The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression analysis. Results : Subjects' clinical competence showed positive relationships with cultural competency (r=.45, p<.001) and intercultural communication (r=.53, p<.001). Factors that affect the clinical competence of subjects showed intercultural communication (β=0.38, p=.001). • Purpose - An appreciable number of small- and medium-sized exporters have continuously succeeded in their export marketplaces even though they do not possess enough resources. Advocating that affiliation with an export service-provider plays an important role in this phenomenon, we aimed to theoretically explain how export service providers' competences and relational factors drive small- and medium-sized exporters' competitive advantages in the long-run. Design/methodology - Drawing prominently on the resource-based view and the relationship-marketing theory, we built an empirically testable model. The model showed the roles of exporter capabilities, export service-provider competences, and relational factors on small- and medium-sized exporters' sustainable competitive advantages. Findings - The results of our research showed that exporter production and branding capabilities positively influenced their sustainable competitive advantage. In addition, export service-providers' marketing competence and relationship-building competence positively moderated the effects of exporter capabilities on their parties' sustainable competitive advantages. Finally, affiliation parties' interfirm trust and relationship commitment positively moderated the effects of export service-provider competence on the relationship between exporter capabilities and sustainable competitive advantages. Originality/value - Although prior studies have highlighted the effects of an exporter's resources on export performance, our research filled a knowledge gap of the effects of other resources on export performance. First, we proposed two types of export service-provider, competence marketing and relationship-building, influencing exporters' competitive advantage. Second, the effects of relational factors were proposed in the context of export affiliations.

Method: The participants in the study were 505 nursing students, 262 associate degree nursing students and 243 baccalaureate nursing students, all in schools in Gwangju or South Jeonla Province. A questionnaire survey was conducted from April 25 to May 27, 2011. Statistical processing was performed with SPSS 18.0 Version and the data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple stepwise regression. Results: There was a positive correlation among clinical competence and professional self-concept, critical thinking disposition. The most effective factor for clinical competence was professional practice in professional self-concept, followed by prudence and objectivity in critical thinking disposition. The total explanation of clinical competence was 46.2%. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate confirm that professional self-concept and critical thinking disposition have an effect on clinical competence in nursing students. Accordingly in order to improve clinical competence, it is necessary to provide practice environment and educational curriculum that enhance the professional self-concept and critical thinking disposition of nursing students.

  • This study examines the effects of university students' types of self-determination and academic emotions on their learning community participant competence. The subjects were 234 early-childhood preservice teachers attending a university or college in the Kyonggi and Incheon area of Korea. The first metric created by Bak et al. (2005) measured early-childhood preservice teachers' types of self-determination. The second metric developed by Kim & Kim (2016) measured their levels of learning community participant competence. The thirds metric, originally developed by Kim (2012) and So (2010), was modified by Chung (2015) to measure the academic emotions of subjects. The test results were analyzed by correlation and multi-regression techniques using SPSS 21 for Windows. The findings were as follows. First, there were significant relationships between the subjects' types of self-determination and the levels of learning community participant competence. Second, there were significant relationships between the subjects' academic positive and negative emotions and the levels of learning community participant competence. Third, the subjects' levels of learning community participant competence were perceived differently according to their academic emotions. Based on these results, implications pertaining to academic emotions on learning community participant competence are suggested.

That is, the parental attachment level of school-age children becomes higher as the self-perceived competence increase. (3) The effect of parental attachment in the school adjustment by children was reducing explanation when controlled for the self-perceived competence. The Parental attachment that influenced the school adjustment is partially mediated by self-perceived competence. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression were used with the SPSS/PC ver 12.0 program. Results: The only gender difference was in depression and girls reported more depression than boys. Social competence showed significantly negative correlations with depression and social anxiety. Gender differences were found in self competence in the prediction of depression and social anxiety. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that there are gender differences in self competence which influence depression and social anxiety. Thus, enhancing self-competence could prevent social anxiety and depression in children but, differences in gender should be considered when developing programs to enhance self-competence.

  • Teacher's competence in student assessment can be developed by the successive experiences that they choose assessment methods, develop assessment instrument, administer the assessment, score and grade students' responses, analyze, interpret, use, and communicate assessment results, and reflect the whole assessment processes. In this study I educated pre-service teachers in order for them to improve their assessment competence. Mathematics pre-service teachers practiced and reflected the assessment processes. In the aspects of reflections, I analyzed their journals about the knowledge of assessment, the dual situation as a student and a teacher, and their assessment practices. These areas are proved to interact each other, contribute pre-service teachers' assessment competence and construct the elements of assessment competence. And I identified the development of pre-service teachers' assessment competence quantitatively by the teacher's assessment competence test.
