This study aims to analyze the representation forms of bloggers' personal style on the fashion blogs and enlighten their values which can be actively applied to design and marketing in fashion industry. Image representation of fashion bloggers is reflected by the characteristics in the digital environment, which are the creative manipulation of expression and the production of virtual and fantastic images by taking advantage of the composite medium such as images, music, videos, articles, etc. Also real time updates in blog indicate the latest trends in terms of the representation of image as the actual currency. The study conducted case studies of 5 women's personal fashion blogs through the verification of a variety of global fashion media and blog ranking sites: Style Bubble, Style Rookie, The Cherry Blossom Girl, The Blond Salad, and Fashion Toast. Research findings are as follows. First, the application of creative design elements is indicated as symbolic items, self-made designs, DIY, and various mix and match emphasizing design elements such as color, patterns, proportion, etc. Second, the virtual representation is very highlighted on the story telling applied by film like production or digital effect. Third, the commercial application with mainly sponsored wardrobe and designer collaboration indicates promoting a updated trend as well as a specific brand or designer to make their business profits.

This paper proposes a new concept in video called Graphical Video. Graphical Video is a content-based and scalable video representation. A video consists of several elements such as moving images, still images, graphics, characters and charts. All of these elements can be represented graphically except moving images. It is desirable to transform these moving images graphical elements so that they can be treated in the same way as other graphical elements. To achieve this, we propose a new graphical representation of moving images using spatio-temporal clusters, which consist of texture and contours. The texture is described by three-dimensional fractal coefficients, while the contours are described by polygons. We propose a method that gives domain pool location and size as a means to describe cluster texture within or near a region of clusters. Results of an experiment on texture quality confirm that the method provides sufficiently high SNR as compared to that in the original three-dimensional fractal approximation.

In this paper, we establish a complex matrix representation of the Clifford algebra Cℓ_p,q. The size of our representation is significantly smaller than the size of the elements in L_p,q(ℝ). Additionally, we give detailed information about the spectrum of the constructed matrix representation.

With the globalization of the film industry, ethnic minority films have been developed and studied by many scholars for their special ethnic representation. The film "Tharlo" directed by Pema Tseden carefully explores the identity anxiety of a Tibetan shepherd. Through the connection and separation between the protagonist and traditional culture, it shows a complexity of modern ethnic identity for minority people. This study explores what kind of cinematic techniques and symbolic elements the director uses to shape ordinary characters, build a narrative space, and show ethnic representation. This paper puts forward a theoretical framework combining cinematic quantitative methods with qualitative narrative and semiotic analysis, aiming to deepen our understanding of cinematic techniques and ethnic representation, and provides a new perspective and profound insights for discussing the complexity faced by ethnic minorities in contemporary films. This study finds that Tseden's "Tharlo" successfully portrays the complex transformation of Tibetan cultural identity in the context of globalization and modernization through cinematic techniques such as fixed camera positions, long take and black-and-white cinematography, combined with the use of symbolic elements like mirrors, lambs and identity cards.

