  • In this paper we establish some results depending on the comparative growth properties of composite entire and meromorphic functions using relative (p, q)-th order and relative (p, q)-th lower order where p, q are any two positive integers and that of a special type of differential polynomial generated by one of the factors.

  • This paper presents the asymptotic relative efficiency of the nonparametric estimator relative to the parametric maximum likelihood estimator of the reliability function under the proportional hazards model of random censorship. Also we examine the efficiency loss due to censoring proportions and misson times.

  • This paper presents a relative coordinate formulation for constrained mechanical systems. Relative coordinates are defined along degrees of freedom of a joint. Graph theoretic analyses are performed to identify topological paths in mechanical systems. Cut constraints are generated to handle closed loop systems. Equations of motion are derived in the Cartesian space and transformed to the joint space. Relative generalized coordinates are corrected to satisfy the cut constraints by a parametrizatiom method.

  • This experiment carried out to review influence of relative humidity, temperature and net weight on cigarette hardness for the uniformal control of cigarette quality. Obtained results are as follows: 1. The difference in the cigarette physical properties of constant hardness control is considerably lower than that of constant net weight control. 2. Contribution rate for cigarette hardness is relative humidity > net weight > temperature. 3. The multiple regression equation of cigarette hardness related with relative humidity, temperature and net weight is calculated as follows.

  • We derive in the paper the tensor product functor -${\otimes}_R$- by using proper $\mathcal{GP}_C$-resolutions, where C is a semidualizing module. After giving several cases in which different relative homologies agree, we use the Pontryagin duals of $\mathcal{G}_C$-projective modules to establish a balance result for such relative homology over a Cohen-Macaulay ring with a dualizing module D.

  • In this paper, we introduce the notion of T-part of BCI-algebras relative to a subset. We show that if A is a subalgebra of a BCI-algebra X, then so is the T-part $T_A(X)$ of X relative to A. We provide equivalent conditions that the T-part of X relative to A is an ideal.

  • In this paper we shall define a relative Lusternik-Schnirelmann category of a subset in a space with respect to a map which generalizes the category of a space, the category of a map and the relative category of a subset in a space. We shall study some properties of the relative Lusternik-Schnirelmann category of a subset in a space with respect to a map and generalize many results of the above categories.

  • In the present study, a method for measuring the relative density by the hardness measurement was proposed for sintered metal powder compacts. It is based on the indentation force equation, by which the relative density is related with the hardness, that was obtained by the finite element analysis of rigid-ball indentation on sintered metal powder compacts. For verifying the method, it was applied to prediction of density distributions in sintered and sintered-and-forged Fe-0.5%C-2%Cu powder compacts.

  • Nielsen coincidence theory is concerned with the estimation of a lower bound for the number of coincidences of two maps $f,g: X \longrightarrow Y$. For this purpose the so-called Nielsen number N(f,g) is introduced, which is a lower bound for the number of coincidences ([1]). The relative Nielsen number N(f : X,A) in the fixed point theory is introduced in [3], which is a lower bound for the number of fixed points for all maps in the relative homotopy class of f:(X,A) $\longrightarrow$ (X,A), and its estimation is given in [5].

  • Map integration usually involves matching the common spatial objects in different datasets. There have been recent studies on object matching using relative location as defined by spatial relationships between the object and its neighbor landmark. Therefore the landmark selection process is an important part of map integration using relative location. In this research, we describe an approach to determine landmarks automatically in different geospatial datasets.
