Hospital Nurses' Experience of Bullying in the Workplace and Burnout, Organizational Commitment, Turnover Intention and Nursing Productivity (간호사의 근무지 약자 괴롭힘 경험과 소진, 조직몰입, 이직의도 및 간호생산성)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to investigate nurses' experience of bullying in clinical fields. Methods: Participants were 309 nurses working in general hospitals. Data were collected using self- report questionnaires which were evaluated in terms of workplace bullying, burnout, organizational commitment, turnover intention and nursing productivity. Results: Of the participants 17.2% reported being victims of workplace bullying of nurses in general hospital, based on the operational definition of bullying. Coping response to workplace bullying was mainly passive such as enduring, ignoring, and evading. Experience of workplace bullying was positively correlated with burnout and turnover intention and negatively correlated with organizational commitment and productivity. Conclusion: The findings suggest that there is a need for assessment of the reality of workplace bullying of nurses in clinical areas as well carefully reviewing the problem and impact. A supportive system, education programs and improved workplace climate are recommended to reduce workplace bullying in clinical fields.

The Effect of the Determinants on the Intention-to-Use of Big Data System in Manufacturing Industry (제조업 종사자들의 빅데이터시스템 사용의도에 대한 결정요인의 영향)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study was to find the effect of the determinants on the Big data utilization in industry. The determinants of Big data utilization were deduced by reviewing theoretical background and discussions on Big data related researches. Research model and proposed hypothesis were constructed from TOE framework and UTAUT model. Design/methodology/approach The research was conducted to collect a sample data from the experts involved in the Big data projects in industry. In addition, interviews and online survey were performed to get sample data. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted to verify the grouping of these questionnaire items and confirmatory factor analysis was done to verify the validity and reliability of the measurement model. Finally, research hypothesis was verified and theoretical and practical implications were proposed for further studies. Findings The results show that the technical factor have a significant effect on the expectancy factor and the behavioral factor. The organizational factor have a significant effect on the behavioral factor. In addition, the expectancy factor was significant on the behavioral factor and the intention-to-use of Big data system.

A Study on Selection Attributes of Dessert Cafes: Focusing on Literature Research

  • This study aims to examine the relationship between customer satisfaction and revisit intention according to the selected attributes of dessert cafes in Korea. Additionally, we would like to provide useful data to maintain a continuous competitive advantage by comprehensively reviewing the effective operation of dessert cafes and strategic plans and methods to identify customer needs in the rapidly spreading competitive environment of the domestic dessert restaurant industry in Korea. A qualitative analysis method was applied through a literature review on satisfaction and revisit according to the selected attributes of dessert cafes, and data using theoretical backgrounds obtained through web searches and existing cases. As a result, dessert quality and convenience showed inconsistent results, and coffee quality was found to have a statistically significant positive (+) effect in various data. Moreover, various attributes such as service, image, price, diversity, and service had a significantly positive (+) effect, and satisfaction with dessert cafes also had a significantly positive (+) effect on revisit intention. In conclusion, dessert cafe managers should develop various desires that reflect consumers' tastes and are competitive so that customers can revisit dessert cafes, which requires more in-depth analysis by obtaining a more systematic sample group in the future.

An Empirical Study of Students' Start-Up Activities: Integrated Approach of Student-Focused Cognitive Model and Supportive Activities of University (대학생 창업활동에 대한 실증적 연구 : 대학생 중심의 인지적 모델과 대학지원의 통합적 접근)