This study focuses on comparative study of the representation of 'traditionality' in Asian hotel guest rooms. Hotel can be a concentration of the country's culture and tradition and provide unique experience to guests through its space, decoration, and material. However, most hotels in Korea are lack of a strong identity based on the Korean culture and tradition, due to adoptation of the western hotel styles without any criticism. The purpose of this study was to investigate the expression methods of the traditionality in Asian hotel guest rooms to provide design guideline to enhance identity of hotel guest rooms in Korea. Through analysis of the previous researches, criteria of the three design application methods and the five design elements were defined to analyze the representation of the traditonality. Design application methods were categorized as "Original form", "Partial adoption", and "Metaphor". Five design elements include "Shape", "Material", "Color", "Object", and "Pattern". Thirty nine Asian hotels containing the traditional design elements were explored in the study. In result, design application methods in Korea used all three methods equally, while other Asian countries used mainly the Partial adoption and Metaphor methods to express their traditions rather than the Original form method. All five deign elements were mostly used in case of the Original form methods, and two or three elements among five elements were used for the Partial adoption and Metaphor methods. The traditional representation of hotel guest rooms in Korea, reflecting current thinking, living pattern and culture, will be a solution for the new hotel design as well as elevation of Korea's status to a higher level.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how the 6 entry plans of Seoul Park in Paris were representing the tradition by comparing and reviewing them. Entry plans proposed for Seoul Park revealed different approaches of representing traditional gardens. Through scrutinizing these plans, some similar and different aspects among them could be found out. In order to find out those aspects, the entry plans were analysed and compared into several categories such as design concepts, programs and spatial components. The main concern for analysing the entry plans focused on the issue of are presentation. Representing a Korean garden into Seoul Park depends on the manner of a representation, their objets and media. Objects are related to the contents. The contents can have various themes, events, places beyond the garedn. Meids is related to represent Korean tradition with what implement. The manner of a representation can be divided into three types; a direct representation, an abstract(metaphoric) representation and a destructive representation. We found the characteristics through analysing the entry plans that 1) Korean terrain, Korean thoughts, narrative promenade, past/present/Korea/Seoul, story telling through the Korea traditional fence were used as design concepts. 2) Traditional elements such as a traditional pavilion, fence, madang, hwagye, gate were generally chosen as essential elements for representing the Korean tradition. 3) Direct representations were ore broadly used than abstract and destructive representation as the manner of a representation. and 4) The entry plans show us a variety of possibilities of representing traditional gardens. Abstract and destructive representations of tradition can be found out in th several plans compared with other existing ocean gardens made in foreign countries. In establishing urban parks and ordinary landscapes, those strategies can be alternatives to represent the identity of Korea by reconciling tradition with invention.

본 연구는 최근 20년간 국내외에서 수행된 야외 지질 답사 교육이 지질학 참 탐구의 특성을 어떻게 반영하고 있는지 분석한 문헌 분석 연구다. 이를 위해 먼저 야외 지질학자의 실제 연구 방법 및 과학 교육학적 중요성을 고려하여 야외 지질학 탐구 요소 다섯 가지(관찰, 표상, 귀추적 추론, 공간적 사고, 통시적 사고)를 도출하고, 이를 바탕으로 탐구 하위 요소를 추가하여 지질 답사 교육 분석 기준을 개발했다. 분석 대상 사례는 총 53건이었고, 분석은 야외 지질학 탐구 요소별 하위 요소 및 탐구 요소 전반이 나타나는 경향에 대해 수행되었다. 분석 결과, 관찰과 표상은 대부분의 사례에 포함되어 있었으며, 귀추적 추론, 공간적 사고, 통시적 사고 순으로 포함된 빈도수가 적었다. 관찰은 목적적 관찰 및 자유 관찰의 비율이 높았고, 표상에서는 시각화 언어화 유형과 자유 양식의 표상이 많이 나타났으며, 귀추적 추론에서는 가설 생성 단계가 포함되는 경우가 많고 가설 내용은 지질형성 과정과 관련된 경우가 많았다. 공간적 사고에서는 자기 위치화 및 공간 배치 형태 인식 유형이 높은 비율로 나타나고, 통시적 사고에서는 층서 유형의 사고가 가장 많이 나타났다. 3가지 이상의 야외 지질학 탐구 요소를 포함하는 경우는 전체 사례의 87%였다. 이 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 향후 참 과학 탐구로서 야외 지질 답사 교육의 활용과 관련한 시사점을 제시했다.

The six core competencies have been emphasized in the mathematics curriculum revised in 2015. In particular, the communication is very important for students' representing their own thinking and enhancing much higher mathematical thinking. Based on this competency, this study selected the four elements of the communication such as the understanding of mathematical representation, development and transition of mathematical representation, the representation of his own thinking, the understanding of the others' thinking. And also this study selected the domain of function which is comprised of the content of the coordinate plane, the graph, proportionality in the seventh grade mathematics textbook. By the subject of the ten kinds of textbook, this study examined how the four elements of the communication competency were shown in each textbook.

Standardized representations and data codes are crucial for the exchange of information between systems, organizations, and people in the telecommunications operations area. ITU-T M.1400 recommends a unified representation for the international network routes which includes such location data elements as Town A, Suffix Code which was designed for the representation of domestic network locations to meet the ITU-T recommendation. This paper suggests an expanded building ID code for the representation of the international network locations.
