Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among circadian typology, bipolarity and life satisfaction of university students. Methods A total 1232 participants completed questionnaires, which included Composite Scale of Morningness (CSM), Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), and Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ). Statistical analyses were done using correlation analysis, and analysis of covariance. Results The CSM score was positively associated with SWLS score (r = 0.232 ; p < 0.001). The morningness group has higher life satisfaction than the eveningness group (p < 0.001). The eveningness group has higher bipolarity than the morningness group (p < 0.001). The CSM score was negatively associated with MDQ score (r = -0.128 ; p < 0.001). Conclusions Bipolarity and life satisfaction were associated with circadian typology. Morningness was the important determinant of life satisfaction and bipolarity.

Purpose: This study was to investigate nursing professionalism and job satisfaction of nurses in general hospital. The subjects were 806 nurses in 8 general hospitals where had more than 400 beds. Method: The data was collected from April 21, 2004 to May 6, 2004 using a structured Questionnaire and analyzed with frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviations, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test and Pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS of window V. 10.0 program. Result: The mean score of nursing professionalism was 3.67. In each realm, the score of social benefit promotion was the highest as 4.14 and that of autonomy was the lowest as 3.19. The mean score of job satisfaction was 2.74. In each realm, the score of interaction was the highest as 3.26 and that of wage was the lowest as 2.20. Nursing professionalism was significantly different according to age, academic qualification, work experience and position. And job satisfaction was significantly different according to age, religion, work experience, position and department. Nursing professionalism had a significant correlation with job satisfaction (r=.257, p<.001). Conclusions: When the Autonomy in nursing job performance, well-defined work limit were guaranteed in the hospital, nurses' professionalism will be enhance. It is recommended that the strategies about nurse's long-term service and efficient hospital administration should be needed for nurse's job satisfaction.

Purpose: This study is a descriptive study to explore the effects of work performance, perceived organization support, and personal coping resources on job satisfaction of infusion nurses in Korea. Methods: The participants of this study were 155 infusion nurses in 19 general hospitals and advanced general hospitals in Korea. Data were collected from January to March 2018 using a structured questionnaire and analyzed with the SPSS software version 23. Results: The participants' job satisfaction score was 3.01, their work performance score was 3.60, their perceived organization support score was 2.83, and their personal coping resources score was 3.53. The regression model for job satisfaction was significant (F=56.10, p<.001), and the total explanatory power was 52%. The variables affecting job satisfaction were personal coping resources (${\beta}=.44$, p<.001), perceived organization support (${\beta}=.42$, p<.001), and working locations (${\beta}=.13$, p=.028). Conclusion: To increase job satisfaction of infusion nurses, boosting strategies for personal coping resources, perceived organization support, and examination of work performance characteristics of each local area should be considered. In addition, development of customized programs is needed, focusing on infusion nurse personnel and job characteristics.
Purposes of the study were to : (a) measure the levels of job satisfaction, (b) investigate the degree of job characteristics, (c) determine the levels of organizational commitment, (d) investigate relationships between demographic variables and job satisfaction, and (e) examine the relationship between organizational commitment, job characteristics and job satisfaction. Questionnaire was developed and mailed to 300 dietitians who are currently working in school, hospital and industry foodservices. A total of 177 questionnaires were usuable : resulting in a 59% response rate. Results of this study were summarized follows : 1. Approximately half of the respondents(46.9%) indicated that the were 26 to 30 years old. A total of 112 respondents(63.3%) were unmarried. A bachelor's degree was reported as the most common education level(46.9%) while 6.2% of the participants reported a master's degree. Years of employment in professional practices were ranged from 2 to 5. Approximately 40% of the respondents had earned over \900,000 per month. 2. Work itself of the JDI was with the highest job satisfaction mean score followed by supervision, co-workers, wage and promotion. 3. In total job satisfaction score, dietitians in school foodservices were a significant lower than dietitians in industry foodservices and hospital foodservices. 4. A significant relationship was found for demographic factors and four job facets in terms of job itself, co-workers, and promotion. 5. A work itself was the most improtant facet th the dietitian followed by wage and promotion. 6. Task identity of the JCI facets was the most prevalent job characteristics followed by variety, dealing with others, feedback and friendship. 7. Three groups of dietitians had no significant difference in total job characteristics score. 8. A group of dietitians with a higher job satisfaction score had a significant higher score in job variety and job autonomy. 9. Organizational commitment mean score with dietitians was 1.88. 10. Job satisfaction score for five facets and total job satisfaction were significantly correlated with organizational commitment score.11. Job charateristics with job variety, job autonomy, feedback, task identity, friendship were positively correlated with organizational commitment.
