한국·중국·일본의 도시경관조명 현황 및 정책 분석 - 서울, 상하이, 요코하마를 중심으로 - (An Analysis on the Outdoor Lighting Situation and Policies in Korea, China, Japan - focused on Seoul, Shanghai, Yokohama-)

  • It is required impressive expression of urban night environment that makes city as the safe pleasant, convenient place for the economic activity, cultural pleasure and landmarks. This study aims to establish the proper direction to the outdoor lighting in Seoul by analyzing and comparing the lighting situation and policies among Seoul, Shanghai and Yokohama. 1986 Asian Game and 1988 Olympic Game became very important role of activation of outdoor lighting in Korea. Then, outdoor lighting were facilitated in the cultural heritages and bridges along Han river. Millenium Light Plan, Outdoor Lighting Field of Seoul Architectural Award, 2002 Lightscape Local Plan, hosting 2002 World Cup have been good opportunities for the improvement of outdoor lighting in Seoul. In China, outdoor lighting was introduced to the city of Shanghai according to the orders of the president in 1988. Outdoor lighting of Shanghai have created unique lighting with beautiful color and intensive brightness under the direction of city government. Outdoor lighting of Shanghai needs the standard of lighting design and improvement of lighting facilities. Outdoor lighting was introduced to Japan with 1964 Tokyo Olympic games. Urban outdoor lighting plan was carried out in Yokohama in 1986. In Yokohama, outdoor lighting of civilian and public facilities have been harmonized. And the city government of Yokohama established the committee of promotion of outdoor lighting in its government to support and manage the outdoor lighting with corporation of civilian organization. As the result of comparative analysis on Seoul, Shanghai, Yokohama, Seoul Metropolitan Government needs the criteria and incentive system of outdoor lighting.

Studies on mycotoxins using LC-MS/MS for the forage produced in Incheon

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the contamination level of representative mycotoxins that have adverse effects on livestock by using LC-MS/MS method and to utilize the results as basic data for the establishment of quality control system for feed, and to provide information on production and storage. A total of nine mycotoxins, including aflatoxin $B_1$, aflatoxin $B_2$, aflatoxin $G_1$, aflatoxin $G_2$, ochratoxin A, fumonisin $B_1$, fumonisin $B_2$, deoxynivalenol (DON), zearalenone (ZEN) were simultaneously analyzed in LC-MS/MS under ESI positive mode. Fumonisin $B_1$ and fumonisin $B_2$ were detected from 3 cases of 75 forage produced in Incheon area, the detection rate was 4.0%. The detection concentration was 0.01~0.02 mg/kg, which was lower than the domestic recommended limit. Fumonisins were detected in a slightly different manner from the results of mycotoxin studies reported in Korea, which is attributed to the high temperature and dry summer weather of the year. The result of LC-MS/MS method performance of 9 mycotoxins, the recovery of DON was quite low as $41.53{\pm}3.91%$ that is not suitable for simultaneous analysis. This is probably due to that the extract solution used in this study was not suitable for the extraction of DON, along with the characteristics of a very dry forage. For the study of mycotoxins in Incheon area forage for the first time, further investigation is needed for the safe supply of livestock products.

도시가스용 퍼지 버너 개발에 관한 연구(II) (A study on the Development of Purge Burner for City Gas)

  • A combustion project was completed regarding the development of a high-flow-rate purge burner in cooperation with three city gas companies(Pusan, Taegu, Samchulli). The project, started in May 1991, aimed at purging the line-packed-gas safely and quickly before getting into gas pipe working or relocation. According to the results, the purging noise is less than 80dB due to silencer screen. multi-nozzle and outlet inserted tube employed. In addition, the developed burner shows an increased work efficiency of 40-50% more as compared to the performance of conventional purge equipments. The project result is regarded as the first high-flow-rate purge burner developed within Korea. contributing to shortening purge hours, safe field work and easiness of purge site selection.

환경가구 디자인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of Environmental Furniture)

  • Environmental furniture comprises an independent design branch as distinguished from he design of street furniture. Environmental furniture helps people enjoy outdoor relaxation and cultural activities by creating convenient facilities and plays a part as the medium connecting environment and living. As a tool effecting all outdoor living conditions including home and public environment, it helps people lead a convenient and safe outdoor life. It is an important element that contributes to the image of outdoor scenery. Therefore, the design of environmental furniture should : 1)consider environment including 3R(Recycle, Reuse and Reduce) which makes harmony with nature without destroying it. 2)seek qualitative improvement by using environmental friendly materials and continuously developing new materials. 3)be assisted by the administrative support from the government to make the environmental furniture design an integral part of the city plan. The quality of a city environment will be greatly improved when people's interest in and their changed view towards environmental furniture is effected.

