슬림 AU 합성보 내화성능 평가 (Fire Resistance Evaluation of SLIM AU Composite Beam)

  • SLIM AU(A plus U-shaped) composite beam was developed for reducing the story height in the residential buildings, and saving the cosrtuction cost of floor structures. Structural performance and economic feasibility of the composite beam have been sufficiently approved through the structural experiments and the analytical studies. However, the verification for fire safety is necessary for the practical application of the composite beam. The fire resistance tests with and without loading were performed for the fire safety verification, and the test results were summarized in this paper.

  • AU(A plus U-shaped) composite beam was developed for reducing the story height in the residential buildings, and saving the cosrtuction cost of floor structures. Structural performance and economic feasibility of the composite beam have been sufficiently approved through the structural experiments and the analytical studies. Fire safety for the practical application of the composite beam has also been verified through the fire resistance tests and the heat transfer analyses. In this study 2-points bending tests were performed on the four specimens already tested for fire resistance to evaluate the residual bending strength of AU composite beam after fire accident. The same bending test was performed on the one fresh specimen having the same section and span of the specimens for practically comparative study.

피난 지연시간의 적용과 방화문 개방 정도에 따른 피난 안전성 확보에 관한 고찰 : 주거형태를 중심으로 (A Study on the Safety of Evacuation according to Evacuation Delay Time and Fire Door Openness: Based on Residence Types)

  • 본 논문은 주거형태를 가지는 건축물의 성능위주설계 시 수행되는 피난 지연시간(인지 시간 + 개시 시간)의 적용과 세대 내 방화문의 개방 정도가 피난 안전성 평가에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 파악하고 현실적 대안을 제시하기 위한 논문이다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위해 먼저 2018년 6월까지 시행되었던 광주광역시의 성능위주설계 대상 건축물 중 주거형태를 가지는 건축물(공동주택, 도시형생활주택 등)의 피난 안전성 평가에 대해 선행 조사를 하였다. 그런 다음 선행 조사된 건축물 중 일반적으로 많이 사용되고 있는 2가지 대표적인 Type에 대해 피난 지연시간은 W1, W2를 적용하고 방화문의 개방 정도는 전체개방, 1/4 개방, 누설 틈새를 각각 적용하여 시뮬레이션한 다음 피난 안전성 평가를 수행하였다. 피난 안전성 평가의 수행결과 방화문 개방 정도가 전체개방 및 1/4 개방 상태에서 사생활 침해 등을 고려하여 피난 지연시간 W2를 적용한 경우에는 피난 안전성을 모두 확보하기 어려운 것으로 나타났으며, 누설 틈새를 적용한 경우에만 피난 지연시간 W2를 적용해도 피난 안전성이 확보되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 주거형태를 가지는 건축물이 성능위주설계 대상이 될 때 피난 안전성 평가 수행 시 CCTV 설치 등으로 사생활 침해 등의 우려가 있는 국내 현실을 반영하여 피난 지연시간은 W1보다는 W2의 적용을 검토하고 방화문의 차연성능 확보 및 성능위주 설계의 고도화를 위해 방화문의 개방 정도에 누설 틈새를 적용하는 방안도 함께 검토해 줄 것을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 통해 성능위주 설계 시 좀 더 현실화된 자료로 피난 안전성 평가를 수행함으로써 한 단계 더 발전된 성능위주설계가 될 것으로 기대된다.

  • Heat release characteristics of live fire load are an important parameter for performance oriented fire safety design of a building. While investigations have been carried out on the fire load and its burning behavior in office, residential and commercial buildings and so on, little effort has been paid for the rational treatment of fire load in bookstore. In this report, burning behavior of typical combustible objects in bookstore are studied by measuring heat release rates of bookshelf with book.

건축물의 화재안전설계를 위한 각국의 내·외장재 기준 비교 연구 (Comparative Study on the Standards of Internal and External Materials of Each Country for Fire Safety of Buildings)

  • In Korea, the concentration of cities has led to the high-rise and deep-rise of buildings. In the case of such high-rise buildings, there is a high risk of fire, and the number of internal fires expanding to the outside continues to increase. The Korean Building Act continues to change the ban on combustible exterior materials, and combustible exterior materials are currently not available for buildings with three stories or more than 9 meters, and detailed test standards for finishing materials are also strengthened after the Ulsan residential and commercial fires in 2020. However, the path of fire in the actual building is through a series of processes in which the fire in the compartment grows internally and expands through openings supplied with ventilation factors. Therefore, other than just external materials, design criteria for embedded materials also need to be established. The purpose of this study is to compare standards for internal and external materials at home and abroad and to secure basic data for fire safety design of buildings based on them.

