When triangular meshes are generated from the point clouds in global space reconstructed through camera pose estimation against captured RGB-D streams, the quality of the resulting meshes improves as more triangles are hired. However, for 3D reconstructed models beyond some size threshold, they become to suffer from the ugly-looking artefacts due to the insufficient precision of RGB-D sensors as well as significant burdens in memory requirement and rendering cost. In this paper, for the generation of 3D models appropriate for real-time applications, we propose an effective technique that extracts high-quality textures for moderate-sized meshes from the captured colors associated with the reconstructed point sets. In particular, we show that via a simple method based on the mapping between the 3D global space resulting from the camera pose estimation and the 2D texture space, textures can be generated effectively for the 3D models reconstructed from captured RGB-D image streams.
In this paper, 3D objects is created from the real scene that is used by an active sensor, which gets depth and RGB information. To get the depth information, this paper uses the $Zcam^{TM}$ camera which has built-in an active sensor module. <중략> Thirdly, calibrate the detailed parameters and create 3D mesh model from the depth information, then connect the neighborhood points for the perfect 3D mesh model. Finally, the value of color image data is applied to the mesh model, then carries out mapping processing to create 3D object. Experimentally, it has shown that creating 3D objects using the data from the camera with active sensors is possible. Also, this method is easier and more useful than the using 3D range scanner.
Techniques to be developed in this study is intended to apply to an existing integrated control system to "A Study on the multiple Texture Rendering system for three-dimensional Image Signal Recognition" technology or become a center of the building control system in real time video. so, If the study plan multi-image mapping system developed, CCTV camera technology and network technology alone that is, will be a number of security do not have to build a linked system personnel provide services that control while the actual patrol, the other if necessary systems and linked to will develop a system that can reflect the intention Ranger.
In this paper, a new spectral unmixing based target detection algorithm is proposed which adopted Iterative Error Analysis as a tool for extraction of background endmembers by using the target spectrum to be detected as initial endmember. In the presented method, the number of background endmembers is automatically decided during the IEA by stopping the iteration when the maximum change in abundance of the target is less than a given threshold value. The proposed algorithm does not have the dependence on the selection of image endmembers in the model-based approaches such as Orthogonal Subspace Projection and the target influence on the background statistics in the stochastic approaches such as Matched Filter. The experimental result with hyperspectral image data where various real and simulated targets are implanted shows that the proposed method is very effective for the detection of both rare and non-rare targets. It is expected that the proposed method can be effectively used for mineral detection and mapping as well as target object detection.
In computer graphics, shadows play a very important role as a hint of inter-object distance as well as themselves in terms of realism. To represent shadows, some traditional methods such as shadow mapping and shadow volume have been frequently used for the purpose. However, the rendering results are not natural since they assume the point light. On the contrary, an area light can render soft-shadows, but its computation is too burdensome due to integral over the whole light source surface. Many alternatives have been introduced, back-projection of occluder onto the light source to get visibility of light or filtering of shadow boundary by calculating size of penumbra. But they also have problems of light bleeding or ringing effects because of low order approximation, or low performance. In this paper, we describe a method to improve those problems using shadow atlas.
In general, Independent component analysis (ICA) is a statistical blind source separation technique, used either in spatial or temporal domain. The spatial or temporal ICAs are designed to extract maximally independent sources in respective domains. The underlying sources for spatiotemporal data (sequence of images) can not always be guaranteed to be independent, therefore spatial ICA extracts the maximally independent spatial sources, deteriorating the temporal sources and vice versa. For such data types, spatiotemporal ICA tries to create a balance by simultaneous optimization in both the domains. However, the spatiotemporal ICA suffers the problem of source ambiguity. Recently, constrained ICA (c-ICA) has been proposed which incorporates a priori information to extract the desired source. In this study, we have extended the c-ICA for better analysis of spatiotemporal data. The proposed algorithm, i.e., constrained spatiotemporal ICA (constrained st-ICA), tries to find the desired independent sources in spatial and temporal domains with no source ambiguity. The performance of the proposed algorithm is tested against the conventional spatial and temporal ICAs using simulated data. Furthermore, its performance for the real spatiotemporal data, functional magnetic resonance images (fMRI), is compared with the SPM (conventional fMRI data analysis tool). The functional maps obtained with the proposed algorithm reveal more activity as compared to SPM.