  • 도시종합정보시스템구축의 목적은 언제, 어디서나, 누구라도, 원하는 정보를 쉽게 입수 가능한 정보환경을 구축하여 도시의 활성화를 도모하고 문화와 정보가 어우러지는 친환경사회의 구현과 도시 안전성을 제고하는 미래지향적인 최첨단의 정보화도시를 창출하는데 있다. 주된 연구내용으로는 도시종합정보시스템의 개념정립과 구성요소, 그리고 도시종합정보시스템의 구축계획에 대해서 현재의 콘텐츠를 살펴보고 매체별 특징에 맞는 시스템구축계획을 논의 하였다.

  • In this study, the status of global advanced air mobility (AAM) was investigated to derive information and communications technologies (ICTs) that should be prepared according to directions of domestic AAM development. AAM is an urban air traffic system for moving from city to city by electric vertical take-off and landing or personal aircraft. It is expected to establish a three-dimensional air traffic system that can solve ground traffic congestion caused by the rapid global urbanization. With the full-scale commercialization of AAM solutions, high-density air traffic is expected, and with the advent of the personal air vehicle (PAV), the flight space usage is expected to expand. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a safe AAM service through early research on core ICTs for autonomous flight.

  • Railroad, a superior mode of public transportation provides safe, efficient, speedy, comfortable and economical service, has fundamentally different characteristics from airplanes, ships and cars. Among the unique characteristics of a railroad is the fact that it operates on fixed track with multiple car trains. The subway system was first selected as the best solution to difficult automobile traffic conditions and environmental problems. Seoul subway no.1line (Jongno line) was opened for service on August 15, 1974. Seoul city has completed and now operates eight subway lines (286.7km) since 1974. At present the subways operate in Busan, Daegu and Incheon city, and are under construction in Gwangju and Daejeon city. The power source for subway trains has been electricity since 1896, and power supply systems are the third rail type and/or the catenary system. The typical catenary system is the rigid bar type. R-bar and T-bar are used in the rigid bar type of catenary system, and the two types of R-bar and T-bar are uesd in Korea also. R-bar is used only for AC 25kV power supply and T-bar for DC 1,500V. From 30 years of subway experience I would like to suggest the most economic catenary system to ensure of safety, reliability and expediency for the railway lines to be constructed and the forthcoming replacement due to the life cycle after studying and analysing the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of R-bar and T-bar.

  • The underground space of the Banwoldang in Daegu is the private enterprise historical development project that Daegu City & The forth construction company of the Samsung, Kolon, Daewoo, Hwasung promote, and take a role as the underground bridgehead that links east and west of the Daegu as the lunction of the 2 subway line. Accordingly, the underground space of the Banwoldang in Daegu have a import significance in that not only the alternative of the solution about the simple commercial formation or the limited ground but also compose the important axis of the city develoment. But, When I see the variety of problems, especially see the negative import in Daegu, the solution of the problems is the large underlying cause that revitalize the city. Consequently, in the study I would like to analyze the characteristics of the large underground space and the directivity of the interior design, to assistant for the develement plan of the more safe, comfort underground space.

Sensitivity studies in spent fuel pool criticality safety analysis for APR-1400 nuclear power plants

  • A criticality safety analysis was performed for the APR-1400 spent fuel pool region-II to ensure the safe storage of spent fuel, with credit taken for depletion and in-rack neutron absorbers (Metamic panels). PLUS7 fuel assembly was modeled using TRITON-NEWT of SCALE-6.1. The burnup-dependent cross-section library was generated under limiting core-operating conditions with 5%-w U-235 initial enrichment. MCNP5 was used to evaluate the neutron multiplication factor in an infinite array of rack cells with the axially nonuniformly burnt PLUS7 assemblies under normal, abnormal, and accident conditions; including all biases and uncertainties. The main purpose of this study is to investigate reactivity variations due to the critical depletion and reactor operation parameters. The approach, assumptions, and modeling methods were verified by analyzing the contents of the most important fissile and the associated reactivity effects. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) guidance on k-eff being less than 1.0 for spent fuel pools filled with unborated water was the main criterion used in this study. It was found that assemblies with 49.0 GWd/MTU and 5.0 w/o U-235 initial enrichment loaded in Region-II satisfy this criterion. Moreover, it was found that the end effect resulted in a positive bias, thus ensuring its consideration.