  • The basic purpose of this study is to examine the relationship among entrepreneurial intention, university supports for startup, and startup activities of university students. For the study, we identified the influence factors of students' startup intention based on reviewing preceding studies and examined how these factors affect their intention of new venture startup. In addition, this study attempted to examine how these factors that can have a significant impact on entrepreneurial intention affect startup activities and analyzed how entrepreneurial intention would mediate the relationship between these influence factors and startup activities. A total of 769 students who chosen by random were surveyed and all questionnaires were sent by mail to the universities that entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial programs were selected as the forerunners from the government. As a result, this study revealed that student's psychological traits such as entrepreneurial self-efficacy and risk-taking have significant effect on the intention of startup. And student's exposure to the role models and various entrepreneurial experiences such as entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial student's club in the university has significantly positive influence on the intention of startup. This study also found that the effects of these explanatory variables of this research on startup activities have been partially mediated by entrepreneurial intention. The entrepreneurial intention was also proven to have a significant effect on startup activities. Finally, the extent to which university supports activities for students' startup moderated the relationship between entrepreneurial intention and university students' startup activities. We believe that these results of this study contribute to the understanding of the entrepreneurship process both theoretical and practical perspectives.

The Study of SNS Users' Switching Behavior: In the Perspective of SNS Fatigue and Migration Theory (SNS 사용자 이동 영향요인 연구: SNS 피로감과 이주이론을 중심으로)

  • Purpose Although companies occupied the network market take the advantageous position first and can be successful in securing users over a certain size, it is important to satisfy the customers' demand and prevent the outflow of users toward a new alternative SNS. What is more, there are frequent changes in the flow of users toward new SNSs. Despite these dynamic market circumstances, there is a lack of research to explain the switching behaviors of SNS users. Design/methodology/approach The objective of this study is to explain and verify a specified migration theory(Push-Pull-Mooring model) focused on SNS fatigue in the psychological point of view, as well as reviewing previous studies on functional and technical characteristics of SNSs themselves. Moreover, this study tried to highlight factors affecting users actual SNS switch rather than their switching intention. Findings According to the statistical analysis, the most influenced pull factor to switch SNS was the alternative attractiveness. On the other hand, undesired relationship burden, service innovation and important mooring factors to prevent users' SNS switch. This study has a significant contribution to the theory, which analyzed users' actual SNS switch, and examined SNS users' psychological factors(SNS fatigue), reviewing the characteristics of existing services. To secure more users and to keep them, companies providing social network service need to develop differentiated strategies by analyzing psychological characteristics of various users.

Study on the Factors Affecting the Intention to Participate in the Boycott: Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Anger and the Moderating Effect of Online and SNS News Usage (불매운동 참여의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 분노의 매개효과와 온라인 및 SNS 뉴스이용의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The boycott of Japanese products triggered by Japan's economic retaliation has heated up the Republic of Korea. This study examined the factors affecting the boycott participation intention in 217 college students and ordinary people in their 20s and 30s. The results of the study showed that perceived egregiousness, self-efficacy, and subjective norm had a positive effect on boycott participation intention, and perceived egregiousness had an indirect effect on boycott participation intention through anger. In addition, these overall impacts were moderated by online and SNS news usage. This study is significant in providing academic and practical implications for understanding boycott phenomena by verifying various influencing factors on consumer boycott intentions and comprehensively reviewing the mediating effect of anger and the moderating effect of online and SNS news usage.

  • Today, various on-line services based on the Internet have been provided, and recently UCC(user created contents) have become more popular based on web 2.0. However researches on UCC prevailing among internet users have not been performed much yet. Therefore, we have conducted an empirical study to investigate the structural relationships among UCC characteristics, perceived usefulness, flow and intention to use in this study. After reviewing the related works we have derived three latent variables - system, contents, and user characteristics - as UCC characteristics. Structural Equation Model(SEM) has been used to analyze the structural relationships among characteristics of UCC, perceived usefulness, flow and intention to use. Managerial implications are also suggested for managing the UCC services in conclusion.

