This study attempts to draw a blueprint of risk analysis for Information Systems (IS). We introduce two main variables for measuring IS risk - business-impact intensity and IS-vulnerability index - through the investigation of information characteristics, business processes and human-related factors. IS-vulnerability index consists of two factors such as degree of openness and degree of preparedness to the threats. Based on these factors, we built two integrative frameworks for risk analysis and management: One is a conceptual framework to enhance the understandability of IS risk itself; the other is an integrative framework to improve the managerial insight of overall IS risk. We then conducted a field study to empirically validate the proposed framework using a structural equations modeling method. We found that IS maturity and business-impact intensity were positively correlated to degree of openness to the threats, while IS maturity was negatively correlated to degree of preparedness to the threats.
Recently construction enterprises involves more occurred with increase of size and complxity of construction works. Risk management is one of the key project management process. Numerous tools are available to support the various phases of the risk management process. We present the results of a study designed to identify the tools that are most widely used and those that are associated with successful project management in general, and in effective project risk management in particular. The study is based on a questionnaire administered to a sample of project managers from construction enterprises. The response data was analyzed in order to find which tools are mon likely to be used in the those organizations that report better project management performance and in those that value the contribution of risk management processes.
In any form of construction work, it is essential that accidents be prevented at every stage, from foundation preparation to build completion. For this, it is necessary to use models that can assess risk and provide instructions for safe work processes so that the risk of accidents is reduced. Currently, however, very few models can perform these tasks. In this paper, we present a model that assesses risk quantitatively by analyzing the risk factors involved in each stage of construction, such as foundation work, temporary work, structural work, equipment work, and finishing work. The model performs assessment based on examples of accidents and by investigating actual conditions during construction. In addition, we present in this paper a safety management system developed to assess risk during construction and to effectively train laborers.
As preventive measures have received tremendous attention to prevent any possible accident in advance, many work places have introduced safety and health management systems. However despite of this government's effort, the industrial accident rate of small-scale businesses with less than 50 employees does not decline, which is mainly because the projects are not differentiated according to the risk level of individual business. To evaluate the risk level of small-scale businesses with less than 50 employees and then establish effective safety and health management systems according to the risk level, this study has conducted the following processes. The small-scale businesses with less than 50 employees were evaluated through accident type, and potential accident risk factor was evaluated through location, business type, and business size. The results of this analysis are expected to make contribution to improving the effectiveness of the safety and health management supports to small-scale businesses with less than 50 employees.

Objective: The objective of this work was to determine the prevalence of the pathologies that caused the condemnation of pig carcasses in an area of intensive pig farming and Mediterranean climatology and to evaluate their influence in a risk-based inspection procedure for slaughterhouses. Methods: A retrospective observational investigation was carried out from 2002 to 2016 into the pathological processes that caused the condemnation of pig carcasses in a slaughterhouse from South-eastern Spain. The seasonal effect on the causes of condemnation carcass was reported. Negative binomial model was used to evaluate the effect of season on the rate of antemortem rejections and post-mortem condemnations. Histopathological examinations were performed to confirm the diagnosis. Results: The risk of antemortem rejections (0.0564%) was significantly greater in summer (risk ratio [RR] = 1.57). Autumn was associated with higher rate (RR = 1.69) of the total postmortem condemnations (0.1046%). Significantly higher rates of pronounced anaemia (0.0111%) were observed in summer (RR = 3.20). The main causes of anaemia were observed gastroesophageal ulcers and haemorrhagic enteropathies. Significantly highest risk of erysipelas (0.0074%) were observed in autumn (RR = 5.485). About other zoonosis, only eight cases (0.0013%) of carcasses were declared unfit due to tuberculosis lesions. Porcine muscular cysticercosis was not detected. Nevertheless, nonspecific causes such as generalized infections and emaciation represented the half of the condemned carcasses (50.90%). Conclusion: The pathologies leading to the condemnation of carcasses in this study can be considered representative of the pathologies that affect the pig population from a region with a high intensive production and Mediterranean climatology because this slaughterhouse receives a lot of animals from many farms of different size in a high intensive pig production zone (Mediterranean region). Increased knowledge of environmental factors that may foment the appearance of the diseases is essential for implementing inspection programs based on risk assessment in pig's slaughterhouses.
The purpose of this study is that analyzing the causal relationship between Infra, Process and Performance of companies which are executing the Supply Chain Quality Management(SCQM) with their subcontractors and partners. Korean Standards Association(KSA) provides the Supply Chain Quality Management Model and Quality Collaboration Index for 4 years, but a few study has investigated the critical variables and their causal relationship to organizational performance. Therefore we examine the SCQM model and related index and choose the quality, human resource and risk management processes for identifying the path to organizational performance. In addition, exploratory factor analysis is conducted for figuring out the major factors among the 3 processes. Structural Equation Model are successively used for determining which characteristics of the infra and processes are the most critical variables to performance. The data was collected from KSA and composed of 52 companies and 346 their partners. The result shows that risk management process has no significant effect on the organizational performance and pre-production process collaboration.
Railway safety aims to ensure that railways take appropriate action to limit the risk of injury to persons or damage to property, to acceptable levels. Accreditation system specifies railway safety requirements to be included in a railway safety management system by any organization seeking to demonstrate the ability to control the processes that determine the acceptability of railway safety activities. The objective of this research is to investigate the international accreditation system for railway safety management. The yield information is quite valuable to operate collaborative processes with all interfacing transport operators and undertakings to facilitate risk control across the railway system.
The purpose of this paper is to investigate risk factors and ergonomically improve the manufacturing lines of compressors for prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders, enhancement of productivity, and workers satisfaction We executed questionnaire survey, ergonomic risk factors investigation of manufacturing lines and ergonomic intervention of work methods, workplace and hand tools. The results of the questionnaire showed that $7.9\%$ of respondents were positive in WMSDs symptom survey. In ergonomic evaluation, the analysis methods such as RULA and NIOSH lifting equation were used and 28 processes in the lines were evaluated to be potentially hazardous. We ergonomically improved the processes to reduce potential WMSDs hazards : manual material handling, carts, work tables, transport methods, working posture and hand tools.
In this paper, we consider a multi-risk model based on the policy entrance process with n independent policies. For each policy, the entrance process of the customer is a non-homogeneous Poisson process, and the claim process is a renewal process. The loss process of the single-risk model is a random sum of stochastic processes, and the actual individual claim sizes are described as extended upper negatively dependent (EUND) structure with heavy tails. We derive precise large deviations for the loss process of the multi-risk model after giving the precise large deviations of the single-risk model. Our results extend and improve the existing results in significant ways.

The construction of bored tunnels in soft ground inevitably causes ground movements. In the urban environment these may be of particular significance, because of their influence on buildings, other tunnels and services. The prediction of ground movements and the assessment of the potential effects on the structures is therefore an essential aspect of planning, design and construction of a tunnelling project in the urban environment. In this study, to minimize the effect of tunnelling-Induced ground movements on the adjacent structures, a system for tile settlement risk management was developed. The GIS based risk assessment system for adjacent structures developed in this study consists of several modules such as building information module, settlement evaluation module, potential risk assessment module for adjacent structures, and analysis module for monitoring data. This system focuses on controlling and managing construction processes that may lead to settlement In the surrounding buildings and can contribute to producing the optimum technical and economic design.