Purpose: This study was purposed to provide basic data for developing future health promotion programs by comparing health-promoting behavior, life satisfaction and self-esteem between the Korean elderly and the American-Korean elderly. Methods: The subjects were volunteer participants of 120 elders in the Gyeongsan City in Korea and 120 elders in the state of Washington in the U.S. Tools used in this study were Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile (47 items), Life Satisfaction Scale (20 items) and Self-Esteem Scale (10 items). To analyze data, this study used frequency, percentage, chi-square test, t-test, Kendal tau test, Pearson's correlation coefficient with SPSS program. Results: 1) The average score of health-promoting behaviors was 3.21 in Koreans and 3.50 in American-Koreans, showing a significant difference between the two groups. 2) The sub-scales that got the highest score of health-promoting behaviors were self-actualization and nutrition(M=3.41) in Koreans and nutrition(M=3.61) in American-Koreans, and that with the lowest score was exercise in both groups(2.89 in Koreans and 3.02 in American-Koreans). 3) The average score for life satisfaction was 2.76 in Koreans and 3.06 in American-Koreans, showing a significant difference between the two groups. 4) The average score for self-esteem was 3.39 in Koreans and 3.09 in American-Koreans, showing a insignificant difference between the two groups. 5) Health-promoting behaviors were positively related to life satisfaction and self-esteem. Life satisfaction was positively related to self-esteem in both groups. Conclusions: According to the results of this study, the health-promoting behaviors of Korean and American-Korean elders strongly correlated with life satisfaction and self-esteem. Therefore, health promoting programs that enhance life satisfaction and self-esteem should be developed in order to promote the elderly's healthy lifestyle.
The purposes of this study were to Investigate the relationships between knitwear purchase motive and female consumer satisfaction, and to reveal how knitwear purchase motives and demographic variables influence the consumer satisfaction. The subjects were 263 female college students and working women residing in metropolitan area of Seoul. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$-reliability coefficient, t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Five dimensions of knitwear purchase motive were derived by factor analysis; expressive, others' influence/deficiency, quality/social, situation, and utility motive. Consumer satisfactions were classified into 3 dimensions; appearance, practicality, and quality satisfaction. The expressive motive had significant positive relationships with the satisfaction of appearance and quality satisfaction. The quality/social motive had positive relationships with the satisfaction of appearance, practicality, and quality. Utility motive had positive relationships with the satisfaction of appearance and practicality. Working women had higher situation motive and quality/social motive than the female college students had. The higher the age was, the higher the score on situation motive and quality/social motive were. The higher the social class was, the higher the score on expressive motive was. The higher the income was, the higher the score on appearance, practicality, and quality satisfaction were. The consumer satisfaction of knitwear was influenced most by the quality/social motive and next by the expressive motive, the income, and the utility motive in order.
Purpose: This study aimed to analyze factors that influence the job satisfaction of physical therapists working in hospitals. Methods: The study was done using a self-administered questionnaire associated with job satisfaction, which was completed by 352 physical therapists working in hospitals. Results: The average job satisfaction score was 3.16. Sub-items scores for job satisfaction were higher for overall satisfaction (3.21) and lower for job satisfaction of achievement (3.12) than the average score. Job satisfaction of subjects showed statistically significant differences with regard to differences in sex, marriage, type of hospital, year of total career, type of patients and motivation level (p<0.05). The average job stress score was 2.38. The sub-items of job stress consisted of problems pertaining to physical environment (2.28), job demand (2.54), job autonomy (2.31), social support (2.14), job instability (2.36), organized management system (2.44), inner motive (2.24), and job culture (2.26). Multiple regression analysis revealed that job satisfaction became significantly lower with increasing levels of job stress. Conclusion: These results suggest that the job stress of physical therapists is closely related to their job satisfaction. An effort to reduce job stress may be helpful in improving the health and quality of life of physical therapists who work in hospitals.