The Effects of Repurchase Intention by Social Commerce Traits and Consumer's Traits in China (중국에서의 소셜 커머스 특성과 소비자 특성이 재구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose - Social commerce is a certain way of how people buy some products together with others through the internet sites with mutual interactions among customers with the benefits of SNS when buying some products. At present, China market has some problems due to its rapid growing. However, empirical research or academic approach to social commerce has not been made enough. So, it is important for Chinese social market to develop and enlarge the customers with stability under the reliability and satisfaction. Also it is important for them to have repurchase intention. Nowadays, it is necessary to find the factors on customer satisfaction and trust, whereas consumers' dissatisfaction and unreliability are increasing on social commerce recently. In addition, researches on social commerce have been actively pursued by a variety of domestic and foreign scholars. However, researches on social commerce and Chinese market are short of, and they have some limitations because of the rapid growth of the market even though it is the early stage. The current situation requires researches on consumers' repurchase intention for continuing growth in the future according to the growth of Chinese social commerce. Research design, data, and methodology - The literature and the empirical studies are combined in order to achieve the purpose of the study. Deriving social commerce features and consumer properties as factors affecting the repurchase intention through the literature, and these factors have modeled a series of assumptions about the impact on satisfaction and trust, and have established hypotheses to verify them. The survey which is conducted to test the hypothesis and questionnaires are derived based on the variables discussed in the previous study. Appropriate measures were developed and tested on 227 respondents in China with a cross-sectional questionnaire survey. The path relationships of the research model were analyzed by SPSS 23.0 and Amos 23.0. Results - Research results about social commerce characteristics and factors affecting the repurchase intention are presented to Chinese market companies that adopt business models and consumer characteristics. In addition, this study focuses on the characteristics of social commerce, from two-dimensional characteristics of the consumer satisfaction, trust and the impact on the repurchase. Therefore, social commerce features and consumer properties based on the results of this study may lead the strategic implications that may increase the repurchase intention. Conclusions - The classification reviewing the previous findings related to social commerce and social commerce features affects social commerce repurchase (price discount, interactivity) and consumer characteristics (impulsivity, innovation, collectivism). It affects repurchase on factors and analyzes empirically. The empirical results identify major characteristics (social commerce characteristics, attributes) that affect the repurchase intention, and give the practical implications as well as the business strategies that are able to enhance social commerce repurchase consumers. The Moderating Effects of Display Rule Fairness Perception and Problem-Focused Stress Coping on Emotional Labor (감정 노동에서 표현 규칙의 공정성에 대한 지각과 문제 중심 스트레스 대처의 조절효과에 관한 연구)

  • The moderators that relieve negative effects of emotional labor have been studied such as job characteristics and situational variables. But as reviewing these studies, they focused on the degree of emotional on certain condition, there's no distinction between that degree and moderating effects. So we should focus on the moderating variables as a organizational involvement. In this study, I hypnotized the mediating effect of job stress between emotional labor and organizational effectiveness. Then I explored moderating role of 'fairness perception of emotional labor' and 'problem-focused stress coping'. This study tested these relationships using data from 166 employees of domestic security service company. From this data, I found that emotional labor increases job stress and job stress fully mediates the relationship between individual attitude(job satisfaction, turnover intention). And one who perceives display rule fairer, feels less job stress than who is not. Lastly, one who copes more problem-focused when he/she experiences job stress, have less negative effect on turnover intention.

Factors Affecting Industry 4.0 Adoption in the Curriculum of University Students in Ho Chi Minh City

  • This study investigates the factors affecting Industry 4.0 adoption in the curriculum of university students in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Universities need to respond to the changing faces of Industry 4.0 and, hence, Education 4.0. A mixed method including both qualitative and quantitative methodologies was utilized. An in-depth interview was carried out for exploring, reviewing, and testing content validity of constructs and measurement items. The pilot study was conducted with 120 respondents. The conceptual model and hypotheses were developed using data collected by a questionnaire survey distributed to 584 respondents by both electronic and paper forms with non-probability and convenience sampling techniques. The result of structural equation modeling showed that occupation relevance, skills, facility conditions, and social influence impacted on the intermediates variables, namely, relevance advantage, perceived usefulness, behavioral intention-to-use, and actual use. The independent variables are occupation relevance, skills, facility conditions, and social influence. They impact actual use through mediating constructs such as relevance advantage, perceived usefulness, and behavioral intention-to-use. The findings suggest that universities and students' efforts aimed at increasing the factors' perceptions of adoption of Industry 4.0 will contribute to implementation success, where success is defined as effectual usage of Industry 4.0.
