Optimum Draft and Phasing of Double-Flap Wavemaker (Double-Flap 조파기의 설계 및 조파판의 최적 위상관계)

  • A method to determine the optimum drafts of waveboards of single and double-flap wavemaker is presented by using a linearized first-order wave theory and a linear regression method. A linear regression is verified to be quite simpler than the local disturbance consideration or regular-wave forming distance. It is pointed out that lower hinge should be deep enough to keep the upper flap vertical for a long wave length.

Root Nodule Specific Proteins of Alnus hirsuta (물오리나무(Alnus hirsuta)의 뿌리혹 특이 단백질)

  • Root nodule specific proteins of Alnus hirsuta were examined. SDS-PAGE pattern of the Alnus root nodule was simpler than that of soybean, showing five nodule specific proteins whose molecular weights were 48, 40, 36, 26 and 19 kD, respectively. Among them, 48 kD protein existed most abundantly and were composed of two subunits whose pI value were 4.0 and 4.3, respectively. The 48 kD protein seemed to be a heme containing protein based on reaction with diaminobenzidine. Although 19 kD protein was present in small amount, it was most similar to leghemoglobin in terms of its molecular weight.

  • Here we report a nano-sized polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (NPDLC) with an excellent scattering effect due to the maximized Mie scattering. We used a modified emulsification method combined with a limited coalescence mechanism. The fabrication process is simpler to obtain uniform nano-sized droplets rather than the conventional polymerizationinduced phase separation method.

  • In this note, some comments concerning the testing procedures for the problems of stochastic comparison, testing IFR and testing NBU ageing properties are presented showing that the tests proposed in Belzunce, Candel and Ruiz(1998) are cumbersome to calculate and do not have as good asymptotic Pittman efficacies as simpler others already in the literature. This is done via new presentations of the measures on which Belzunce et al. base their tests.

  • As the dynamics model for industrial robot is a mutural coupling of inertia, centrifugal force, gravity, etc it is very difficult to get solution to the question how it works. To control such complex non-linear features of the manipulator, it is required to develop a lot simpler algorithm on the real time.

It is needed to adopt the demands and the evaluations of the users, so that to develop user-centered games, yet easier and simpler, to increase their popularity and to improve their productivity. On this basis, the study presents the methods of improving game designs by repeating application of the assessment of the game, through the development of prototype in the Int stage of game project.

  • The singular value decomposition is a tool which is used to find a linear structure of reduced dimension and to give interpretation of the lower dimensional structure about multivariate data. In this paper the singular value decomposition is reviewed from both algebraic and geometric point of view and, is illustrated the way which the tool is used in the multivariate techniques finding a simpler geometric structure for the data.

  • Thermo motor that uses driving part as heating part is different from general fan heater. As it uses energy that drives rotor and generate heat at the same coil, it is simpler and cheaper than general fan heater. In this study, shaded-pole motor was used that is low cost and simple in spite of low efficiency.