건물화재시 연기층의 형성에 관한 실험적연구 (An Experimental Study on the Formation of Smoke Layer of Compartment Fire)

  • The objective of this research is to study the formations of smoke layer in case of several furniture fires such as trashcan, carpet, mattress and wardrobe as a fire starter in a residential room by performing the experimental studies. The uniformly distributed fire in case of carpet showed that the ignition and the initial growth period were relatively short while the fully developed period was considerably long. The concentrated fires such as the trashcan, mattress and wardrobe showed that the ignitions and the initial growth periods were relatively long. The descending speed of the interface height was proportioned to the inflammability of the furniture and the spread of the fire. The time required to come down around 1m was within 1-3 minutes. The Interface heights for the furniture fires were around 1m as the steady state. However, at the time of the maximum temperature, the interface height was lowered to 0.25m-0.75m from the floor. The carbon dioxide concentration reached the highest while the oxygen concentration was minimum.

주거공간 가연물의 화재하중 산정방법의 비교연구 (Comparative Study on the Estimation Method of Fire Load for Residential Combustibles)

  • 본 연구는 주거공간 내 가연물의 화재하중 산정방법의 신뢰성을 평가하기 위한 연구로서 가연물의 3차원 형상정보를 통해 체적을 산정하고 문헌조사와 시편실험을 통해 얻은 가연물의 물성을 적용하여 화재하중을 산정한다. 대상 가연물은 주방 싱크대, 가정용 소파, 책상 세트이며 실화재 실험을 통해 가연물에서 방출되는 총열방출량을 측정하였다. 실화재 실험에서 측정된 총열방출량을 기준으로 문헌조사에 기초하여 계산된 화재하중은 6~120% 정도의 상대오차를 보였으나 시편실험에 기초한 화재하중은 20% 이내로 나타났다. 본 연구는 화재하중 평가의 오차가 형상정보뿐만 아니라 가연물의 재료 물성에 큰 영향을 받는다는 사실을 보여주고 있으며 이러한 연구를 통해 화재하중 산정기법을 향상시키는데 기여할 수 있다.

고밀 주거환경에서의 사회적 소통을 위한 계획 방향 연구 (A Study on the Planning Direction for Social Communication in a High-density Residential Environment)

  • The purpose of this study is to present the direction of the plan to transform the residential complex into a space that can provide an open residential environment that can lead to social communication and exchange without being closed to the urban residential environment, especially in the apartment complex environment, which is becoming more dense. As a result of the Openness analysis of the 'Codan Shinonome Canal Court', the overall accessibility was good in terms of space utilization, and the openness was low in terms of the spatial composition, which is a physical environment due to the dense block type. When looking at the overall openness of the Codan Sinonome complex in terms of analysis by block, the corrected openness index (C.O.I) for all six blocks was 0.245, the corrected accessibility index (C.A.I) was 1.447 and the openness composite index (O.C.I) was assessed at 1.692. This was due to the formation of high-density block-type urban dwellings and the introduction of S-shaped streets and the layout of low-rise urban support facilities and commercial facilities. The Codan Sinonome Canal Court, which is considered an "open city residence," quantitatively confirmed that it embodies macro-space structure and human-scale space environment even in high-precision environments.

화재안전을 위한 건축물 용도별 피난리스크 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Evacuation Risk by Building Application for Fire Safety)

  • In Korea, in the case of fire scenarios in performance design, it is assumed that the sprinkler is not working. In addition, it does not applicate various fire conditions. Therefore it is not enough that the accuracy about fire scenario. In foreign countries, reseach is being conducted to predict the casualities that can occur due to fire in the building space through statistical risk analysis. Also, research is consistently conducting for design that consider the sprinker probability of operation. Therefore, to analyze the fire risk of each building in Korea, the risk was analyzed using statistical data. As a result, the risk of casualties that can occur for each building use was analyzed as 0.6(persons/cases) for residential buildings, 0.25(persons/cases) for sales facilities, and 0.12(persons/cases) for buisiness facilities.

옥내배선 길이에 따른 단락 특성의 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Short Circuit Characteristics by the Interior Wiring Length)

  • This paper describes electrical fire on residential environment such as apartment and detached house caused by defect of interior wiring. We carried out experimental study on short circuit characteristics by the interior wiring length. We were measured arc current, arc energy and interrupting time of earth leakage current circuit breaker(ELB), when an interior wiring break out short circuit in residential environment. From the experiment results, the longer of the interior wiring, the magnitude of arc current decreased and the interrupting time of ELB increased. When applied the A maker's ELB, the strength of arc current and interrupting time of ELB was 254 A and 245 ms respectively at 30 m interior wiring length. In 3 m interior wiring length, arc current and interrupting time was 716 A and 4.24 ms respectively. Arc energy was dependent on the magnitude of arc current and the interrupting time of ELB, the longer the interrupting time, arc energy increasing. In this paper, minimum arc energy was 277 J using C maker's ELB and 3 m interior wiring length(arc current 283 A, interrupting time of breaker 6.28 ms). Therefore in the residential environment, short circuit caused by defect of the interior wiring lead to electrical fire.
