수학학습 부진아 지도방안으로써의 수학일지 쓰기 (Mathematical Journal Writing as a Method of Improving Mathematical Attitudes and Achievements for Underachieve Students)

  • 수학 과목은 위계성이 강하기 때문에 조금씩 생긴 수학에 대한 결손은 학년이 올라갈수록 더욱 깊어지고 심화된다. 이에 수학학습 부진학생들은 수학 수업이 더 어렵게 느껴지고 흥미 는 떨어지고 있다. 교육과정도 학습자 위주의 교육을 지향하고 있지만 아직은 교사중심으로 수학수업이 이루어지며 학생과 교사 사이에 서로의 의견을 주고받을 방법이 특별히 없는 것 이 현실이다. 따라서 본 연구는 수학학습 부진 학생들의 수학적 태도를 변화시키고 수학성취 도 향상을 꾀하기 위한 방안으로써 수학일지 쓰기를 택하였다. 중학교 1학년 학생들 중 수학 성취도가 40% 미만인 학생들을 대상으로 6주간의 수학일지를 쓰기를 실시한 후 수학일지에 대한 반응, 수학성취도에 미친 영향을 분석해 보았다. 그 결과로 수학일지 쓰기가 학생들에 게 능동적이고 능률적인 학습태도와 수학에 대한 자신감을 갖게 함으로써 수학 성취도에 향상을 가져줌을 알 수 있었다.

역할놀이 비유 활동 수업이 초등학생의 과학 학업성취도와 과학탐구능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of The Role-Playing Analogy Activity Class on the Academic Achievements and the Science Process Skills of Elementary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of the role-playing analogy activity-based class on the academic achievement in science and the science process skills of elementary school students. One experimental group and one control group of 4th grade students were selected to perform a prior investigation on the academic achievement in science and the science process skill. Then the experimental group attended science lessons that were based on the role-playing analogy activity and the control group attended the traditional science lessons based on the text book and teacher's guide. After conducting lessons, a post investigation was performed for each group and the results were analyzed to produce the following conclusions. First, the role-playing analogy activity class was more effective to improve students' academic achievements than the traditional science class. And the role-playing analogy activity class was more effective to learners in the high-level group, which made a scores above the average in prior investigation on the academic achievement, whereas it was little effective to those in the low-level group. Second, the role-playing analogy activity class was effective to enhance students' science process skills than the traditional science class. And the role-playing analogy activity class was more effective to the learners' in the high-level group than those in the low-level group.

고등학교 클러스터 교육과정의 성과 및 과제: 보건 교과목 고등학생의 참여경험 (Effects and Challenges of Cluster Curriculum of Gyeonggi-do Province in Korea: High School Students' Participation Experience in Health)

  • 본 연구는 보건 클러스터 교육과정에 참여한 고등학생들의 경험을 통해 클러스터 교육과정의 성과 및 과제를 분석한 질적연구이다. 연구결과 '경쟁적 환경에서 최선의 선택', '보건에 대한 인식의 변화', '다양한 보건세계에 대해 경험해 보고 싶은 욕구', '비정규 교과과정 운영의 한계', '기분 좋은 상상을 하게 됨'의 주제가 도출되었다. 본 연구를 통해 클러스터 교육과정에 참여한 학생들의 보건에 대한 인식이 긍정적으로 변화되고, 보건의료계열에 대한 정보습득을 통해 진로의 방향설정 및 진로결정에 대한 자신감이 향상되는 성과는 있었으나, 수업운영 및 실습을 포함한 보건의료의 세부전공에 대한 교과내용의 보완은 개선해 나가야 할 과제로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 제기된 성과 및 과제를 공유함으로써 진로교육의 정책적 대안이 마련되어야 함을 제언한다.

프랙탈의 고등학교 수학교육과정에의 도입가능성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Possibility of Introduction of Fractals to the High School Mathematics Curriculum)

  • We seek the possibility of introduction of Fractals to the high school math. curriculum through identifying Fractals teaching programs appropriate for the scopes and sequences in math. education for the high school students. We presented the contents of Fractal theory suitable for the high school students. The following subjects were chosen to be introduced; self-similarity, Fractal dimension, Cantor set, Sierpinsky triangle, Sierpinsky carpel Koch curve, Koch island, perimeter estimate of rugged profiles drawn on paper, and chaos game. We developed the working papers and the criteria for appraisal. Each working paper focuses on the activities in which students can solve the given problems, understanding the characteristics and ideas of Fractals. The working papers were given to the second year students who take science course, and the degree of achievements were analyzed based on the appraisal criteria. The results show that it is possible to introduce Fractals to the high school students.

