Application of 3D ADI-FDTD Method for GPR System Simulation (GPR 시스템 시뮬레이션을 위한 3차원 ADI-FDTD 기법의 적용)

  • This paper has been studied a ADI-FDTD(Alternating Direction Implicit Finite Difference Time Domain ) algorithm using an alternating Direction time-stepping scheme for GPR( Ground-Penetrating Radar ) system simulation. We did the numerical formulations for three-dimensional ADI-FDTD algorithm and PML(Perfect Matched Layer), and made an simple experiment on a arbitrary cube with programed algorithms. And then we compared its computed results with those of conventional FDTD.

Design for High Gain Spiral Antenna by Added Conical Cavity Wall

  • This paper describes a design for a spiral antenna with a conical wall to obtain the high gain. The gain and the axial ratio of the spiral antenna were improved by a new design that included a conical wall and an optimized Archimedean slit on the ground plane in a conventional antenna with a circular cavity wall and a 4.5-turn slit. A gain improvement of 9.5 dBi higher and a good axial ratio of 1.9 dB lower were measured by the added conical wall and the newly designed slit from the current distribution control on the ground plane, respectively. The measured return loss, gain and axial ratio of the proposed antenna showed a good agreement with the simulated results. The proposed antenna will be applied to a non-linear junction detector system.

  • 본 논문에서는 운전자의 감성 정보를 이용하여 자동차를 제어하는 새로운 개념의 바이오 멀티미디어 오토 컨트롤시스템을 제안한다. 인간의 감성을 나타내는 생체신호로는 맥박, 혈압, 긴장도 등등이 될 수 있는데, 본 논문에서는 생체신호 중 하나인 적외선 맥박신호를 적용해 바이오 멀티미디어 오토 컨트롤시스템을 구성 하였다. 본 논문은 운전자의 맥박 정보를 자동차로 전송하여, 긴급 시에 자동으로 자동차를 제어하는 시스템 구현에 관한 연구이다.

  • Now a day, the Korean National Railroad is laking new agewith the opening of KTX (Korea Train Express). Korean National Railroad is planning using the GSM-r for put KTX and existing equipment to a good. GSM-R is radio communication method selected by ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System). So a new algorithm for train movement is necessary to radio communication form. This paper is come up with an algorithm for like that situation.

  • As the increasing demand of the radio wave communication and teh progreessing of communication system, the radio interference of neighbor nations is rising in the improtant matter. This problem is a delicate matter which must be dealt diplomatically with by having a distinct technical basis. For our country, after the radio interference has been occurred in TRS service on the south seashore due to the base stations located at Fukuoka in Japan, the radio interference problem of neighbor nations has risen importantly. In this paper, therefore, we has measured the radio wave that reach from Fukuoka in Japan to Pusan in Korea and also collected dat by real-time.

  • In this paper, a CR(Cognitive Radio) based on SDR(Software Defined Radio) is the technology combined a method selecting available frequency by recognizing surroundings with a learning algorithm continuously updating basic functions for communication and various environment parameters. Recently, as increasing demands with development of wireless communication service, CR is in the spotlight as technology using frequency resource efficiently. In order to apply CR system to the terminal and implement it, the research field to be preceded can be divided large as a hardware part and a software part. It can be also divided into RF processing and digital signal processing in the hardware part. In this paper, we look over preceding techniques required for applying CR system to the terminal, and research the forms of the terminal when they practically apply to the terminal.

  • Dynamically exploiting unused-spectrum, cognitive radio has been proposed to solve spectrum utilization problem. In cognitive radio, it is important to minimize the interference to primary service as well as to provide efficient channel allocation. In this paper, we propose a multi-channel allocation scheme based on spectrum hole prediction. Proposed scheme considered both interference length and channel capacity to limit the interference to primary user as well as to enhance system performance. Simulation results show the proposed scheme improves the system throughput.

  • The HF band SSB communication of coast radio station had operated with principal axis of maritime communication until early in the 1990. But, that is changed with development of data communication and satellite technique, which have operated a few by rapidly decrement of user with accomplishment of the CMDSS. Recently, the radio system of HF band is expanded to globe maritime communication, which is support to maritime safety information and data traffic service by low charge with the SSB high speed modem. This study have proposed the digitalize method for maritime communication system using HF band in domestic.

  • In this paper, as a compatible software radio transmission system, Digital-Radio conversion system which can directly change the digital signal generated by the logic circuit into radio signal is proposed. By the vector synthesis method, the digital signals can change directly into radio signal. If such a circuit is realized, RF circuit and an antenna can be composed by the simple one device, and the radio is directly controlled and performed by the software processing which is the essence of software radio. This Digital-Radio conversion system of this paper give many number of communication channels being offered by PN code and offer a hardware design flexibility by digitization, therefore it decrease the percentage ratio of hardware of system and give a more flexible function of software basis. In this paper, the principle of digital to radio signal generation algorithm is explained and the performance characteristics of proposed algorithm is shown in time base by the computer simulation method.

  • The advancements in the infusion of broadcasting and communication and the radio frequency identification technology have made the next generation mobile communication service technology be recognized as an important technology in many different fields and demanded systems of practical service using the technology. Designed in the study was a multimedia platform that would increase the utilization efficiency of limited frequency resources, which made an important part of the next generation mobile communication technology using the radio frequency identification technology, search for vacant frequencies not generating interfering signals to the old frequency users, and consider the growth of infused and complex services. In order to implement the platform, the investigator applied STI as a research model to maximize the functions of a service system and improve reliability. And also suggested IDMA of information required for platform building to maximize the functions of a service system.
