  • In this study, we studied the nature of thin films formed by holographic photodoping chalcogenide thin films with for use in programmable metallization cell devices(PMC), a type of ReRAM. We formatted straight conduction pathway from the internal interferences of the diffraction gratings which is builded by the holographic lithography method. We investigated the resistance change of solid-electrolyte chalcogenide thin films varied in the applied voltage bias direction from about $1\;M{\Omega}$ to several hundreds of $\Omega$. The switching characteristics of the devices applied holographic lithography method was more improved than ultraviolet exposure condition. As a result of improved resistance change effects, we can analogize that the diffraction gratings is a kind of pattern for straight conduction pathway formation inside the chalcogenide thin films.

FATIGUE RESISTANCE OF DENTAL IMPLANTS TREATED WITH LASER METHOD

  • Statement of problem. Many surface processing methods of dental implant have been developed, the laser processing is one of them. Purpose. This study was to investigate in vitro the fatigue resistance of implants treated with laser method(CSM implant, CSM Company, Daegu, Korea). Material and methods. Fatigue tests of 23 laser treated CSM implant(CSM Company, Daegu, Korea) were conducted using Instron 8871 (Load cell, 5 kN, Instron Co., England), according to ISO 14801 (2003), Results. From 300 N, each specimens were not fractured and withstood until more than 5,000,000 cycle. Conclusion. Within the limits of this in vitro study, implants treated with laser method (CSM implant, CSM Company, Daegu, Korea) have had enough rigidity and fatigue resistance to use clinically with reliance.

  • The increased interest in the design of energy efficient ships post IMO regulation on enforcing EEDI has encouraged researchers to reevaluate the numerical methods in predicting important hull design parameters. The prediction of added resistance and stability of ships in the rough sea environment dictates selection of ship hulls. A 3D panel method based on Green function is developed for vessel motion prediction. The effects of parametric instability are also investigated using the Volterra series approach to model the hydrostatic variation due to ship motions. The added resistance is calculated using the near field pressure integration method.

최적선형개발에 대한 기초연구 (Fundamental Study for the Development of an Optimum Hull Form)

  • A design procedure for a ship with minimum total resistance has been developed using a numerical optimization method called SQP(sequential quadratic programming) to search for different optimal hull forms. The frictional resistance has been estimated using the ITTC 1957 model-ship correlation line formula, and the wave resistance has been evaluated using a potential-flow panel method that is based on Rankine sources with nonlinear free surface boundary conditions. The geometry of a hull surface has been modified using B-spline surface patches, during the whole optimization process. The numerical analyses have been carried out for the modified Wilgey hull at three different speeds (Fn=0.25, 0.316, 0.408), and the calculation results were compared.

  • A coast down test mothod has been used to determine the resistance forces on running vehicle due to the aerodynamic drag, rolling resistance and driveline resistance. Most of the tests, however, are based on the Velocity-Time measurements, which require a sophisticated velocity measuring device and contain much error by nature. In the present study a coast down test method based on Distance-Time measurements is introduced, which contains the original idea of Russian scientist Prof. Petrushov along with the suggestions for improvement of the accuracy.

  • This paper considers corrosion problems in the bolt connection of weathering steel box girder bridge using the external electric type corrosion resistance method which resisted to local corrosion in coated steel surface with contacted air. The weathering steel was created a rust itself in the passive state. but a coated box girder type was easily dew form could be made galvanic cell that accelerated corrosion. so that it was ruled by protection coat with some paint. Therefore, it needed that can be applied the external electric type corrosion resistance method in coated surface. As a result of the test of polarization amount had measured that the weathering steel was higher currents than the general steel by about $5\~10\%$. Therefore. an external electric type corrosion resistance method can be used to protect local corrosion in the coated bolt connection of weathering steel box girders effectively.

Parameters On-line Identification of Dual Three Phase Induction Motor by Voltage Vector Injection in Harmonic Subspace

  • This paper introduces a novel method of on-line identifying the stator resistance and leakage inductance of dual three phase induction motor (DTPIM). According to the machine mathematical model, the stator resistance and leakage inductance can be estimated using the voltage and current values in harmonic subspace. Thus a method of voltage vector injection in harmonic subspace (VVIHS) is proposed, which causes currents in harmonic space. Then the errors between command and actual harmonic currents are utilized to regulate the machine parameters, including stator resistance and leakage inductance. The principle is presented and analyzed in detail. Experimental results prove the feasibility and validity of proposed method.

  • In this study, an investigation was made to study the chemical resistance performance of epoxy resin injection type leakage repair material used in the Korean construction market in accordance to the test method outlined in "ISO TS 16774, Part 2; Test Method for Chemical Resistance." This is a new standard document used for quality control method of injection type repair material used for leakage cracking of underground concrete structures. The results of this study can be expected to be utilized as reference data that can be used for quality improvement of the maintenance methods for future construction.

대형 캐비테이션터널에서 몰수체 저항시험 및 위벽효과 수정 기법 연구 (Study of the Resistance Test and Wall Blockage Correction Method for the Submerged Body in LCT)

  • In order to study the resistance test technique for the submerged body in Large Cavitation Tunnel (LCT), DARPA Suboff, submarine model publicly available was manufactured. DTRC released the resistance test data of DARPA Suboff conducted at ship speeds up to 18.0 knots in high-speed towing tank in 1990. As LCT is considered restricted waterways with walls, the resistance test results must be corrected with three wall blockage effects called buoyancy effect, solid blockage effect and wake blockage effect. Before correction, the resistance of LCT was 16~20 % higher than that of DTRC. After correction, the resistance and the resistance coefficients were compared with those of DTRC. The corrected resistance of LCT shows good agreement with that of DTRC. The residual resistance coefficient shows the difference according to the calculation method of buoyancy and frictional resistance coefficient. This paper suggests the best way for the calculation of residual resistance coefficient, On the basis of the present study, it is thought that the operating conditions for the propeller cavitation and noise tests can be drawn through LCT tests.

콘관입시험자료를 기초로 한 PC말뚝의 주면마찰력 예측 (Predictions of PC Pile Shaft Resistance by CPT Data)

  • 서해안에 위치한 서산지역에서 연구용 prestressed concrete 말뚝을 3본을 설치하고 주변에서 콘관입시험을 수행하여 말뚝의 주면마찰력을 추정하는 연구를 수행했다. 본 연구에서 이용한 말뚝 지지력 산정식은 세계적으로 많이 이용하고 있는 Schmertmann방법, Tumay & Fakroo방법 및 프랑스의 LCPC방법을 이용하였다. 콘관입시험의 측정결과를 이용하여 3가지 방법으로 예측한 말뚝 의 주면마찰력과 현장에서 수행한 정역학적 재하시험 및 동재하시험에서 산정된 주면마찰력과의 비교하여 3가지 예측방법들에 대한 신뢰성을 평가했다. CPT를 이용한 3가지 예측식으로 산정한 말뚝의 주면마찰력은 전체적으로 25일과 42일이 지난후 수행한 정재하시험에 의한 주면마찰력을 상당히 과소평가했으나, 항타시좌 말뚝설치후 2주가 지난 시점에 수행한 동재하시험결과와는 유사한 말뚝의 주면마찰력을 예측했다.
