재래시장 전기안전 감시시스템 개발 (Development of Electrical Safety Monitoring System for Conventional Markets)

  • This paper in order to reduce the electric disaster damage which is caused by with electric equipment of conventional markets is introduced the electric safety monitoring system which is suitable in conventional markets. Investigate the actual conditions about electrical equipment of conventional markets, electrical safety monitoring system was constructed. Electrical safety monitoring system to verify the performance of the experiment was to build a test bed. Research results will be used with the data for the reliability security of the electric safe system operation which follows in the conventional markets actual proof equipment construction which will be advanced.

  • Most frequently happening accident in construction working sites was fall in high and dangerous position. Most of fall accidents resulted in serious injury or death of workers. In this research was analysed recent safety accidents for three years from 2010' to 2012 and was developed the safety equipment to be able to efficiently prevent and reduce fall accidents. This new safety equipment can be easily fixed to the reinforcing steel or steel girder etc by the fixing hook of life saving line and is comfortablely portable because of its light weight. The questionnaire study of the developed equipment was performed to investigate the problem in the view point of using in real sites. The result shows that the new fixing fook can reduce fall accidents and satisfy construction workers.

고속철도 횡단 강거더 설치공사에서의 BIM 기반 가상건설 장비운영 시뮬레이션의 적용 (BIM-Based Virtual Construction Simulation for Steel Girder Installation Crossing the High-Speed Railway)

  • The interest in the Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology has risen remarkably due to the effects on construction work period reduction, cost reduction, work safety improvement, and other factors. In civil engineering field, BIM applications mainly focus on data modeling and virtual construction. In this study, we present the BIM-based virtual construction and analyze the effects of BIM for the railway facilities so that the conventional approach to the equipment operation plan can be improved in order to prevent safety accidents which can result from unclear information during the operation plan. The BIM-based virtual construction technology is applied to establish the construction plan for the site with constraints, the installation of steel girder needs to be completed, avoiding interference with the existing high-speed railway operation within a given limited time. A virtual construction model consisting of topography, structures, equipments, and avatar was built and more detailed model, including safety guard rails, was then created. Specifications of the construction equipment were input as a database, and the virtual construction model was manipulated in the equipment operation planning. Through the BIM-based virtual construction, including the verification of alternative construction method, 311 million won was saved and the construction period was shortened by 87 days compared to the original plan. In addition, it was shown that the interest and participation of the construction workers can be increased by providing the 3D virtual scene for real construction work and various safety hazards occurring during equipment operation can be effectively removed in advance by the interactive worker education.

가설기자재 관련 안전인증제도 실태조사 및 개선방안 (Survey and Improvement Scheme for Safety Certification System of Temporary Equipment and Materials)

  • 본 연구는 국내 외 가설기자재 관련 제도 및 기준 등을 비교 분석하여 가설기자재 안전인증제도 개선방안을 제시하며 건설 산업에서 사용 중인 가설기자재의 안전성을 확보하고자 한다. 현재 사용되는 가설기자재 안전인증제도 이행실태를 파악하기 위하여 생산 임대 사용의 가설기자재 관련 종사자에 대해 인터넷 설문조사 및 현장방문 인터뷰를 실시하여 통계분석을 수행하고 안전인증제도 실태조사 및 개선방안을 제시하였다. 안전인증제도는 2009년부터 시행되고 있지만 한국산업안전보건공단의 '건설중대재해 사례와 대책'을 확인하면 건설재해는 매년 증가하는 추세이다. 가설기자재 관련 종사자의 안전인증품목 적절성에 대한 응답은 '예(36%)', '아니오(30%)', '잘 모르겠음(35%)'으로 현행 안전인증제도 적합성에 대한 긍정적인 응답률이 절반에도 미치지 못하는 것을 알 수 있다. 현재의 가설기자재 안전인증제도는 건설 환경의 변화를 따라가지 못하고 있다는 의견이 많았다. 또한 국외 가설기자재 및 신소재 신제품에 대한 인증 방안 모색과 재사용가설기자재 자율등록제 제도 보완 및 안전성 증대 방안이 필요할 것으로 나타난다. 본 연구를 통하여 현행 안전인증제도의 인증대상 품목, 인증규격의 현실 적합성 및 인증방법 등을 검토한 후 안전인증제도 개선방향을 제시 하였다.

Analyzing Safety Factors of Swimming Pool

  • Purpose: Swimming industry is improving faster than the other types of sport industries and populations of participating swimming are promptly increasing. Lack of recognition of fire safety in swimming facilities is issues related-studies has only recently begun to pay attention. This study is to review and extract fire safety factors for managing swimming pool. Research design, data, and methodology: The study reviewed related-ordinances, governmental documents, and studies discussing safety management of sport facility. Given the literature review, the study produced an initial construct presenting items and factors including fire safety elements and experts' review were conducted to ensure conceptual validity. Finally, the study generated the final factors and subitems representing fire safety elements for swimming pool management. Results: The study confirms factors and elements as follows: the study identifies fire safety equipments as first factors presenting fire extinguisher' place, its proper run, check list and so forth, Second factor is warning system including fire warning equipment, its proper operation, sprinkler and its proper operation, switch and lamp of emergency panel and their proper run and so on. Third factor is evacuation system including a fire exit, exit sign, broadcasting equipment, and their proper operation, and so on. The other factors are an electronic equipment and its subelements, gas management including safety management of LPG, gas valve, pipe, and fire prevention facility including a fire door and its proper operating. Conclusions: Regarding safety management of swimming pool, further discussions and implications were made, and future directions for related-studies were discussed.

