A molecular dynamics simulation study on the structure and dynamics of Na+ ions in non-rigid dehydrated Na12-A zeolite framework at 298.15 K was conducted using the same method reported in previous studies on rigid and non-rigid Na12-A zeolite frameworks. The agreement between the experimental and calculated results for the zeolite-A framework atoms of structural parameters for non-rigid dehydrated Na12-A zeolite is generally quite good, and for the adsorbed Na+ions the agreement is acceptable. The calculated bond lengths are generally in good agreement with the experimental results and other theoretical data. The calculated IR spectrum by Fourier transform of the total dipole moment autocorrelation function shows two major peaks around 2700 cm-1 and 7000 cm-1. The former appeared in the calculated IR spectra of non-rigid zeolite-A framework only system and the latter remains unexplained except, perhaps, indicating a new formation of a vibrational mode of the framework due to the adsorption of Na+ ions. The peaks above 6200-6800 cm-1 in non-rigid dehydrated Nal2-A zeolite are much larger than those in non-rigid dehydrated H12-A zeolite.
In the present paper, we report a molecular dynamics (MD) simulation study for the structure and dynamics of H+ ions in non-rigid dehydrated H12-A zeolite framework at 298.15 K, using the same method we used in our previous studies of rigid and non-rigid zeolite-A frameworks. It is found that two different structures appear, depending on the choice of the Lennard-Jones parameter (σ) for the H+ ion, as is also observed in the study of rigid dehydrated H12-A zeolite framework, but the ranges of σ are different for the two structures. It is also found that some of the H+ ions exchanged their sites without changing the number of H+ ions at each site. The agreement between experimental and calculated structural parameters for non-rigid dehydrated H12-A zeolite is generally quite good. The calculated IR spectrum by Fourier transform of the total dipole moment auto-correlation function shows two major peaks, one around 2700 cm-1 and the other around 7000 cm-1. The former appears in the calculated IR spectra of non-rigid zeolite-A framework only system and the latter remains unexplained except, perhaps, as an indication of a new formation of a vibrational mode of the framework due to the adsorption of the H+ ions.
Driving dynamic characteristics of semi-trailer loaded with precise equipments are very important to protect them from vibration, impact or other disturbances. In this paper, in order to identify the driving dynamic characteristics of the large scale semi-trailer equipped with swivel axle and hydropneumatic suspension unit, Dynamics Modeling & Simulation(M&S) were performed using general Dynamics Analysis Program(RecurDyn V9R2). The semi-trailer was modeled as two types - one is Multi Rigid Body Dynamics(MRBD) model, and the other Rigid-Flexible Body Dynamics(RFlex) one. The natural vibration mode and frequencies of semi-trailer body, acceleration of dummy-weight, pitch, roll and yaw of dummy-weight, swivel axle and hydropneumatic suspension cylinder support structure, and acting force of hydropneumatic suspensions etc. were obtained from the M&S. Additionally frequency analysis were performed using the data of behavior obtained from above M&S. Generally the quantitative results of RFlex are larger than them of MRBD in view of magnitude of the comparable parametric values.
This paper deals with 3D simulation of industrial robot for automated manufacturing system. In order to evaluate the operational characteristics of the industrial robot system in the worst case motion scenario, flexible - rigid multibody analysis was performed. Then, the rigid body dynamics analysis was performed and the results were compared with the flexible - rigid multibody analysis. Modal analysis was also performed to confirm the dynamic characteristics of the robot system. In the case of the flexible-rigid multibody simulation, only the structural members of interest were modeled as elastic bodies to confirm the stress state. The remaining structural members were modeled as rigid bodies to reduce computer resources.
A flexible-rigid multibody analysis was pen armed to examine the dynamic response of a heavy handling robot system under a worst motion scenario. A rigid body dynamics analysis was solved and compared with flexible-rigid multibody analysis. The modal analysis and test were also carried out to establish the accuracy and the validation of the finite element model used in this paper. For the flexible-rigid multibody simulation, stresses in several major bodies were interested, so that those parts are flexible and other parts are modeled as rigid body in order to reduce computer resources.
The magnetic bearing systems are intrinsically unstable, and need the feedback control of electromagnetic forces with measured displacements. So the controller design plays an important role in constructing high performance magnetic bearing system. In case of magnetic bearing systems, the order of identified model is high because of unknown dynamics included in closed loop systems - such as sensor dynamics, actuator dynamics-and non-linearity of magnetic bearings itself. "Identification for control" - joint optimization of system identification and controller design- is proposed to get the limited-order model which is suited for the design of high-performance controller. We applied the joint identification/controller design scheme to MIMO rigid rotor system supported by magnetic bearings. Firs, we designed controller of a nonlinear simulation model of MIMO magnetic bearing system with this scheme and proved its feasibility. Then, we performed experiments on MIMO rigid rotor system supported by magnetic bearings, and the performance of closed-loop system is improved gradually during the iteration.
Hamiltonian modeling approach has been extensively adopted for rigid body dynamics whereas its usage for deforming flexible continuum dynamics has been limited. A set of Hamilton's equations for flexible body motion with finite deformation has been derived and applied for a nonlinear impact problem.

If we want to analyze the motion of a body in fluid, we should use rigid-body dynamics and fluid dynamics together. Even if the rigid-body and fluid dynamics are each self-consistent, there arises the problem of self-similar structure in the equation of motion when the two dynamics are coupled with each other. When the added mass is greater than the mass of a body, the calculated motion is divergent because of its self-similar structure. This study showed that the above problem is an inherent problem. This problem of self-similar structure may arise in the equation of motion in which the fluid dynamic forces are treated as external forces on the right hand side of the equation. A reconfiguration technique for the equation of motion using pseudo-added-mass was proposed to resolve the self-similar structure problem; specifically for the case when the fluid force is expressed by integration of the fluid pressure.
We investigated the substrate surface polishing by the spherical rigid abrasive under the compression using classical molecular dynamics modeling. We performed three-dimensional molecular dynamic simulations using the Morse potential functions for the various slide-to-roll ratios, from 0 to 1, and then, the compressive forces acting on the spherical rigid abrasive were calculated as functions of the time and the slide-to-roll ratio. The friction coefficients obtained from the classical molecular dynamics simulations were compared to those obtained from the experiments; and found that the molecular dynamic simulation results with the slide-to-roll ratio of 0 value were in good agreement with the experimental results.
