This paper argues that what Edgar Allan Poe pursues in ;The Man of the Crowd" (1840) is not a story that can be told but an active reading that must be mediated. It is not only because the subject of the pursuit, the secret of the flaneur, remains veiled until the end, but also because the story proves itself to be a reading of various kinds of other texts: that is, the contemporary urban texts as well as the city itself. Although the 'man of the crowd' and his double (i.e. the narrator) embrace the figure of a modern flaneur, it is highly questionable whether the image of flaneur in the story fully qualifies itself as that of an ideal stroller, who can represent the free spirit of a detached collector. Rather, the narrator's flaneur reflects a panoptic perspective, systematically hierarchizing the constituents of the city. Still, it should be noted that ;The Man of the Crowd" raises questions about the idea of creation and appropriation, observation and originality, and reading and storytelling by ascertaining the impossibility of reading and through assimilating to the contemporary texts not without subtle acknowledgement. In short, this novella tries a new way of storytelling, of which meaning is not to be found in creation but to be mediated in modern experiences.

This study attempts to seek a solution, in terms of brain science, to stimulate reading activities of men to whom no attention has been given from the field of reading. In order to do so, brain pattern, reading tendency, reading preference, reading effectiveness and influence of reading were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, first, it showed that respondents' characteristics did not affect brain patterns, but school and social influences on reading were found to affect brain patterns. Second, reading propensity according to gender was observed to be different in terms of personal health, personal self - esteem, and cultural artistry. On the other hand, reading effectiveness was found to be different in terms of reading engagement and the willingness to continue reading whereas reading propensity according to the brain pattern was different in books related to humor and family matters. Third, reading satisfaction, reading engagement and willingness to continue reading all were observed to affect the reading activities of men. Suggesting measures to stimulate reading activities of men based on such findings, first, implementing dynamic reading education programs and finding reading models for men are needed. Second, when selecting books for reading program operations, books should be recommended according to gender rather than being selected en bloc by libraries. Third, since reading education at home shows high influences on both male and male-type brain pattern, the starting point of reading education should be made at homes. In particular, fathers, who can become a role model for men, need a reading role model, and reading education programs for fathers are also required.

본 연구의 목적은 독서진흥을 위하여 표어의 특징, 유형에 대한 이론을 정리하고 독서주간과 독서의 달의 표어를 조사하고 분석하는데 있다. 독서표어를 분석해 보면 간결하고 도치된 표어가 많다. 또한 대구와 반복 음절을 쓰고 있다. 또한 청유형과 서술형, 명사형이 많고 국어로 된 단어가 대부분이다. 그리고 반복하여 계속 사용되고 있고 한 시대의 목표와 철학을 나타내고 있다.

본 논문은 공공도서관에서 운영되고 있는 독서관련 행사를 분석하고, 독서진흥을 위하여 독서관련 행사의 활성화 방안을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. (1) 독서진흥을 담당하는 전담부서를 조직하고 운영한다. (2) 독서진흥을 위하여 도서관주간, 독서의 달 등 절기에 따라 다양한 행사를 한다. (3) 독서진흥을 위하여 이용자를 위한 다양한 행사를 한다. (4) 사서교사 자격증이 있는 사서에게 독서진흥 업무를 맡긴다. (5) 독서진흥을 위하여 시청각실 등 다목적실을 마련한다. (6) 독서진흥을 위하여 사이버공간 들을 이용하여 홍보활동을 한다. (7) 독서진흥을 위하여 관련 단체와 협력한다. (8) 독서진흥을 위한 예산을 증액한다.

이 논문은 독서교육에 관련하여 자격을 수여하고 있는 민간단체를 조사하고, 민간자격을 위한 교육과정을 논의하였으며, 자격을 위한 교과를 제시하였다. 첫째, 독서교육에 관련하여 자격을 수여하는 민간단체가 지나치게 많다. 둘째, 독서교육에 관련하여 수여되는 자격증은 민간자격이다. 셋째, 독서교육에 관련하여 수여되는 자격은 독서지도사, 논술지도사, 독서치료사, 독서코치 등으로 나눌 수 있다. 넷째, 독서교육에 관련된 자격증 수여는 민간자격이라도통합 관리하는 주체가 필요하다. 다섯째, 수여되는 자격을 위한 교육과정과 과목의 선정 및 내용은 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

이 논문은 서울, 인천, 경기의 초 중 고등학교 도서관에서 시행하고 있는 독서교육을 위한 학교도서관의 행사 실태를 조사 분석하여 독서교육 관련 행사의 활성화 방안을 제시하였다. 첫째, 학교도서관에는 사서교사가 배치되어야 한다. 둘째, 독서 및 도서관에 관련된 행사를 해야 한다. 셋째, 학교도서관 홈페이지를 통하여 독서교육 관련 행사를 홍보해야 한다. 넷째, 독서교육 관련 행사 추진을 위한 예산이 확보되어야 한다. 다섯째, 독서교육 관련 행사 추진을 위하여 행정적 지원이 있어야 한다. 여섯째, 사서교사는 사회적 기념일을 통한 독서교육 방안을 수립해야 한다.

