창의적 체험활동과 연계한 초등학교 지속가능발전교육 프로그램의 개발과 적용 (The Development and Application of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Program related to Creative-Experience Activity for Elementary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the ESD program related to creative-experience activity, and to examine the effect of its application. The program was composed of 13 sessions for fifth-grade class in elementary school, including all of the environmental, economic, and social aspects of ESD. This program was connected to the domains of creative hands-on activities, that is, career activities, club activities, self-regulated activities and voluntary service activities. The results was as follows. First, the experimental group to undergo the ESD program related to creative-experience activity did not show significant differences in environmental literacy compared to the control group, but it is proven that this program contributed to the improvement of learners' environmental emotion, skill, and participation. Second, the experimental group did not show significant differences in scientific attitude compared to the control group, but it was considered to affect the elementary students' criticism, self-esteem, and patience in positive and effective manner. In conclusion, more ESD program that cultivate elementary school students' environmental literacy need to be developed continuously, and more intensive research should be conducted to earn better understanding of ESD.

정신보건센터에 근무하는 정신보건간호사의 직무만족도 (Job Satisfaction of Psychiatric and Community Mental Health Nurses in Community Mental Health Centers)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of psychiatric and community mental health nurses' job satisfaction. Methods: This was a descriptive and correlational study in which 151 psychiatric and community mental health nurses (PCMHNs) took part between September and October 2009. Results: The mean score for job satisfaction of the participants was 3.25. In job satisfaction, there were significant differences between psychiatric and community mental health nurse practitioner (PCMHNP) and nurse in community mental health center. All variables except role conflict were positively correlated with job satisfaction. As a result, factors influencing job satisfaction were reward system (${\beta}$=.46, p<.001), self-esteem (${\beta}$=.35, p<.001), leadership (${\beta}$= .27, p<.001), career as a PCMHNP (${\beta}$=-.12, p<.007), job-related characteristics (${\beta}$=.11, p<.24), and career as a nurse in community mental health center (${\beta}$=.09. p<.045). These factors explained 70.3% of the total variance. Conclusion: The results indicated that the comprehensive understanding of job satisfaction to the independent variables could suggest the way how to increase the job satisfaction for psychiatric and community mental health nurse who are a catalysts promoting mental health in community mental health center.

간호사의 간호역량과 상사의 직무역량 인식정도가 업무성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Nurse's Competency Empowerment and Boss' Job Competency Recognition Level on Work Performance)

  • Purpose: This study is to investigate the effect of nurse's competency empowerment and boss' job competency recognition on work performance. Methods: 216 nurses participated for data collection which was conducted from September 1, 2011 to September 10, 2011. The collected data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 16.0 and with frequency test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test and Multiple regression. Results: Firstly, the work performance in accordance with subject's general characteristics was found to be significant in the 50s, graduate school or higher education, Roman Catholic, charge nurse and 21-years or older. Secondly, the correlation among nurse's competency empowerment, boss' competency recognition and work performance was found to be positively related (r=.501~.639, p<.001). Thirdly, competency empowerment was found to be the most effective factor for work performance, followed by boss' competency recognition and career year, and these factors accounted for 63.5%. Conclusion: As the results show that the work performance is highly affected by the nurse's competency empowerment, boss' competency recognition level and career level in clinical environment, effective education programs are required to provide an appropriate experience to both entry-level and experienced nurses, as well as to enhance boss' competency empowerment at the same time.

What Determines Interest in Becoming a Student of Professional Accounting?

  • This study aims to identify the determinants of student interest in pursuing Accounting Professional Education (Indonesia: PPAk) in Province of Bali. The determinants which the author has used are: independent variables are social motivation, career motivation, quality motivation, and duration of education. The sample in this study comprises of 75 respondents who are students of Accounting discipline at the Faculty of Economics and Business at universities in the Province of Bali. Data was collected using a questionnaire and have been processed using multiple regression analysis. The results show that social motivation, career motivation, and quality motivation have a positive effect on students' interest in studying Accounting Professional Education. On the other hand, the duration of the accounting course has a negative effect on students' interest in studying this program. The importance of role of a professional accountant in realizing transparency in public life, and an economy that is free from financial deceit and fraud makes the role of professional accounting institutions very important. However, graduates' who desire to continue their studies in the PPAk program tends to be low. The findings of this research are expected to become the basis for policy makers in formulating rules related to the development of the accounting profession in the society, especially in Indonesia.

