Since the late 1930s, acrylic resins have been the materials of choice for the fabrication of complete denture bases. It has excellent esthetic properties, adequate strength, low water sorption, and low solubility. But acrylic resin has disadvantage of processing shrinkage that reduces denture retention and accuracy of denture occlusion. Metals also have been used in denture base material. Metals used in denture bases display excellent strength and dimensional stability. The major disadvantages associated with metal denture bases include increased cost, difficulty in fabrication, compromised esthetic qualities, and inability to re-base. The purpose of this study is to compare the artificial tooth movements of complete dentures with resin bases and metal bases after curing, deflasking, polishing immersion in water for 1 week and 4 weeks. Twenty-four maxillary complete resin denture bases with artificial teeth were fabricated. Twelve of them were resin based and other twelve of them were metal based. Fine crosses were marked on the incisal edges of right central incisors and distobuccal cusps of be second molars. Measurements were done for the changes of distances of reference points at the time of wax denture, after deflasking after decasting after polishing after immersion in water for 1 week and 4 weeks Meaurements were done to the accuracy of 0.001mm with a measuring microscope. The results were as follows : 1. Metal base showed significantly less tooth movement than resin base after curing and decasting (p<0.01). 2. Metal base showed significantly less tooth movement than resin base after polishing (p<0.01). 3. After immersion in water for 1 week and 4 weeks, metal base showed less movement than resin base. Difference was significant for anterior-posterior distances (p<0.01), but not significant for molar-to-molar distance (p>0.01). 4. 1 week and 4 weeks of immersion failed to compensate the initial processing shrinkage of metal and resin bases (p>0.01).

The residual alveolar ridge below the denture base undergoes physiologic changes over time, which results in the existing dentures becoming less accurate with the residual alveolar ridge. In addition, changes of the occlusal plane, decreasing in vertical dimension and loss of denture retention and facial support can occur. Consequently, denture relining may be required to accommodate these changes and ensure an ongoing close fit. Relining a denture can be performed directly on the chairside using autopolymerizing relining materials or indirectly in the laboratory using heat-cured relining materials. A direct relining method is not only simple but also time and cost effective. However, irritation or burning sensation of the mucosa can occur, and poor bonding of the relining material to the denture base can be cited as disadvantages. The indirect relining method exhibits relatively high bonding strength between the relining material and the denture base, but the patient might experience discomfort during relining process period. This report will examine the characteristics of relining materials, including those used in the relining of CAD-CAM dentures, and explore the clinical considerations for relining procedures.

The patient who has severely absorbed residual ridges, treatments are challenging to satisfy many factors: support, retention, stability, etc. The neutral zone or monoplane occlusion with non-anatomical tooth would be helpful to get additional retention and stability. The monoplane occlusion has been used long time because it can eliminate horizontal forces and many other advantages. The lingualized occlusion was introduced to improve chewing efficiency and esthetics. But from a stability aspect, it seems controversy between monoplane occlusion and lingualized occlusion. This case report shows the results of the treat two flat residual ridge patients using functional impression; piezography, and made 2 other dentures with monoplane and lingualized occlusion that patient can select denture.

It is very hard for edentulous patients to satisfy retention and stability with their complete denture. Especially, for patients with systemic diseases such as Parkinson's disease causing involuntary and limited movements, fabricating complete dentures may be challenging to both dentists and patients due to functional limitations. To overcome this problem, overdentures can be used through conserving retained roots. In this case, a 45-year-old male patient had to extract numerous teeth due to dental caries, and at the time of visit he was taking drugs for diabetes and Parkinson's disease for a period of long time. A complete denture was applied to maxilla, and for mandible, an overdenture on two preserved retained roots was applied where its retention and stability were obtained by magnetic attachments. This case reports that overdenture with retained roots improved overall functional limitations.

For the rehabilitation of fully edentulous patients, implant-supported removable partial dentures can be considered as one of the treatment options with complete dentures or implant-supported overdentures. If removable partial dentures are used in combination with a small number of implants placed in strategically important positions, it can offer additional stability, retention and support through implants and reduce a burden of surgical procedures compared with fixed implant-supported prostheses with extensive implant placement. Moreover, the economical benefit can be expected as well. The purpose of this case report is to present a treatment in which an implant-supported removable partial denture was fabricated considering residual alveolar bone status and demands after teeth loss in a patient who had been using a distal extension removable partial denture for a long period of time. In anterior area, fixed prostheses were fabricated with implant placement and in posterior area, short implants provide only support for the removable partial denture. In addition, denture base and clasp were made of thermoplastic acrylic resin. Finally, functionally and aesthetically satisfying treatment results can be achieved.

