전기철도 구간에서의 철도차량 운행에 따른 연동장치 고조파 분석 (Harmonic Frequency Analysis of Interlocking System for Rolling Stock Operation in Electrical Railroads)

  • 전기철도는 전차선을 통해 차량을 구동할 수 있는 전력을 공급하며, 공급된 전류는 선로 및 접지망을 통해 변전소로 귀환한다. 전기철도 구간에서 철도차량의 운행에 따라 사용된 부하전류는 귀환회로인 궤도를 통해 변전소로 유입한다. 철도차량에서 사용되고 있는 전력변환장치 때문에 부하전류에는 고조파가 함유되고 이러한 고조파 전류가 열차제어시스템에 영향을 주지 않아야 한다. 본 논문에서는 신규로 건설된 전기철도 구간에서 철도차량 운행에 따라 발생되는 고조파가 연동장치에 영향을 주는 지 확인하기 위하여 시험한 결과를 제시하고 있다. 신호기계실에 설치되는 연동장치에 철도차량 운행에 따라 고조파 영향이 있는 지 확인하기 위하여 본 논문에서의 시험은 철도차량이 운행되는 선로변 설비에서 연동장치로 연결되는 부분에서 수행되었다.

  • In this paper, we present a deterioration judgment model of urban rail power equipment using driving history, the frequency and number of failures. In addition, we have developed a deterioration judgment program based on the derived failure rate. A deterioration judgment model of power equipments on metro system was designed to establish how much environmental factors, such as thermal cycling, humidity, overvoltage and partial discharge. The deterioration rate of the transformers followed the Arrhenius log life versus reciprocal Kelvin temperature (hotspot temperature) relation. The deterioration judgment program is linked to the online condition monitoring system of urban railway system. The deterioration judgment program is based on the user interface it is possible to apply immediately to the urban rail power equipment.

  • AC substation of urban transit supplies a suitable AC power on electricity vehicles. AC substation is verified electrical safety of system through pre-operation inspection on electrical installations to be supplied power from KEPCO. However, because test items and method for AC traction system are unprepared on pre-operation inspection, the general safety and performance verification of AC traction system are very insufficient. Therefore this paper analyze the test examples such as factory equipment tests, factory combined tests and railway tests for the safety and performance verification of AC traction system and present a suitable test items and test standard in domestic.

  • 본 논문은 직류전기철도 급전시스템에서 누설전류와 변전소로부터 공급되는 전류의 분포에 대하여 다루었다. 일반적으로 직류전기철도 급전시스템에서는 운행용 레일을 귀로 전류(부극성)의 도체로 사용하고 있으며, 이러한 조건은 추가적인 도체의 설치를 필요로 하지 않기 때문에 경제성을 고려한 것이다. 그러나 운행용 레일과 대지 사이의 저항이 작은 경우에는 대지로 흐르는 누설전류가 문제가 된다. 이 누설전류는 레일 주변에 설치된 지하 매설물에 영향을 미치며, 인체의 안전과도 관련이 있다. 따라서 직류전기철도 급전시스템에서 누설전류를 억제하는 것은 차량의 운전이나 안전 측면에서 중요한 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 직류전기철도 급전시스템에 대하여 CDEGS의 SPLIT 프로그램을 이용하여 레일의 전류분포를 시뮬레이션하였고, 레일의 누설저항 크기에 따른 누설전류 변동치를 도출하였다.

  • The primary objective of this paper is to examine the capacity of electrical transmission in electric railway feeding system. Although supply capacity of railway substation are sufficient and there is no accident, due to the electrical transmission limit of feeding line the voltage breakdown may occur when large capacity of electric load at feeding line exist. So, using multi-port analysis model, we draw P-V curve due to the length of feeding line, load, location and power factor of electric locomotive.   • Automation systems for higher performance and efficiency in railway electrification systems are driving ever more demanding needs for new condition monitering systems which can consist of sensors connected to the substation and catenary systems. This paper reviews the recently developed condition monitering system, based on a IP network-based multi-agent system, wireless communications and sensor networks for railway electrification system. A new concept for information management, condition monitoring and control of power transmission are considered as railway automation in electrification system.