상급종합병원의 업무환경과 간호조직문화가 간호사의 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Work Environment and Nursing Organizational Culture on Tertiary Hospital Nurses' Turnover Intention)

  • Purpose : This study examined the effects of work environment and organizational culture on tertiary hospital nurses' turnover intention. Methods : A cross-sectional design was used, with a convenience sample of 371 hospital nurses from 16 units of three tertiary hospitals in South Korea. Data were collected through a self-report survey conducted during September and October 2016. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test, Fisher's exact test, independent t-test, and binary logistic regression analysis. Results : A total of 43.7% of the participants were identified as having turnover intention within 1 year. Factors related to turnover intention among hospital nurses were age, marital status, and total clinical career. Furthermore, a relationship-oriented organizational culture showed a negative association with turnover intention. Conclusion : These findings suggest it is important to provide appropriate motivational programs and incentives for nurses according to their clinical career to decrease turnover intention. Moreover, establishing a relationship-oriented organizational culture will also help to reduce the turnover intention of tertiary hospital nurses.

병원간호사의 보상 측정도구 개발 (Development of a Reward Scale for Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to develop and test a reward scale for hospital nurses. Methods: The initial items were identified through a literature review and focus group interviews with ten hospital nurses. The content validity of the items was evaluated by ten experts. Fifty-one items were derived from the pilot survey. Four hundred eighty-eight nurses participated in the study: 248 for exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and 240 confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Data were analyzed using item analysis, EFA, CFA, convergent validity, known-group validity, and internal consistency using IBM SPSS Statistics 29.0 and IBM SPSS AMOS 29.0. Results: The final scale consisted of 31 items and eight factors (decent wage, opportunity to grow and develop, support for special situations, various benefits, flexibility of work, job-related achievement, reflecting career and performance, and recognition), which explained 67.3% of the total variance. The eight-subscale model was validated by CFA. Convergent validity was evaluated by analyzing correlation with intention to leave (r = - .63, p < .001) and job satisfaction (r = .54, p < .001). The known-group validity was evaluated by comparing the reward scales according to age, clinical career, income level and hospital type. The scale was found to be reliable with a Cronbach's α of .89. Conclusion: Both the validity and reliability of the reward scale for hospital nurses are verified, which can enhance the understanding of the range of rewards and may assist nurse managers in establishing an effective reward system.

수해양교육 연구 동향 분석 (An Analysis of the Research Trend in Fisheries and Marine Science Education)

  • This study was aimed at analyzing the research trends and presenting the future research in fisheries and marine sciences education. This study analyzed 127 papers related with fisheries and marine sciences education among total 970 papers from 1988(Vol. 1(1)) to 2015(Vol. 27(3)) in 'The Journal of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Education'. The results were as follows. Firstly, researches related with fisheries and marine sciences education have been actively studied from 2013 to the resent. Secondly, career vocation education and subject matter education were the most in the contents on fisheries and marine sciences education. Thirdly, literature reviews and content analysis were used the most in the research method on fisheries and marine sciences education. Lastly, most researchers(82.68%) belonged to university, and from around 2008, multiple-author research began to increase quite a bit in comparison with single-author research.

Habermas의 세 행동체계의 관점에서 본 한국과 미국의 고등학교 가정교과서 식생활 단원의 학습목표와 활동과제 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on Korean and American High School Home Economics Textbooks Based on Habermas's Three Systems of Action: Focusing on the Learning Objectives and Activities)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 우리나라와 미국의 고등학교 가정교과서 식생활 단원을 Habermas의 세 행동체계에 따라 분석하여 세가지 행동체계가 교과서의 학습 목표와 활동과제에 어떻게 반영되어 있는지 알아보는 데 있다. 이러한 목적을 이루기 위해서 우리나라 고등학교 '기술·가정', '가정과학', 미국 고등학교 'Succeeding in life and career' 교과서에서 식생활 단원의 학습목표와 활동과제를 Habermas의 세 행동체계를 기준으로 내용분석 기법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석방법은 문장을 통해 맥락 파악이 명확한 것을 해당 행동체계에 상응시켰다. 분석과정에서 한 개로 묶여 있지만 학습 활동이 여러 가지로 되어있으면서 행동체계가 달리 나타나는 경우에는 2가지 이상의 행동체계가 통합되어 있는 것으로 분석하였다. 우리나라 고등학교 '기술·가정', '가정과학' 교과서와 미국 고등학교 교과서' Succeeding in life and career' 식생활 단원의 학습 목표와 활동과제 수는 각각 3개, 26개, 248개로 나타났다. 우리나라 교과서는 의사소통적 행동의 비율이 '기술·가정' 교과서 66.7%, '가정과학' 교과서 50%로 가장 많은 것으로 나타났고, 미국 교과서는 기술적 행동의 비율이 66.5%로 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 기술적 행동과 관련된 활동과제들은 음식을 만들거나, 건강이나 음식에 대한 정보를 조사하거나, 조리 실험 등이 있었다. 의사소통적 행동과 관련된 활동과제들은 건강, 식사 예절과 관련된 역할극을 하거나, 직업 인터뷰나 설문 조사를 하여 결과를 작성하는 활동 등이 있었다. 해방적 행동과 관련된 활동과제들은 건강과 음식과 관련하여 봉사프로젝트 등 사회에 참여하는 활동이나, 식생활에서 일어나는 문제를 찾아 실천적 추론을 통해서 최선의 해결방안을 생각해보는 것이 있었다.

