OWC based Smart TV Remote Controller Design Using Flashlight

  • The technology convergence of television, communication, and computing devices enables the rich social and entertaining experience through Smart TV in personal living space. The powerful smart TV computing platform allows to provide various user interaction interfaces like IR remote control, web based control, body gesture based control, etc. The presently used smart TV interaction user control methods are not efficient and user-friendly to access different type of media content and services and strongly required advanced way to control and access to the smart TV with easy user interface. This paper propose the optical wireless communication (OWC) based remote controller design for Smart TV using smart device Flashlights. In this approach, the user smart device act as a remote controller with touch based interactive smart device application and transfer the user control interface data to smart TV trough Flashlight using visible light communication method. The smart TV built-in camera follows the optical camera communication (OCC) principle to decode data and control smart TV user access functions according. This proposed method is not harmful as radio frequency (RF) radiation does it on human health and very simple to use as well user does need to any gesture moves to control the smart TV.

  • This growth if WWW(World Wide Web) with the spread of ADSL provides us with a variety of service that are the extensions of opportunities to get information. a various education methods by remote courses and electronic commerce. Remote Monitoring Server(RMS) that uses internet and WWW is constructed for chip mounter. Hardware base consists of RMS, chip mounter and C/S server. In this paper, we realize the remote management system with monitoring and diagnosis function to efficiently operate chip mounter the one of PCB assembly equipment. The remote management system for chip mounter consists of RMS(Remote Monitoring Server) and C/S server. RMS manages real-time information from chip mounter through TCP/IP. RMS that utilizes real-time information informs user of the actual output the operation status of chip mounter, user of the actual output, the operation status of chip mounter, the trouble code and the trouble description.

  • 많은 기업과 단체들은 원격 접근을 위해 스마트카드 기반 사용자 인증을 사용한다. 그 동안 다양한 연구를 통하여 사용자와 서버 간의 연결을 보호하기 위해 분산된 다중 서버 환경에 대한 동적 ID 기반 원격 사용자 인증 프로토콜들이 제안되었다. 그 중, Qiu 등은 상호 인증 및 키 동의, 사용자 익명성, 다양한 종류의 공격에 대한 저항을 제공하는 효율적인 스마트카드 기반 원격 사용자 인증 프로토콜을 제안하였다. 이후, Andola 등은 Qiu 등이 제안된 인증 프로토콜에 대한 다양한 취약점을 찾아내었고, 그들의 인증 프로토콜에 대한 결점을 극복하고 사용자가 서버에 로그인하기를 원할 때마다 로그인하기 전에 사용자ID가 동적으로 변경되는 향상된 인증 프로토콜을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 Andola 등이 제안한 프로토콜의 동작 과정 및 취약점을 분석하여, Andola 등이 제안한 프로토콜이 offline smart card attack, dos attack, lack of perfect forward secrecy, session key attack에 취약하다는 것을 밝혔다.

  • In this paper, we propose a remote controller for robot manipulator using local area network(LAN) and internet. To do this, we develope a server-client system as used in the network field. The client system is in any computer in remote place for the user to log-in the server and manage the remote factory. the server system is a computer which controls the manipulator and waits for a access from client. The server system consists of several control algorithms which is needed to drive the manipulator and networking system to transfer images that shows states of the work place, and to receive a Tmp data to run the manipulator The client system consists of 3D(dimension) graphic user interface for teaching and off-line task like simulation, external hardware interface which makes it easier for the user to teach. Using this server-client system, the user who is on remote place can edit the work schedule of manipulator, then run the machine after it is transferred and monitor the results of the task.

  • This research presents new type of remote monitoring and control solution of PLC that can be used bi-directional and efficient management of factory automation through internet. This system has client/server architect for information handling between PLC and remote computer where a user can control and monitor target PLC. Actually the authors redirect RS232C connection between PLC and server computer into Internet connection between PLC and remote client computer using supplied PLC tool program So user feel like in front of PLC panel when he operates remote PLC through Internet. Each client/server program is constructed with Java language for security. In this paper the internet-based remote control system was proposed and proved validity by being applied to redirection of PLC control for factory automation.

  • 최근 스마트카드를 이용한 원격 사용자 인증 기법은 개인 프라이버시 보호에 대한 관심 및 요구가 증가됨에 따라 사용자 익명성을 제공하려는 방향으로 활발히 진행되고 있다. 초기에 제안된 인증 기법에서는 사용자와 사용자가 서비스를 제공받고자 하는 서버를 제외한 제3자에 대한 사용자 익명성만을 고려하였으나 최근 서비스 제공자에 의한 개인정보유출 사고 등이 증가하면서 제3자뿐만 아니라 원격 서버에 대해서도 사용자의 익명성이 보장되는 기법이 요구되고 있다. 하지만 이러한 사용자 익명 인증 기법은 원격 서버가 사용자의 악의적인 행동을 감지했을 때 신뢰기관의 협조를 얻어 악의적인 사용자를 추적할 수 있는 기능 또한 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 제3자뿐만 아니라 원격 서버에 대해서도 사용자의 신원에 대한 익명성을 보장하며, 악의적인 사용자의 행동에 따른 문제 발생 시에 이를 추적 가능한 익명 인증 기법을 제안한다.

지능형 로봇의 인터넷 기반 원격 제어 (Internet-Based Remote Control of the Intelligent Robot)

  • In this paper, we implement the internet-based remote control system for intelligent robot. For remote control of the robot, it uses the socket communication of the TCP/IP. It consists of the user interface and the robot control interface. Robot control interface transmits the navigation and environmental informations of the robot into the user interface. In order to transmit the large environmental images, a JPEG compression algorithm is used. User interface displays the navigation status of the robot and transmits the navigation order into the robot control interface. Also, we propose the design method of the fuzzy controller using navigation data acquired by expert's knowledge or experience. To do this, we use virus-evolutionary genetic algorithm(VEGA). Finally, we have shown the proposed system can be operated through the real world experimentations.

멀티서버 환경을 위한 생체정보 기반 삼중 요소 사용자 인증 기법의 안전성 개선 (Security Improvement on Biometric-based Three Factors User Authentication Scheme for Multi-Server Environments)

  • In the multi-server environment, remote user authentication has a very critical issue because it provides the authorization that enables users to access their resource or services. For this reason, numerous remote user authentication schemes have been proposed over recent years. Recently, Lin et al. have shown that the weaknesses of Baruah et al.'s three factors user authentication scheme for multi-server environment, and proposed an enhanced biometric-based remote user authentication scheme. They claimed that their scheme has many security features and can resist various well-known attacks; however, we found that Lin et al.'s scheme is still insecure. In this paper, we demonstrate that Lin et al.'s scheme is vulnerable against the outsider attack and user impersonation attack, and propose a new biometric-based scheme for authentication and key agreement that can be used in the multi-server environment. Lastly, we show that the proposed scheme is more secure and can support the security properties.

  • The recent growth of the robot technology has made robots be popular and provides people with many opportunities to apply various robots. But most robots are controlled by its unique program, users feel hard and unfamiliar with robot. Therefore we need to find ways to make user feel comfortable and familiar with the usage of robot. First we will analyze how the user interacts with the robot. Next we will discuss a standard human-robot interface provide more usability with that analysis. In this paper, 10 degree of the Level Of Autonomy(LOA) are proposed. It is evaluated that what interface components and designs are proper to each LOA. Finally we suggest a way to design the standard human-robot interface for remote controlleds robot through handheld devices like the Personal Digital Assistant(PDA) and smart phone.