독서는 가장 전형적인 지식활동, 정보활동이다. 독서는 현대인들에게 있어서 생활의 일부이며 그 자체이다. 이러한 생활의 일부로서 독서활동은 새로운 정신세계를 창출하는 인지적이며 사회적인 활동이다. 그러나 우리나라 교육현장에서 많은 독서교육의 문제점이 나타나고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 독서능력 신장을 위한 독서활동방안과 학습능력 신장을 위한 독서활동방안이 체계적으로 이루어져야 한다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 독서활동 활성화를 위한 방안으로서 기존의 독서학습활동의 문제점을 분석하고 이를 기반으로 새로운 독서학습활동을 탐색하여 활성화에 대한 모형을 제안하고자 한다. 이것은 독서학습 모형을 기반으로 한 지식창조형 독서활동 모형으로서 독서콘텐츠 관리이다.

이 연구의 목적은 학문 분야별 전통적 독서론의 선행연구를 참고해 문헌정보학 분야에 있어 조선시대의 독서 목적과 방법을 재구성하는데 있다. 선행연구에서 조선시대의 독서 목적은 입신양명형과 도학주의형, 그리고 문제해결형으로 구분하였으나 이 연구는 유교 사상적 용어를 배제하고 교육적 의미로 조정해 '수양을 위한 독서'와 '실용을 위한 독서'로 대별하였다. 또한 조선시대의 독서 방법은 주자의 다양한 독서법 가운데 '숙독정사'의 방법을 포괄적으로 수용하여 설명하였다. 숙독은 한자로 쓰인 독서 자료에 대한 축어적 해독을 위하여 소리내어 읽기, 외워 읽기, 반복해서 읽기를 독서 방법으로 한다. 정사는 해독 이후 깊이 있는 내용의 이해를 위하여 기록하며 읽기, 엮어 읽기, 반복해서 읽기를 독서 방법으로 하였다. 이와 같은 숙독정사의 다양한 독서 방법은 오늘날 독서 방법으로 적용할 수 있을 만큼 유용하다. 아울러 조선시대 독서 목적인 수양을 위한 독서는 오늘날 교양 독서로, 실용을 위한 독서는 학습독서로 이어지는 반면, 문학 중심의 흥미를 위한 독서는 조선시대 독서론에는 나타나지 않았다.

이 연구는 체계적 문헌고찰(systematic review) 연구방법을 활용하여 초등학생의 읽기이해력 향상을 위해 제공된 중재프로그램 실험연구들을 분석한 것이다. Cochrane의 핸드북을 적용하였으며, PICOTS-SD에 따라 핵심질문을 구성하였다. KCI에서 검색된 1,610건의 논문에서 포함기준과 배제기준을 적용하여, 최종 18건을 분석대상으로 선별하였다. Cochrane에서 제공하는 'RevMan5' 도구를 사용하여 비뚤림 위험을 평가하였다. 평가결과 대부분의 영역에서 비뚤림 위험도가 낮게 나타났다. 그리고 이들 논문들에 대한 정성적인 분석을 위해 자료요약표를 정리하였다. 이 결과, 중재프로그램의 유형은 다양하였으며, 고학년생을 적용대상으로 하는 경우가 많았다. 실험집단의 크기는 6명에서 29명이며, RCT 기반 연구보다 QED 기반 연구가 더 많았다. 중재시간은 40분이 가장 많았으며, 중재회기는 8회에서 24회로 나타났다. 그리고 모든 연구에서 중재프로그램은 읽기이해력 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

AMR(Automated Meter Reading) has been considered to solve the lack of meter mem caused by the rise of cost, inefficiency of manual meter reading. Demand forecasting and efficient management of facilities can be accomplished by increasing meter reading efficiency and correcting various data. In this paper, we introduce AMR system using LV PLC in KANG-DONG blanch office of KEPCO.
