  • Recent construction in the field of 3D aversion is increasing interest in automation. This study is results about survey of the coastal landfill using automatic VRS-GPS surveying system. GPS is made with GRXI and SHC250 controller. Automatic surveying system is composed of DPS module, geomagnetism sensor, bluetooth, gimbals, IMU, etc and enables an automatic driving via entered into a route of position. The developed auto surveying system has installed the front and camera for vertical axis and can grasp situation of surveying with smartphone in real time. The comparative result between surveyed result with repetition method auto VRS-GPS surveying system observed surveyed result with VRS-RTK has shown that average error of x-axis is 0.009m, average error of y-axis, 0.010m and average error of height, 0.002m. This possibility was confirmed that field application.

  • The precise leveling is one of the important means of investigating fluctuation of earth's crust and foreknowing earthquake. This paper aims to study refraction errors developed in the inclined leveling route. Based on Kukkamaki's theory and data of weather, the author devised an experiment to test how Kukkimaki's corrections improved the discrepancy between fore and back sight leveling in actual slope. Additionally, through the repeated observation between fore and back sight leveling at one fixed station in the slope(2/100-4/100) and the experimental tests of continuous inclined leveling route, the author studied the effects and charcteristics of refraction. Especially, in inclined leveling(2/100-4/100), the distance of line of sight is ideally to be 25-30 m to minimize refraction errors. From the results of experimental tests of continuous inclined leveling route, the values of calculation by Kukkimaki's corrections were found to be nearly in accord with the values of observation.

  • In this study, 3D building reconstruction and road design were performed using LiDAR data, digital map and airborne digital image. Information for tourism was extracted from digital maps (scale: 1/5,000) of Jeju Island, and then route of the road was determined for road design. Reconstructed buildings, aerial image and designed road were overlayed with tourism information for 3D simulation. In addition, landscape analysis was performed and result of the road design was visualized.

  • In this study, point gravity was measured to achieve terrestrid gravity data and the gravity is important element in precise geoid modelling. Surveys the relative gravity of 56 stations on 1st level route. In addition, it calculates gravity values, analysis gravity survey results using tidal correction, drift correction, datum-free adjustment. These point gravity data could be contribute in development of precise geoid model.

  • Development of the shore in western sea is decreasing of silt and is threatening sea ecosystem. Large size land-reclamation work by industralization have caused weather changes and sea changes, and have generated much changes topography of sea bottom and coastline. Also, It is influencing to route of ship. In this research, line for 0 m, 2 m, and coastline of land portion is digitalized. It is divided in four block, and is analyzed severally to know the degree of coastal changes by new airport construction, new town construction, and tide embankment construction.

  • As the applied fields of GIS are expanded to the transportation, developing internet-based applications for transportation information is getting attention increasingly. Most applications developed so far are primarily focused on guidance systems for owner-driven cars. Although some recent ones are devoted to public transportation systems, they show limitations in dealing with the following aspects: (i) people may change transportation means not only within the same type but also among different modes such as between buses and subways, and (ii) the system should take into account the time taken in transfer from one mode to the other. This study suggest the framework for developing a public transportation guidance system that generates optimized paths in the transportation network of mixed means including buses, subways and other modes. For this study, the Genetic Algorithms are used to find the best routes that take into account transfer time and other service-time constraints.

  • This paper discusses the development of compaction management system using Real Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS technology for the efficient management or compaction. The use or RTK provides the land surveyors with a graphical display of his/her corrected position on the ground at that moment in time. In this work, we intended to improve the efficiency of compaction management showing the route of rollers and the total number of compaction obtained from management software (GPSROLL v.1.0) developed in this study. The RTK GPS system installed on the roller. To improve the efficiency of field management, GPSROLL software provides also data processing module for the field soil test and the field surveying data. GPSROLL system is based on the Korean GUI for user-friendly data input and output.

  • In this study, joint analysis was conducted on the rock slope by aerial surveying using UAV. Aerial photos were taken using UAV to measure the directionality of the rock slope exposed to the site, and the directionality of the joint was analyzed using the photographed photos. UAV photography was taken under conditions of 90% overlap and an altitude of 50m. The photographing path was measured in the horizontal, vertical, and oblique directions based on the slope, and the joint characteristics were analyzed. Aerial surveying research on the joint directionality analysis of rock slopes is still incomplete, and the method for accurate joint directionality analysis is not presented strategically, so it is difficult to apply it in design. Through the results of this study, we would like to propose an flight photographing technique for the investigation of rock joints. As a result of the study, in the case of the joint investigation of the rock slope using UAV, it was necessary to change conditions such as altitude, aerial photography route, and overlap according to the size of the joint according to the site conditions.

  • In this paper, an automatic cruise system of unmanned boat was developed for surveying water depth in reservoir using accurate location information. Using global satellite navigation system(GNSS) data in real time, this unmanned system, combined with an echo sounder, can simultaneously collect location information and depth information on the reservoir. This automatic navigation system allows the automatic route generation program to automatically generate a cruise route according to the input conditions for grid sizes of 5m, 10m and 20m, and automatically controls the cruise route with high positional accuracy. The developed system was tested to verify the applicability of the selected Yonggok(Geoncheon) reservoir as a test reservoir located in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do.

  • This research is about applying aerial photos to three-dimensional simulation of road design. Instead of existing road design approach using digital map, which inexactly represent some part of topography and landmarks, digital aerial photos are applied to three-dimensional road design to address such inexactness of the map. First of all, ortho-photos are made using aerial photos, and a digital elevation model is created by extracting DEM. Then, by applying the coordinates practically using in planar design to three-dimensional approach, this model will be much helpful in the analyses of road route and viewscape. In addition, through the use of Virtual GIS, many evaluation factors such as urban design, flora, soil, water channel or road shape, flood plan are used for examination, and the effectiveness of applying three-dimensional simulation based on such route design standard is to be reviewed. In this paper, a basic research about three-dimensional design of structures is performed, and through the three-dimensional design, some effective determination to decision-making was carried out. Hereafter, it appears some research regarding environment-friendly construction and design should be followed.