As digital technology has advanced in the field of dentistry, the use of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) has brought changes to the stages of dental treatment. The use of CAD/CAM technology in dental restoration offers clinical efficiency and convenience by reducing production time and appointment intervals, while also simplifying the fabrication process to reduce errors. In this case, digital replication and printing of temporary teeth were used to aid a patient with complex medical histories and physical disabilities. The final impression obtained with silicone impression material included information on the vertical dimension, centric relation, and the angle and length of the anterior teeth, which shortened the production time and appointment intervals and increased patient satisfaction. The final restoration was fabricated using milling and monolithic disc techniques, demonstrating appropriate stability, retention, and support, resulting in functional and aesthetic satisfaction.
Purpose: In this study, Spreadability of denture adhesive in accordance with the saturation level of saliva, respectively, by using the resin plate and the glass was measured thickness and Spreadability. Methods: Examine the spreadability of denture adhesive in accordance with the saturation level of saliva, respectively, by using the resin plate and the glass was measured thickness and Spreadability. Also, by measuring the adhesive strength according to the amount of saliva, and the edentulous patients using denture adhesive and dry mouth patients attempt to provide clinical information of the denture adhesive. Therefore, by using the relatively low shrinkage cold curing resin, after fabricating specimen of plate form, for 7 days, it was immersed in water. Results: For the control group only denture adhesive, an artificial saliva for the experimental group were injected in $0.1m{\ell}$, $0.2m{\ell}$ and $0.3m{\ell}$ of the denture adhesive on the surface, experimental results of the investigation of the 10 times the tensile bond strength of the specimens in each group was obtained the following results. Conclusion: As the time to pressure increase in the same amount of saliva was found that the amount coming out of the denture adhesive, as the amount of saliva in the same pressure increase coming out of many denture adhesives. And the greater the pressure came out a lot of denture adhesives. Spreadability in measuring saliva contact with $0.1m{\ell}$ and $2m{\ell}$ and $3m{\ell}$ group pressured the diameter of the circular was the denture adhesive is small when compared to the group without adding the pressure of 2kg and 3kg put the saliva. The size of the circle is the same amount of saliva denture adhesive spread more pressure showed a greater increase.

Impression taking procedure is very important for support, retention and stability of denture, and it affects the success of denture in completely edentulous patients. Various materials and methods have been used for impression taking in complete denture, while dynamic impression method is more physiological and functional method than the others. We had satisfying results with fabrication and relining of dentures after taking impression in the most physiological condition with recovery of deformed soft tissue by dynamic impression method using Coe-comfort$^{(R)}$ (GC America, IL, USA), tissue conditioner, in edentulous patients in this case report.

The goal of suction denture is to enhance retention of dentures by the formation of negative pressure between the denture base and the underlying tissue and sealing around the denture by the mucosa. This patient has been converted to a completely edentulous state after the extraction of residual teeth. Fabrication of suction denture was planned because it was estimated that the conventional compete would be hard to achieve retention due to the absorption of residual ridge and lack of sublingual fold. Through appropriate clinical and laboratory technique such as preliminary impression on the mandibular rest position, provisional vertical dimension determination with Centric Tray® (Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Schaan, Liechtenstein), closed mouth definitive impression and jaw relation record using individual tray with Gnathometer M® (Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Schaan, Liechtenstein), artificial teeth arrangement considering stability of the denture, and proper polymerization technique that minimizes polymerization shrinkage, restoring the patient with suction denture resulted in satisfaction throughout the function and asesthetics.

This case report describes the treatment of two fully edentulous patients with mini-implant overdentures using different implant systems on narrow mandibular alveolar bone ridge. They were complaining about discomfort and pain wearing mandibular conventional complete dentures caused by insufficient retention. Each patient received four miniimplants in the interforaminal area of the mandible using the non-submerged flapless surgical approach. One-body type implant (Slimline, Dentium, Seoul, Korea) was used for a patient and loaded immediately after surgery. Metal housings of O-ring were attached by direct technique. For the other patient, two-piece type implant (LODI, Zest Anchors, Escondido, CA, USA) was used and impressions were made for attachment connection of the Locator's metal housings after 8 weeks of surgery. Within this case report, mandibular miniimplant overdentures using different implant systems showed improvement of patient satisfaction with favorable peri-implant tissue response 6 months after attachment connection. However, long-term follow-up is needed for further evaluation.
