  • The main objective of this paper is to connect fuzzy theory, graph theory and fuzzy graph theory with algebraic structure. We introduce the notion of fuzzy graph of semigroup, the notion of fuzzy ideal graph of semigroup as a generalization of fuzzy ideal of semigroup, intuitionistic fuzzy ideal of semigroup, fuzzy graph and graph, the notion of isomorphism of fuzzy graphs of semigroups and regular fuzzy graph of semigroup and we study some of their properties.

  • Programmed grammars, one of the most important and well investigated classes of grammars with context-free rules and a mechanism controlling the application of the rules, can be described by graphs. We investigate whether or not the restriction to special classes of graphs restricts the generative power of programmed grammars with erasing rules and without appearance checking, too. We obtain that Eulerian, Hamiltonian, planar and bipartite graphs and regular graphs of degree at least three are pr-universal in that sense that any language which can be generated by programmed grammars (with erasing rules and without appearance checking) can be obtained by programmed grammars where the underlying graph belongs to the given special class of graphs, whereas complete graphs, regular graphs of degree 2 and backbone graphs lead to proper subfamilies of the family of programmed languages.

  • In this paper we continue to investigate the Super Vertex Mean behaviour of all graphs up to order 5 and all regular graphs up to order 7. Let G(V,E) be a graph with p vertices and q edges. Let f be an injection from E to the set {1,2,3,${\cdots}$,p+q} that induces for each vertex v the label defined by the rule $f^v(v)=Round\;\left({\frac{{\Sigma}_{e{\in}E_v}\;f(e)}{d(v)}}\right)$, where $E_v$ denotes the set of edges in G that are incident at the vertex v, such that the set of all edge labels and the induced vertex labels is {1,2,3,${\cdots}$,p+q}. Such an injective function f is called a super vertex mean labeling of a graph G and G is called a Super Vertex Mean Graph.

  • We introduce a new class of graphs, called quasi $m$-Cayley graphs, having good symmetry properties, in the sense that they admit a group of automorphisms G that fixes a vertex of the graph and acts semiregularly on the other vertices. We determine when these graphs are strongly regular, and this leads us to define a new algebro-combinatorial structure, called quasi-partial difference family, or QPDF for short. We give several infinite families and sporadic examples of QPDFs. We also study several properties of QPDFs and determine, under several conditions, the form of the parameters of QPDFs when the group G is cyclic.

  • This paper deals with the problem of one-to-one mapping of 2$^n$ task modules of a parallel program to an n-dimensional hypercube multicomputer so as to minimize the total communication cost during the execution of the task. The problem of finding an optimal mapping has been proven to be NP-complete. First we show that the mapping problem in a hypercube multicomputer can be transformed into the problem of finding a set of maximum cutsets on a given task graph using a graph modification technique. Then we propose a repeated mapping scheme, using an existing graph bipartitioning algorithm, for the effective mapping of task modules onto the processors of a hypercube multicomputer. The repeated mapping scheme is shown to be highly effective on a number of test task graphs; it increasingly outperforms the greedy and recursive mapping algorithms as the number of processors increases. Our repeated mapping scheme is shown to be very effective for regular graphs, such as hypercube-isomorphic or 'almost' isomorphic graphs and meshes; it finds optimal mappings on almost all the regular task graphs considered.

  • A simple graph is called semisymmetric if it is regular and edge transitive but not vertex transitive. Let p be a prime. Folkman proved [J. Folkman, Regular line-symmetric graphs, Journal of Combinatorial Theory 3 (1967), no. 3, 215-232] that no semisymmetric graph of order 2p or 2p2 exists. In this paper an extension of his result in the case of cubic graphs of order 34p3, p ≠ 17, is obtained.

  • In this paper, we derive analytical closed results for the first (a, b)-KA index, the Sombor index, the modified Sombor index, the first reduced (a, b)-KA index, the reduced Sombor index, the reduced modified Sombor index, the second reduced (a, b)-KA index and the mean Sombor index mSOα for the OTIS biswapped networks by considering basis graphs as path, wheel graph, complete bipartite graph and r-regular graphs. Network theory plays a significant role in electronic and electrical engineering, such as signal processing, networking, communication theory, and so on. A topological index (TI) is a real number associated with graph networks that correlates chemical networks with a variety of physical and chemical properties as well as chemical reactivity. The Optical Transpose Interconnection System (OTIS) network has recently received increased interest due to its potential uses in parallel and distributed systems.

  • In this paper, we consider the Ricci curvature of a directed graph, based on Lin-Lu-Yau's definition. We give some properties of the Ricci curvature, including conditions for a directed regular graph to be Ricci-flat. Moreover, we calculate the Ricci curvature of the cartesian product of directed graphs.

  • We express the Seidel Laplacian polynomial and Seidel signless Laplacian polynomial of a graph in terms of the Seidel polynomials of induced subgraphs. Further, we determine the Seidel Laplacian polynomial and Seidel signless Laplacian polynomial of the join of regular graphs.

  • The homothety classes of lattices in a two dimensional vector space over a nonarchimedean local field form a regular tree ${\mathcal{T}}$ of degree q + 1 on which the projective linear group acts naturally where q is the order of the residue field. We show that for any finite regular combinatorial graph of even degree q + 1, there exists a torsion free discrete subgroup ${\Gamma}$ of the projective linear group such that ${\mathcal{T}}/{\Gamma}$ is isomorphic to the graph.
