소셜미디어 시대에서의 사회적 소통과 미디어 윤리 (Social Communication and Media Ethics in the Age of Social Media)

  • 미디어는 소통을 위한 도구이다. SNS등으로 대표되는 소셜미디어는 현대의 과학기술이 탄생시킨 최상의 소통도구로 여겨진다. 그러나 현재 한국에서는 소셜미디어의 광범위한 확산에도 불구하고 소통의 위기라고 불릴 만큼, 사회적 소통의 문제가 심각하다. 그 이유와 대책은 무엇일까? 이러한 문제의식에서 본 논문은 기획되었다. 우선 2장에서는 소셜미디어가 갖는 여러 기능 중에서 저널리즘으로서의 가능성과 그 특징에 대해 논의하였다. 3장에서는 사회적 소통과 관련하여 소셜미디어가 지니는 역할을 기존의 미디어와 비교하여 고찰하였다. 끝으로 4장에서는 새롭게 등장한 소셜미디어가 이상적인 사회적 소통을 위해 추구해야할 가치를 기존의 저널리즘이 추구하던 가치와 연관하여 논의한 후, 새롭게 추가되어야 할 가치를 언론윤리 혹은 미디어윤리의 차원에서 제시하였다. 수단으로서의 미디어의 완성이 목적으로서의 소통의 완성을 담보하지 못한다는 사실은 결국 과학기술의 발전이 자동적으로 인간의 행복을 보장하는 것은 아니라는 명제와 일맥상통하는 것으로 보인다. 이는 결국 인간의 행복을 위해서는 과학기술에 대한 철학적 혹은 윤리적 논의가 필요하듯이 소통의 완성을 위해서는 미디어에 대한 철학적 혹은 윤리적 논의가 필요함을 증명하는 것으로 생각된다.

  • The article clarifies the definition and components of the ICT competence of future teachers, justifies the introduction of a motivational-value component. ICT competence of future teachers has a four-component structure: motivational-value, general-use, general pedagogical, subject-pedagogical components. The levels (reproductive, productive, creative), criteria and indicators of the formation of ICT-competence of students of a pedagogical college are determined, the content of these levels (reproductive, productive, creative) is disclosed, respectively.

  • The article defines the basic concepts: "election campaign", "social capital", "conversion of social capital"; the principles and methods of research of social capital conversion in election campaigns are studied; the process of using social capital in politics is defined; ways of converting social capital into politics are considered; the possibilities of converting social capital in election campaigns are described. Election campaigns have been found to be a successful form of social capital conversion. The ability to use social capital in the election campaign speaks of its high potential. Election campaigns are not an effective use of social capital.

  • The article reveals the essence of cyber socialization influencing the process of education and development. The general and potential possibilities of cyber socialization in the process of using the cyberspace of the Internet environment are presented. The sudden transition to distance learning in the spring of 2020 put the pedagogical community in the face of problems related to the content, organizational and methodological basis of the educational process. During the training in distance mode, a rich experience was gained in the use of information and communication technologies. The article discusses the techniques and methods of teaching using the capabilities of information and communication and digital technologies.

  • The article proposes that empathy differs in severity and types among students of different specialties. And to test this hypothesis, an experimental study of students from 4 different faculties was carried out. As a result of the study, it was found that empathy is more pronounced among students of "humanitarian" specialties, and students of "exact" specialties have the least pronounced empathic abilities.

  • This study aimed to examine predictors of the intention to protect personal information on Facebook. We conducted an online survey of 679 Facebook users in the Republic of Korea. The findings of this study showed that usefulness and ease of use had significant effects on attitudes toward protection behavior. The results also revealed that risk factors (privacy risk severity and vulnerability) had significant effects on protective behaviors. Based on our findings, we discussed the information protection of privacy on Facebook.

  • 본 연구는 한국회사와 미국회사의 웹사이트의 상호작용, 비교광고 및 기술사용에 대한 미교문화적분석을 시도하는 것이다. 고관여와 저관여, 권력간격 그리고 개인주의-집단주의를 문화분석기준을 이용하여 분석함으로써 한국과 미국의 웹사이트의 상호작용을 비교 평가하였다. 본연구의 결과에 의하면 미국의 웹사이트들은 고객-메세지와 고객-광고주의 상호작용을 강조한 반면에 한국의 웹사이트는 고객-고객의 상호작용을 강조하고있는 것으로 발견되었다. 비교광고에 대한 연구결과에 의하면 미국의 개인주의와 한국의 집단주의에 대한 편향성때문에 미국 웹사이트은 한국 웹사이트들과 비교하여 직, 간접적인 비교광고를 더욱 많이 사용하는 것을 발견하였다. 기술분석의 결과에 의하면 두 나라의 웹사이트들은 이 분야에있어서 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다.

Social Media News in Crisis? Popularity Analysis of the Top Nine Facebook Pages of Bangladeshi News Media

  • Social media has become a popular source of information around the world. Previous studies explored different trends of social media news consumption. However, no studies have focused on Bangladesh to date, where social media penetration is very high in recent years. To fill this gap, this research aimed to understand its popularity trends during the period. For that reason, this work analyzes 97.67 million page likes and 3.48 billion interaction data collected from nine Bangladeshi news media's Facebook pages between December 2016 to November 2020. The analysis shows that the growth rates of page likes and interaction rates declined during this period. It suggests that the media's Facebook pages are gradually losing their popularity among Facebook users, which may have two more interpretations: Facebook's aggregate appeal as a news source is decreasing to users, or Bangladeshi media's appeal is eroding to Facebook users. These findings challenge the previous results, i.e., Facebook's demand as a news source is increasing with time. We offer four explanations of the decreased popularity of Facebook's news: information overload, exposure to incidental news, users' selective exposure and different aims of using Facebook, and conflict between media agendas and users' interests. Some theoretical and practical significance of the results has been discussed as well.