The performance of peripheral devices is improving rapidly to meet the needs of users for multimedia data. Therefore, the peripheral interface with wide bandwidth and high transmission rate becomes necessary to handle large amounts of data in real time for multiple high-performance devices. PCI Express is a fast serial interface with the use of packets that are compatible with previous PCI and PCI-X. In this paper, we design and verify general peripheral interface using serial link. It includes two kinds of traffic class (TC) labels which are mapped to virtual channels (VC). The design adopts TC/VC mapping and the scheme of arbitration by priority. The design uses a packet which can be transmitted through up to four transmission lanes. The design of general peripheral interface is described in Verilog HDL and verified using ModelSim. For FPGA verification, Xilinx ISE and SPARTAN XC3S400 are used.We used Synopsys Design Compiler as a synthesis tool and the used library was MagnaChip 0.35um technology.

In this paper, we propose the architecture of an IPM based lane detector for autonomous vehicles to detect and control the driving route along the curved lane. In the IPM image, we divide the area into two fields, Far/Near Field, and the lane candidate region is detected using the Hough transform to perform the matching for the curved lane. In autonomous vehicles, various algorithms must be embedded in the system. To reduce the system resources, we proposed a method to minimize the number of memory accesses to the image and various parameters on the external memory. The proposed circuit has 96% lane recognition rate and occupies 16% LUT, 5.9% FF and 29% BRAM in Xilinx XC7Z020. It processes Full-HD image at a rate of 42 fps at a 100 MHz operating clock.
The Pyramid-Technique is based on mapping n-dimensional space data into one-dimensional data and expressing it as B-tree ; and by solving the problem of search time complexity the pyramid technique also prevents the effect \"phenomenon of dimensional curse\" which is caused by treatment of hypercube range query in n-dimensional data space. The Spherical Pyramid-Technique applies the pyramid method’s space division strategy, uses spherical range query and improves the search performance to make it suitable for similarity search. However, depending on the size of data and change in dimensions, the two above technique demonstrate significantly inferior search performance for data sizes greater than one million and dimensions greater than sixteen. In this paper, we propose a new index-structured PdR-Tree to improve the search performance for high dimensional data such as multimedia data. Test results using simulation data as well as real data demonstrate that PdR-Tree surpasses both the Pyramid-Technique and Spherical Pyramid-Technique in terms of search performance.

Background: School is a primary health education setting for adolescents and the continuous support should be provided to renew school health education curriculum correspondent to cultural changes in Korean society. Objectives: This study was conducted to identify the principals and teachers' health education needs for their students and to analyze their conceptual map for health education curriculum at school. Methods: The sample size of the preliminary study was 321 of the teachers in elementary, middle, and high school, and that of the main study was 355 middle school principals and teachers over the country. The self-administered mailing survey was conducted to collect the available health education topics in the preliminary study, to identify the factor structure of the health education topics and to analyze the conceptual properties on health education with exploratory factor analysis and multidimensional scaling analysis in SPSS 12.0. Results: A total of 21 health education topics were collected from the preliminary survey and 31 topics were, comprehensively, generated for the main survey. In exploratory factor analysis, seven factors were generated in 1.0 or greater Eigen value standard. The seven factors were 'life health promotion,' 'disease prevention and drug control,' 'bulling and aggression prevention,' 'injury and sexual harassment prevention,' human-efficacy and regulation,' 'health protection for adolescence,' and 'alcohol and tobacco control.' The educational need scores were the highest in 'human-efficacy and regulation' and 'injury and sexual harassment prevention.' The two-dimensional cooperates were generated for the 31 health education topics and the two dimensional properties which divided the conceptual space were 'health-safety' for one and 'public/environmental-individual/personal' for the other. That is, middle school principals and teachers primarily, understand the health education curriculum in the sense of 'health vs. safety' and 'public/environmental vs individual/personal.' Conclusions: Health education curriculum and textbook should be developed based on teachers' needs and conditions for health education in school fields. The field-based health education programs or textbook would make more possible problem-solving health education for youth in real school fields.