Cross-lagged Autoregressive Model을 적용한 청소년의 학업성취와 자아존중감 간 종단관계연구 (Longitudinal Relationships between Academic Achievement and Self-Esteem Using Cross-Lagged Autoregressive Modeling)

  • This longitudinal study investigated the causal relationships between academic achievement and self-esteem using data from a 4-year investigation(2003-2006). Academic achievements and self-esteem were assessed for a sample of adolescents (male 187, female 201) in KYPS (Korea Youth Panel Survey). Cross-lagged autoregressive analyses indicated that for academic achievement and self-esteem, these two variables were reciprocally interrelated in middle school. However, thereafter, middle school 3rd grade students' self-esteem influenced high school 1st grade students' academic achievement, while high school 1st grade students' academic achievement influenced high school 2nd grade students' self-esteem.

중학생의 인터넷 중독에 영향을 미치는 스트레스 요인 분석 (The Analysis of Stress Factors Affecting Internet Addiction of Middle School Students)

  • This paper studies internet addiction and the levels of distressful stresses of middle school students based on their sexualities and grades. The paper also analyzes distressful stress factors affecting internet addiction and tests internet addiction differences by their levels of distressful stresses. The results indicates that there are statistically significant differences in internet addiction by their distressful stresses levels. The research holds that distressful stresses in their academic achievements and their family lives are significant factors explaining internet addiction of middle school students.

  • In this study, the kindergarten teachers and elementary school teachers were surveyed to see the level relevance of the kindergarten and primary school curriculums. As a result, first, the kindergarten curriculum was generally appeared appropriate to the level of kindergarten students. However, in practice, a significant amount of the first grade curriculum were taught in the kindergarten. Second, the variation of mathematical abilities among the begining students was very large, and this variation also affected the students' achievements. Third, both kindergarten teachers and elementary school teachers wished for adjustments of the level of mathematics curriculum.

학생의 수학 성취도와 학교의 연대 책임: 다수준 분석 방법의 적용 (A Multilevel Study of Collective Responsibility: Its Effect on Student's Mathematics Achievement)

  • Schools are expected to ultimately moderate the difference of inequality issues among social groups and reduce the achievement gaps. This study investigates this expectation, in particular, how students' mathematics achievements are influenced by their parents' education at the individual level and by collective responsibility for teaching at the school level as well as the interaction of the two. Using a two-level hierarchical linear model, this study indicates that a school collective responsibility has a larger positive effect on students' mathematics achievement when their parents' education level is high. This means that school's collective responsibility accelerates inequity in students' mathematics achievement. Knowing that collective responsibility has less of an effect on students whose parents' education is not high, researchers, schools, and school districts should continue to search for school effects that have more of a positive impact on the relationship between mathematics achievement for students whose parents' education is not high in order to have more equitable results for all students.

창원시 중학교 학력수준 분석 및 개선 방안 모색 (Analysis and Improvement Strategies of Academic Achievement of Middle School in Changwon City)

  • 이 논문에서는 현재 창원시 중학교의 학력수준을 분석하고, 향후 창원시 중학교 학력수준 개선방안을 탐색하였다. 분석에 활용한 자료는 학교 알리미 사이트(www.schoolinfo.go.kr)에 공개된 2013년도부터 2016년까지의 창원시 중학교 학생들의 국가수준 학업성취도 평가 결과이다. 분석결과, 첫째, 창원시 중학교의 학력수준은 인구 규모가 비슷한 광주, 대전, 울산광역시의 학력수준보다 높지 않음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 창원시내 중학교 간 학력 수준이 년도에 따라 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 창원시 중학교의 학력 수준은 창원시 구(區)별로 차이가 있었다. 넷째, 창원시 중학교 간 학력 차이는 공 사립별로, 단성(單性)학교와 남녀 공학 간에도 존재하였다. 이러한 분석결과에 근거하여 이 논문에서는 보통학력 이상 비율이 낮은 학교들은 보통학력 이상 비율을 높일 수 있는 방안을 강구해야 하고, 기초학력 미달 학생의 비율이 높은 학교는 무엇보다도 기초학력 미달 학생을 해소하려는 노력을 기울여야 함을 제안하였다.

PMP(Personal Multimedia Player) 학습자의 기본심리욕구 요인이 학습만족과 학습전이를 통해 학업성취도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of PMP Learner Basic Psychological Need factor on Academic Achievements through Learning Satisfaction and Learning Transfer)

  • The recent entry into information society as well as the development and universalization of the Internet through rapid development of ICT technology produced a new educational method called PMP learning. PMP learning overcomes restrictions of previous education methods in terms of time and space and allows the learners to customize their learning environments according to their leads, providing voluntary education that centers on the learners. This study aims to verify the causal relationship in academic achievement of PMP learners through the theory of basic psychological desire, learning satisfaction, and learning metastasis. In order to accomplish this, a study model which applies perceived autonomy, perceived competence, and perceived relationship, which are major variables of the theory of basic psychological desire, was presented. For practical verification of the study model, survey analysis was conducted for students of R High School in Hamyang. Through this, the study aims to provide basic materials for improving the academic achievement of learners in PMP learning. It also plans to suggest educational effects that can be obtained by supporting intrinsic motivation of learners.
