  • Studies on autonomous ships has received a lot of attention, recently. However, a study on autonomous navigation assistance service for Navigation Assistance Service(NAS) which is second item of Maritime Service Portfolio(MSP) suggested by IMO was not studied. Therefore, in this paper, we derive information items for autonomous navigation assistance service and research on a display system for displaying the items.

  • Since GPS receivers and INS algorithms do not work properly in the spinning vehicles due to change of the GPS signal and excess of the measurement limitation of the gyroscope, conventional GPS/INS integrated navigation systems do not provide accurate navigation outputs. This paper proposes a design method for GPS/INS integrated navigation systems of spinning vehicles. A special GPS receiver with a signal tracking loop for changed GPS signal caused by spinning and an INS with a roll estimation method are configured and the conventional integration filter is combined. The proposed method was verified through comparison of the navigation results. The result of the proposed method for the spinning vehicle was similar to that of the conventional navigation system without spinning.

Remote Navigation and Monitoring System for Mobile Robot Using Smart Phone (스마트 폰을 이용한 모바일로봇의 리모트 주행제어 시스템)

  • In this paper, using Zigbee-based wireless sensor networks and Lego MindStorms NXT robot, a remote monitoring and navigation system for mobile robot has been developed. Mobile robot can estimate its position using encoder values of its motor, but due to the existing friction and shortage of motor power etc., error occurs. To fix this problem and obtain more accurate position of mobile robot, a ultrasound module on wireless sensor networks has been used in this paper. To overcome disadvantages of ultrasound which include straightforwardness and narrow detection coverage, we rotate moving node attached to mobile robot by $360^{\circ}$ to measure each distance from four fixed nodes. Then location of mobile robot is estimated by triangulation using measured distance values. In addition, images are sent via a network using a USB Web camera to smart phone. On smart phones we can see location of robot, and images around places where robot navigates. And remote monitoring and navigation is possible by just clicking points at the map on smart phones.

  • Recently personal income level is rising. So, many people use the leisure lightweight aircraft and the population which enjoys a leisure is increasing. But as the leisure lightweight aircraft compares in the civil aircraft and the military aircraft, and it has a low price. So the equipment which it is loaded in the lightweight aircraft is not equipped. In this paper, we develop the air navigation for lightweight aircraft using the smart phone(iPhone, Android phone, Window mobile, BADA phone etc.) and the smart pad(iPad, Galaxy Tab etc.).

  • Among the failure cases of the existing navigation aids, the SW and operating system errors of the RTU, the embedded computer for navigation aids, account for about 10%. The causes of SW errors have an infinite number of cases, and it is impossible to correct them all. In this paper, we proposed a paravirtualized multi-OS Docker container utilization technique as a stable operation technique for smart navigational aids, which have recently increased the amount of computation and complexity of SW services that need to be managed. It is proposed to divide containers according to service type, expected load, and error frequency and load the service.

  • GNSS modernization and development is in progress throughout the globe, and it is focused on the addition of a new navigation signal. Accordingly, for the next-generation GNSS signals that have been developed or are under development, various combinations that are different from the existing GNSS signal structures can be introduced. In this regard, to design an advanced signal, it is essential to clearly understand the effects of the signal structure and design variables. In the present study, the effects of the GNSS spreading code period and GNSS data bit duration (i.e., signal design variables) on the signal processing performance were analyzed when the data bit transition was considered, based on selected GNSS signal design scenarios. In addition, a method of utilizing the obtained result for the design of a new GNSS signal was investigated.

  • Smart phone based navigation applications are very useful in everyday life. Cost-effective and user friendly navigation can be provided to the user by many applications available in market. Using the Smart phone these navigation applications provide accurate navigation for outdoor locations. But providing an accurate navigation underground space such as subway station is still a challenge. It is hence more convenient and appropriate for mobility services if the visitors could simply view the guidance of the subway station on their mobile phone, wherever and whenever it is needed. This study develops a algorithm for indoor navigation with the help of Augmented Reality(AR) and QR marker code from the entrance to the train platform for users. This indoor navigation uses AR and QR maker codes for two purposes: to provide the user link to the subway station location and to provide the current guidance details to the user. This Smart phone algorithm that uses a smart phone optical tool to decode the QR marker to determine the location information and provide guidance to the AR without indoor Maps. This algorithm also provides a module to guide mobility vulnerable to the Barrier Free route to destination.

  • According to IT technology has evolved, smart phone rapidly propagates for mobility. A smart phone user acquires useful information, but attackers generate various damage. For example, an attacker must distribute to expose the privacy of others. To solve this problem, various information security products are being developed. In addition, information security has been strengthened. In this paper, we propose a scheme for secure use of smart phone. For development of secure smart phone, the development processes should be secure. In addition, we propose an information security production certification system for secure smart phone security.

  • According to the development of the ubiquitous computing technic today, the sensor base system is becoming a big issue in IT fields. This study is to develop a smart weather watching system which allows us to carry out temperature measuring without regard to location and altitude using the sensor devices. this system is composed of the wireless receiver module(PC base) and the wireless measuring module(ATmega2560 base).