치과위생사의 이동형 구내방사선 촬영에 관한 방사선 방어 교육, 지식, 수행에 관한 연구 (A study on radiation safety education, knowledge, and practice in using portable intraoral X-ray equipment of dental hygienist's)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to evaluate radiation safety education, knowledge and practice of dental hygienists in using handheld portable intraoral X-ray equipment and to suggest the need for radiation safety education in using handheld portable intraoral X-ray equipment. Methods: We surveyed 223 dental hygienists from July, 2017 to August in the dental clinics of Daejeon, Seoul and Gyeonggi area. Results: Radiation safety educational experience was higher in a year's career (72.9%), than 3 years experience (32.5%) (p<0.05). 82.7% of dental clinic workers took university education for radiation safety education while 55.6% of dental hospital workers took company training (p<0.05). More than 70% of the subjects did not have experience of radiation safety education about using portable intraoral X-ray. Radiation safety knowledge was highest in a year's career (p<0.05). The cumulative dose, radiation sensitivity, and lead defense knowledge were high in all subjects, but knowledge related to scattering radiation and scattering radiation sources was low. Practice of portable intraoral X-ray safety was significantly lower than knowledge. Conclusions: Knowledge of portable intraoral radiography safety is available, but performance is poor. Even with the small amount of radiation exposure, the risk is perceivable. There is a need to actively utilize the provided radiation protection products. In order to do this, efforts should be made to improve knowledge and performance of radiation safety through not only college education but also postemployment training.

고등학교 화학 Ⅰ교과서의 STS 교육 내용 및 구성 방식 개선 방안 (Improvement Schemes of STS Contents and Structure of the High School Chemistry Ⅰ Textbooks to be developed by the 7th Curriculum)

  • 본 연구에서는 제6차 교육과정에 의거하여 개발되어 현재 고등학교에서 사용중인 화학 I교과서에서 과학-기술-사회(Science, Technology and Society, 이하 STS) 내용 및 활동 유형, 제시 방식 등을 검토하고, 이 결과을 외국의 대표적인 고등학생용 STS 자료를 분석 한 결과와 비교하여, 장차 제7차 교육과정에 의거하여 개발될 고등학교 화학 I교과서에서 적절한 STS 내용 및 구성 방식을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서는 현행 고등학교 화학 I교과서 중 임의로 5종을 선택하여 STS내용, STS 교수 학습 활동 유형, STS 내용 제시 양식, STS 내용의 포함 정도를 기준으로 하여 분석하였다. 그리고, 외국의 STS 프로그램 중에서 Chemistry in the Community, Science and Technology in Society, Chemistry; The Salter's Approach를 선택하여 구성 방식의 특징, 교재에서 다루고 있는 학습 주제 및 우리 나라 화학 I교육과정과의 관련성을 분석하였다. 연구결과에서 학습 내용적인 살펴보면, 제 6차 교육과정에 의거하여 개발된 화학 I교과서에서는 주로 '사회적 문제','과학의 응용성', '과학의 다차원성'만 다루고 있고, '과학에 관련된 직업에 대한 인식'과 '실제 문제에 대한 협동 작업'과 관련된 내용은 전혀 없으므로 다양한 측면의 STS 내용을 다루고 있지 않다고 볼 수 있었다. 반면, 외국 교재에서는 과학${\cdot}$기술과 관련된 직업을 소개하는 난이 독립적으로 되어 있거나 실제로 의사 결정을 해야 하는 내용 등 다양한 내용을 다루고 있었다. 활동 유형을 살펴보면, 지역에 대한 사례 조사, 역할 놀이, 다양한 의사 결정 활동 등 다양한 학생 활동을 제시하고 있는 외국 STS 교재에 비하여 우리나라 화학 I교과서는 설명 위주였으며, 조사와 토론 활동이 대부분이므로, 학생 활동이 상당히 빈약하다고 볼 수 있었다. 그러나, 중학교 과학 교과서에 비하여 STS 내용 포함 비율은 높아졌으며, 책마다 STS에 대하여 따로 소개하고 있어서 우리 나라의 화학 교과서가 STS적인 성격을 띠려고 시도하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과들을 바탕으로 하여, 우리 나라 제 7차 교육과정에 의거한 화학 I교과서에서의 STS 내용 및 구성 방식을 제안하였다.
