In this paper, we discuss the existence and uniqueness of fixed point and common fixed point theorems in complex valued extended b-metric spaces for a pair of mappings satisfying some rational contraction conditions which generalized and unify some well-known results in the literature.

The purpose of this paper is to show that a certain finite dimensional representation of the rational Cherednik algebra of type A has a basis consisting of simultaneous eigenvectors for the actions of a certain family of commuting elements, which are introduced in the author's previous paper. To this end, we introduce a combinatorial object, which is called a restricted arrangement of colored beads, and consider an action of the affine symmetric group on the set of the arrangements.

In this paper, we introduce the notion of a new generalized type of rational F-contraction mapping. Further, the concept is used to obtain fixed points in a complete b-metric space. We also prove another unique fixed point theorem in the context of b-metric space. Our results are verified with example.

For a nondegenerate irreducible projective variety, it is a classical problem to describe its defining equations and the syzygies among them. In this paper, we precisely determine a minimal generating set and the minimal free resolution of defining ideals of some rational curves of maximal genus in ℙ³.

The purpose of this study was to define 'sponsorship' as a kind of advertising tool, and to describe its effects on consumer brand attitude and actual purchase behavior. From previous research results, clothing sponsorship was defined as 'indirect advertisement', which has common ad traits as well as the uncommon ad traits, such as indirectness, emotional affinity, and symbolism. Results from empirical research using 1,227 data collected in Seoul and Kyounggi Areas were as follows ; (1) Television drama clothing sponsorship was proved to have effects on brand image, emotional & rational brand attitudes, decision making process, and actual purchase behavior. (2) Each of drama clothing sponsorship factors, such as 'drama', 'role', and 'actress', had different effects on brand memory and attitudes. (3) Consumer decision making process initiated by drama clothing sponsorship followed two different processes, which were called 'rational' and 'heuristic'. The rational process followed every steps of EKB model, which explained consumer's rational shopping, but heuristic model was closer to emotional and impulsive shopping.

For a smooth algebraic curve C of genus g $\geq$ 4, let $SU_C$(r, d) be the moduli space of semistable bundles of rank r $\geq$ 2 over C with fixed determinant of degree d. When (r,d) = 1, it is known that $SU_C$(r, d) is a smooth Fano variety of Picard number 1, whose rational curves passing through a general point have degree $\geq$ r with respect to the ampl generator of Pic($SU_C$(r, d)). In this paper, we study the locus swept out by the rational curves on $SU_C$(r, d) of degree < r. As a by-product, we present another proof of Torelli theorem on $SU_C$(r, d).

Silverman [14] proved a height inequality for a jointly regular family of rational maps and the author [10] improved it for a jointly regular pair. Most of eco-friendly agrifood processing enterprises in Korean rural area are small and medium-sized business. For this reason, it's hard for eco-friendly agrifood processing enterprises to neither analyze business performance for efficient business management nor establish their own business plan for rational decision-making. Therefore it's necessary to design effective mathematical programming model and to make practical application which can support rational management decision-making ensuring the stable business activity of eco-friendly agrifood processing enterprises. Accordingly this paper focuses on the designing and its application of multi-objective mathematical programming model using goal programming to support rational decision-making of eco-friendly agrifood processing enterprise. Hansalimanseongmachum Food Inc. which runs soy bean processing business making tofu based on regional-based soybean farms around Anseong City will be the specific case to apply multi-objective mathematical programming model in practice. And it will suggest measures to support rational management decision-making of other eco-friendly agrifood processing enterprises.

For a detailed investigation of the dynamic behaviour of slender bridges under wind action especially the motion-induced fluid forces should be available not only for harmonic motions but also for more general ones. If linear transfer behaviour is assumed, the force-displacement relation for almost arbitrary motions can be handled in the frequency domain using aerodynamic transfer functions. In aerospace engineering as well as in bridge engineering, these functions are usually approximated by special kinds of complex-valued rational functions which depend on complex frequencies. The quality of this approximation is evaluated for several bridge cross sections in this article. It is shown that rational functions are for some sections scarcely suitable to realistically represent the transfer behaviour of motion-induced aerodynamic forces for arbitrarily complex frequencies.
