past, and responses were more positive when more information was provided. Fourth, to deter moral hazard of paying traffic fines to avoid traffic penalty points, traffic fines should be at least 50,000~70,000 won higher than penalty fines. Fifth, there was less opposition to implementation of accumulated penalty policy compared to income-based differential fine levels. Sixth, traffic fines for different types of traffic violations need to be reorganized. In conclusion, this study suggests the following policy improvements for the current traffic fine and penalty fine policies for violation of traffic laws. First, enough understanding and consensus must be developed for policy improvements. Second, administrative sanctions such as giving penalty points should be considered rather than financial sanctions. Third, there should be policy improvement for accumulative penalty. Current acts of traffic law violation should be reorganized.

  • Mobile shopping, through the use of the smart phone, has become a very popular shopping method for consumers due to it not being limited by time or place. This research aims do the following:1)find the causes for consumers shifting to mobile shopping with the focus on fashion and beauty items; and in order to so, this research will use the TAM that was found by David et al (1989), and 2) distinguish any behavioral differences between consumer groups divided into purchasing intention of fashion and beauty items through smart phone. Path analysis was performed to verify the cause-and-effect relationship between the variables. Personal characteristics(i.e. market maven, time orientation), perceived usability, ease of use, attitude towards mobile shopping, and purchase intentions were all treated as dependant variables. The results showed that attitude towards mobile shopping was the most important variable on mobile shopping intentions. Time-oriented and Market Maven were thought to affect mobile shopping attitude and the dependent variables of purchase intention. Also, when purchasing smart phones, consumers highly valued smart phone's popularity; people with higher purchasing intention mainly used entertainment and utility apps. The following are the main reasons for not purchasing through mobile shopping: they are slower than computers, inconveniences in viewing due to small size of the screen, and security issues. The consumers used the internet as their main source of acquiring daily information. In this research, factors that affect the purchase intention were studied. However, it is difficult to firmly insist that this research correctly predicts the actual purchase intention-further studies need to be done to investigate the relationship between mobile purchase intention and actual purchase intention.

  • As smart devices have proliferated and mobile networks have accelerated, various wired IT(Information Technology) services are transplanted in wireless environments. Cloud computing service, enabling individual users or firm users to download data from a server and upload data after manipulating data, is also available in mobile devices. Unlike cloud service in wired network environments, mobile cloud service provides differentiated aspects in mobility, security issues caused by persistent connection to networks. In this paper we aim to analyze the factors affecting the user attitude and their structural relationships towards mobile cloud service use. We extend TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) to consider the characteristics of mobile environments. Research findings, analyzed by SEM(Structural Equation Model), are explained and practical implications are presented with concluding remarks.

  • In the last few years, cloud computing has grown from being a promising business concept to one of the fast growing segments of the IT industry. However, as more and more information on individuals and companies are placed in the cloud, concerns on just how safe the computing environment is have gradually increased. In this study, it will be explored if key characteristics of cloud computing services would affect the behavioral intention to use public cloud computing services. A conceptual model is developed and seven research hypotheses are proposed for empirical testing. The proposed model is examined through structural equation analysis. The results show that perceived risk has statistically significant effect on the privacy concern of users and the privacy concern has a negative influence on the trust. Finally, the trust has a positive effect on the attitude and the attitude has statistically significant effect on use intention. Implications of these findings are discussed for both researchers and practitioners and future research issues are raised as well.

  • Information security incidents caused by authorized insiders are increasing in financial firms, and this increase is particularly increased by outsourced contractors. With the increase in outsourcing in financial firms, outsourced contractors having authorized right has become a threat and could violate an organization's information security policy. This study aims to analyze the differences between own employees and outsourced contractors and to determine the factors affecting the violation of information security policy to mitigate information security incidents. This study examines the factors driving employees to violate information security policy in financial firms based on the theory of planned behavior, general deterrence theory, and information security awareness, and the moderating effects of employee type between own employees and outsourced contractors. We used 363 samples that were collected through both online and offline surveys and conducted partial least square-structural equation modeling and multiple group analysis to determine the differences between own employees (246 samples, 68%) and outsourced contractors (117 samples, 32%). We found that the perceived sanction and information security awareness support the information security policy violation attitude and subjective norm, and the perceived sanction does not support the information security policy behavior control. The moderating effects of employee type in the research model were also supported. According to the t-test result between own employees and outsourced contractors, outsourced contractors' behavior control supported information security violation intention but not subject norms. The academic implications of this study is expected to be the basis for future research on outsourced contractors' violation of information security policy and a guide to develop information security awareness programs for outsourced contractors to control these incidents. Financial firms need to develop an information security awareness program for outsourced contractors to increase the knowledge and understanding of information security policy. Moreover, this program is effective for outsourced contractors.