  • The Load characteristic of electric railway requires the power demand of the high capacity which amplitude is spacial-temporally fluctuated due to frequent starting and stopping with large tractive force. The conventional electric railway mainly consists of the resistance controlled and the thyristor controlled locomotives, are compensated for their bad characteristics of the power factor$(70\sim80%)$ with installation of another capacitor improving power factor at the substation. Since 1994, VVVF train car with good characteristics of power factor(100%) have been introduced and operated in Kwa-Chon Line. From the present technical tendency, it is judged that introduction of the locomotive with various controlled methods is necessary. The protective equipments installed at the substation are complicated and various aspects to detect faults and reduce their extension, so the universal countermeasures are required. Specially in the case of the fault occurrence it is difficult to calculate the fault location because of the change in the contactline constant according to modifying the characteristics of the contactline (the dualized catenary wire and extension, etc), so much time is required for the detection of fault location. In BT-fed method distance-relays and fault-locators are not installed, we have so many difficulties in the quick accident recovery.

전기철도시스템에서 궤도회로 측면의 귀선전류 고조파 분석 (Analysis of Harmonic Frequency for Return Current on the Track Circuit in Electrical Railway System)

  • Electric power used in electrical vehicles flows into the substation through the feedback circuit, track circuit. Due to these power conversion equipments in electrical railroads, return current contains harmonics, and it should not affect other communication lines. In this paper, based on the return currents, we measured harmonics and analyzed an influence in railway equipments due to the harmonics. For analysis, we utilize the measured values of return currents measured in track circuits, and predictive values of those compared to the earth methods between the existing electrified sections. Applying the regulations used for Gyeongbu HSL(High Speed Line), the results of measured harmonics have found to be acceptable.

A Phase-shifter for Regulating Circulating Power Flow in a Parallel-feeding AC Traction Power System

  • A parallel-feeding AC traction power system increases the power supply capacity and decreases voltage fluctuations, but the circulating power flow caused by the phase difference between the traction substations prevents the system from being widely used. A circuit analysis shows that the circulating power flow increases almost linearly as the phase difference increases, which adds extra load to the system and results in increased power dissipation and load unbalance. In this paper, we suggest a phase shifter for the parallel-feeding AC traction power system. The phase shifter regulates the phase difference and the circulating power flow by injecting quadrature voltage which can be obtained directly from the Scott-connection transformer in the traction substation. A case study involving the phase shifter applied to the traction power system of a Korean high-speed rail system shows that a three-level phase shifter can prevent circulating power flow while the phase difference between substations increases up to 12 degrees, mitigate the load unbalance, and reduce power dissipation.

철도전기실의 초박형 액체단열재 적용을 통한 에너지 절감효과 (The Evaluation of Energy Saving using Ultrathin Heat Insulation in Railway Electrification Substation)

  • In this paper, because of global environmental problems such as energy shortage and abnormal climate, green energy development and energy saving technology development is being magnified. Heat insulation, the most basic and traditional energy saving method, is highly expected. Especially, simple and advanced heat insulation technique based on Nano material is promising future technology. The railway system also requires heat insulation. Especially, traditional heat insulator such as glass wool has been adopted frequently to rolling stock. The heat insulator is also adopted in general railway service buildings. Take account of cost-effective heat blocking performance, the heat insulator shall be adopted in diverse fields such as electric power, railroad, signal and communication. The only and direct solution for this problem is installing heat insulator with outstanding endurance, corrosion resistance and heat resistance to block outer heat Upgrading heat specification of equipment can be a solution, but since price and maintenance cost rise severely, this plan might be incongruous. In this research, energy saving effect of ultrathin heat insulator film was demonstrated by installing the film on roof of electrical room.