This study was conducted to investigate mean height, weight, food preference and satisfaction of 231 children in preschool in four different regions(Susung-ku, Jung-ku, Nam-ku, Dalseo-ku) of Taegu. Mean height of the children was increased by priority of Jung-ku, Dalseo-ku, Susung-ku and Nam-ku, and mean weight was of Jung-ku, Susung-ku, Dalseo-ku and Nam-ku. In food preference, boiled rice had the highest score of cooked rices in all of the different regions, jajangmyun had the highest score of noodles in Susung-ku, Jung-ku and Dalseo-ku. Cake had the hightest score of breads in Susung-ku and had significantly difference all the kind of other lesions. Songpyun had the highest score of rice cakes in all four regions. Jangjorim had the highest score of jorim foods in all four regions, but anchovy and green pepper jorim had the lowest. Toasted lavor and steamed chicken had the highest of toasted foods and steamed foods, respectively. Salads had the highest of muchimryu cooked potherbs and salads in all regions but kimchi and jangachi had low scores. Sujungkua had the lowest scores of beverages in all regions, but chocolate had the highest scores of cookies. In food intake satisfaction according to the regions, regularity, variety, hygiene, amount, and quantity of meal had the highest in dalseo-ku. Food temperature was highest in susung-ku. There was a direct correlation between type of housing and satisfaction in diversity of foods.
The purpose of this study was to contribute to the relatively neglected area of out -patient satisfaction with physical therapy service by measuring and determining the factors affecting patient satisfaction in the Andong region. One hundred and forty-five subjects (81 males and 64 females) at 11 facilities with a mean age of 39.2 years (SD=16.2) responded to the satisfaction questionnaire. Each questionnaire contained a set of demographic questions and 19 patient satisfaction items. Cronbach's alpha test of reliability was used as the measure of internal consistency . The satisfaction scale had a good reliability coefficient : Cronbach's alpha=.8688. The average satisfaction score (minimum score=19, maximum score=95) was 75.4 ranging from 38 to 90. Respondent variables including sex, education, marital status, religion, medical security, average monthly income, and number of physical therapy out-patient department treatment visits were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and ANCOVA. Satisfaction with the service was largely unrelated to mallets of sex, education, occupation, or other demographic variables. However, marital status, age, average monthly income, and number of treatment visits in the out-patient department were significantly related to patient satisfaction. The analysis presented here could be replicatied with a larger sample in other areas. Other factors such as physical therapist availability, physical therapist competence, accessibility, waiting time, and atmosphere of the treatment area should be considered in further studies.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing job satisfaction in hospice nurses. The focus was on emotional labor and burnout. Methods: Between September 30 and October 18, 2013, hospice nurses (n=63) in 5 hospitals in 4 cities completed measures of emotional labor, burnout, and job satisfaction. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression with the SPSS/Win 21.0 program. Results: The mean score per item for emotional labor was 3.0, the mean of burnout score was 2.7, and the mean job satisfaction score was 3.4. Emotional labor showed a positive correlation with burnout (r=.61), and a negative correlation with job satisfaction (r=-.52). Burnout showed a negative correlation with job satisfaction (r=-.64). The factors influencing job satisfaction were burnout (${\beta}$=-.65, p<.001) and clinical experience (${\beta}$=.25, p=.007). Burnout and clinical experience explained 57.0% of the variance in hospice nurses' job satisfaction. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate a need to develop strategies to prevent burnout and control emotional labor in order to increase job satisfaction for hospice nurses.