Vision-Based Identification of Personal Protective Equipment Wearing

  • Construction is one of the most dangerous job sectors, which reports tens of thousands of time-loss injuries and deaths every year. These disasters incur delays and additional costs to the projects. The safety management needs to be on the top primary tasks throughout the construction to avoid fatal accidents and to foster safe working environments. One of the safety regulations that are frequently violated is the wearing of personal protection equipment (PPE). In order to facilitate monitoring of the compliance of the PPE wearing regulations, this paper proposes a vision based method that automatically identifies whether workers wear hard hats and safety vests. The method involves three modules - human body detection, identification of safety vest wearing, and hard hat detection. First, human bodies are detected in the video frames captured by real-time on-site construction cameras. The detected human bodies are classified into with/without wearing safety vests based on the color features of their upper parts. Finally, hard hats are detected on the nearby regions of the detected human bodies and the locations of the detected hard hats and human bodies are correlated to reveal their corresponding matches. In this way, the proposed method provides any appearance of the workers without wearing hard hats or safety vests. The method has been tested on onsite videos and the results signify its potential to facilitate site safety monitoring.

차량탑재형 고소작업대의 재해분석을 통한 취약 구조부의 안전성 향상 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety Improvement of Structural Weakness Using Accident Analysis for Vehicle-Mounted MEWP)

  • The findings were summarized as follows. The safety check by manufacturer showed that 6 of 13 companies are over the average occurrence of defects. It was expected that there would be a difference between manufacturing technology capability and production system of each manufacturer. Consequently, manufacturers should institutionally improve and strengthen certification items for the upward standardization of safety certification before factory. Second, the safety check by year showed that the results of this study accord with those of previous studies on defect time. Consequently, manufacturers should classify the 3-year-old equipment for vehicle-mounted MEWP into a special check subject to do a nondestructive test according to proven results, and also reflect the test in a safety test system to do regular preventive activities of equipment defects. Third, the safety check by part showed that the boom and outrigger parts of vehicle-mounted MEWP have the most defects. Stress concentration resulted in defects as the boom part was most frequently operated in the structural parts for a real work. To prevent this, it is suitable to improve the hardness of boom materials. The outrigger part needs improvement in safety devices with materials. As an outrigger supports the overturning moment of equipment, it is most affected by its load based on the operating radius, resulting in fatigue crack.

한국형 틸팅열차 ATP장치 예비위험원분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the PHA of ATP Equipment for the Korean Tilting Train)

  • In this paper, we derive the hazard which is a criterion of safety assurance by PHA for the ATP equipped in Korea Tilting Train. The ATP onboard equipment in Korea Tilting Train was introduced as ETCS Level l(which is ETCS specification). Also, the ATP trackside equipment was introduced as a ETCS SRS(System Requirement Specification) 2.2.2 and it has a target for commercial operation in 2009 late. In IEC 62278(EN50126), it recommend of PHA to derive a hazard of target system in concept establishment step and estimate if it can control as a tolerable level and then derive safety case to control the hazard by lifecycle. Therefore, we indicate the hazard using criterion of safety assurance by PHA using FRS (Functional Requirement Specification) 5.0. which is a upper criterion than SRS. The hazard of ATP onboard equipment derived in Korea Tilting Train will be able to use as ATP functional hazards of unified onboard equipment in G7 which is a multiple unit and preliminary hazards of ATP onboard equipment in NEL drived by Korail.

  • Recently, as interest in personal hygiene has increased due to the community spread of COVID-19 and variant viruses, fixed and potable UV germicidal equipment to sterilize indoor spaces and hand-held UV germicidal equipment to sterilize household items such as masks and mobile phones are continuously being developed and sold. However, the development and sales of the product are difficult because appropriate testing methods have not yet been established. In this situation, if an uncertified product is distributed in the market, it can cause serious harm to consumers. In this study, we investigate the photobiological risks and safety devices against UV exposure of UV germicidal equipment distributed domestically, and propose appropriate test methods for portable UV germicidal equipment based on the research results.

  • Inundation of substation and underground power equipment(pad-mounted transformers & switches) breaks out every summer season in low-lying downtown and low-lying shore by localized heavy rain, typhoon and tidal wave. In case inundation of substation and underground power equipment, it occurs a great economic loss owing to recovery time and events of electric shock occur by inundation electrical facility. So we search the damage situation and installation situations. Therefore we propose the necessity of protection of flood at low-lying downtown and low-tying shore. This paper will be used to present a reform proposal of electrical related law about flood protection of existing power equipment.