  • Today, over seventy five percent of nursing in Korea provide a psychiatric experience in the basic curriculum. The psychiatric affiliation presents numerous major problems of adjustment to the student. The Importance of positive attitude toward the nursing care of psychiatric patients is recognized by the nursing profession. I have fined out the unfavorable attitude of non collegiate nursing students toward psychiatric nursing affiliation by previous research. This study was undertaken in response to a felt need to explore the use of several devices which might yield information about attitudes toward psychiatric nursing as a basis for future planning of the program offered at a selected hospital. This study is designed to meet the following objectives; (1) In order to find out the expressed attitudes of fifty·three collegiate nursing students toward their psychiatric affiliation. (2) To compare responses given by selected group of collegiate and non collegiate nursing students to same questionnaire (3) To determine the relationship between the attitudes of nursing students toward psychiatric nursing and the type of instructions where experience was obtained. A questionnaire, a Korean translation of the "Psychiatric Nursing Attitude Questionnaire" by Moldered Elizabeth fletcher, was administered to fifty-three collegiate nursing students who had completed a four-week psychiatric affiliation in a S hospital psychiatric ward during May 7, 1973 to Dec. 16, 1973. - The questionnaire of 100 statements was administered in the following way; (1) Part Ⅰ, Preconceptions, was, given in individual conferences with each subject, during the first few days of their affiliation, and again during the final week of affiliation. The responses to Part I were oral. (2) Part Ⅱ, Expectations, Part Ⅲ, Personal Relations, Part Ⅳ, Personal Feelings, and Part V, Attitudes and Activities of Patients were given to all of the subjects in a group meeting during the second week of the affiliation, and again, during the fourth week at the termination of the affiliation. Responses to Parts Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ·, and V, were written. Each of the 100 statements of the questionnaire was considered to be either Positive or Negative. A favorable response was assigned the positive value of 1 and an unfavorable response was assigned the Negative value of O. The coefficient of correlation was computed between the two sets of scores for the fifty-three nursing students, The mean score, the standard deviation, and the differences in the means on each of the five parts of the questionnaire were computed and the relationships calculated by at-test. The results of the study were as follows; 1. There was no significant correlation between the two sets of the scores for the fifty-three nursing students during the four-week psychiatric affiliation. (r= 0.36) 2. There was no significant difference in the mean scores between the first and final tests for any of the questionnaire. 3. The Part Ⅰ, Preconceptions, data indicated collegiate nursing students have positive attitudes in preconceptions than non collegiate nursing students and preconceptions toward the psychiatric affiliation which affect their psychiatric nursing experience. 4. The Part Ⅱ, Expectations, data indicated more appropriate expectations of collegiate nursing students related to pre psychiatric affiliation orientation and sufficient theory learning than non-collegiate nursing students. 5. The Part Ⅲ, Personal relations, data indicated some students have negative attitudes in personal relations with normal people in respect to psychological security and social responsibilities. 6. The Part Ⅳ, Personal feelings, data indicated nursing students have psychological insecurity & inappropriateness. 7. The Part V, Attitudes and activities of patients, data indicated collegiate nursing students have more positive attitudes to the psychotic behavior of certain situations due to sufficient theory learning. 8. The data indicated collegiate·nursing students have more positive attitude than non-collegiate nursing students. 8. The data indicated collegiate·nursing students have more positive attitude than non-collegiate nursing students through psychiatric affiliation.

  • A mission of the police as described by law is to guard the life, body and property of all citizens. Such duties should be accurately performed based on legal and democratic procedures because the works of the police are directively influencing the overall lives of the citizens by restricting their freedom. The national police agency is setting up the figure of the police trusted and beloved by citizens. The strategies of police reform is to recognize the proposition of 'change the mind and you will see the bright future' and the historical mission of 'It is possible to survive only through the reform'. We are frequently watching the traffic police on the street or road. Traffic policing aims to reduce crime and the opportunities for criminal activity in relation to the use of roads, that is to improve road user behavior in order to reduce accidents. This study examines perceptions of drivers on the traffic police. For this purpose, this study surveys the opinion and view of drivers in Andong city based on the survey research and interview methods. The major findings of this study is as follows. Many drivers in Andong city evaluate negatively the kindness toward civilians, fair(rational) law enforcement of traffic police. So, this study suggests the improvement of the traffic police image.(for example, kindness toward civilians, service attitude, fair and rational law enforcement, etc)
