  • 본 연구는 토마토의 단위결과성을 평가하여 육종의 기초자료로 활용하고자 토마토 12계통과 17근연종을 공시하여 수행한 결과, 제웅후 50%이상, 방임시 90%이상 착과한 CLN431-85-13-12, CLN425-130-8-1, CLN435-185-4-9등 3계통이 단위결과성 모본으로 우수하여 선발되었다.

Sphingomonas chungbukensis DJ77의 16S rRNA 염기서열과 이차구조 (Nucleotide Sequence and Secondary Structure of 16S rRNA from Sphingomonas chungbukensis DJ77)

  • S. chungbukensis DJ77로부터 16S rRNA유전자의 염기서열을 분식하였다. 염기서열은 총 1,502 bp로 2000 년에 등록된 부분 서열(1,435 bp)보다 5' 방향과 3' 방향으로 29 bp와 37 bp 길이만큼 각각 확장하였으며, 1 bp가 추가로 삽입되었다. E. coli의 16S rRNA유전자를 모델로 이차구조를 제작하였으며, 네 부위가 특이적임을 발견하였다. Sphnigomonas spp.의 16S rRNA 서열과 S. chungbukensis DJ77의 다중서열검색 결과, Sphingomonas종에서만 나타나는 보존부위와 가변부위를 발견할 수 있었다. 특히, Campylobacter jejuni에서만 나타나는 것으로 알려진 긴 stem loop구조가 서열은 조금 다르지만 구조적 일치를 보이는 유사한 구조를 S. chungbukensis DJ77에서도 발견하였다. 결과적으로, 다중서열검색을 통해 제작한 계통수와 nucleotide signatures분석에 근거하여 S. chugukensis DJ77을 cluster II (Sphingobium)로 분류하였다.

Quantitative Assessment of the Relative Antineoplastic Potential of the n-butanolic Leaf Extract of Annona Muricata Linn. in Normal and immortalized Human Cell Lines

  • Natural products have been the target for cancer therapy for several years but there is still a dearth of information on potent compounds that may protect normal cells and selectively destroy cancerous cells. The present study was aimed to evaluate the cytotoxic potential of n-butanolic leaf extract of $Annona$ $muricata$ L. on WRL-68 (normal human hepatic cells), MDA-MB-435S (human breast carcinoma cells) and HaCaT (human immortalized keratinocyte cells) lines by XTT assay. Prior to cytotoxicity testing, the extract was subjected to phytochemical screening for detecting the presence of compounds with therapeutic potential. Their relative antioxidant properties were evaluated using the reducing power and $DPPH^*$radical scavenging assay. Since most of the observed chemo-preventive potential invariably correlated with the amount of total phenolics present in the extract, their levels were quantified and identified by HPLC analysis. Correlation studies indicated a strong and significant (P<0.05) positive correlation of phenolic compounds with free radical scavenging potential. The results revealed that the extract was moderately cytotoxic to normal cells with a mean IC50 value of 52.4 ${\mu}g$ when compared with those obtained for cancerous cells (IC50 values of 29.2 ${\mu}g$ for MDA-MB-435S and 30.1 ${\mu}g$ for HaCaT respectively). The study confirms the presence of therapeutically active antineoplastic compounds in the n-butanolic leaf extract of $Annona$ $muricata$. Isolation of the active metabolites from the extract is in prospect.

New records of the genus Chroomonas and two Chroomonas species (Cryptomonadales, Cryptophyceae) from Korean freshwater

  • The genus Chroomonas is a group of blue-green colored cryptomonads. This study describes two freshwater Chroomonas species for the first time in South Korea: Chroomonas nordstedtii Hansgirg and Chroomonas coerulea (Geitler) Skuja. We examined the morphology and ultrastructure of these species by light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. These two Chroomonas species were blue-green colored and ovate to oval-shaped. Chroomonas nordstedtii was characterized by two Maupas ovals with hexagonal periplast plates, whereas C. coerulea was characterized by one eyespot with rectangular periplast plates. A molecular phylogeny with data from nuclear SSU rRNA and chloroplast rbcL genes revealed that Korean C. nordstedtii formed a distinct clade with NIES-708, NIES-1004 from Japan, and UTEX 2779 from Colorado, USA, while C. coerulea formed a clade with ACOI 1366 from Portugal.

Phenological Characteristics of Rhododendron Species in Temperate Mixed Broad-leaved Forests of Arunachal Himalaya, India

  • Phenological events of four Rhododendron tree species (viz. R. arboreum, R. arboreum ssp. delavayi var. delavayi, R. barbatum and R. kesangiae) was monitored in temperate mixed broad-leaved forests of Arunachal Pradesh, India. Phenological events like flower bud formation, flowering, fruit setting, fruit maturing, seed dispersal, leaf bud formation, leaf flushing, and leaf shedding were recorded. Indices i.e., phenophase sequence index (PSI), active phenophasic period of the species (APS) and index of reproductive/vegetative activity (RVA) were also calculated. Present study revealed that bark consistency, growth form and leaf pattern of the studied species have showed variations among the species. Rhododendron species exhibited the phenological events overlapping with other phenophases. The peak flower bud formation was observed during the winter; R. arboreum ssp. delavayi var. delavayi start flowering from December, while the flowering in rest three species exhibited during February to April. Fruit setting occurred during summer to autumn while fruit maturation revealed peak during November. Leaf bud formation illustrated two peaks in April and May, leaf flushing exhibited peak in June, while leaf shedding peaked during October to November. Active phenophasic period of the species were found 12 months, which revealed that species engage in various phenophase activities throughout the year. Phenophase sequence index ranged between 0.8 to 0.9 (PSI ${\geq}0.6$), signifies that species have a sequential arrangement of phenophases. Index of reproductive/vegetative activity of the species exemplified >1, indicate that the reproductive phenophases were dominance over vegetative phenophases. The study have provided substantial insight on the life cycle events of Rhododendron species and ecological approaches for further scientific study with recent climate change and effective management and conservation.

간호대학생의 우울, 자기효능감, 생활스트레스가 스마트폰 중독에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Depression, Self-efficacy, and Life Stress on the Smartphone Addiction of Nursing College Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 우울, 자기효능감, 생활스트레스와 스마트폰 중독의 정도를 확인하고 이들의 상관관계 및 영향요인을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상자의 우울 15.85점, 자기효능감 3.19점, 생활스트레스 2.47점, 스마트폰 중독 39.23점으로 나타났다. 일반적 특성에 따른 스마트폰 중독을 분석한 결과는 연령에서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 성별(t=-2.540, p=.014), 학년(F=3.080, p=.029), 스마트폰 중요도(F=16.192, p<.001), 스마트폰 사용시간(F=6.938, p<.001)에서는 유의한 차이가 있었다. 대상자의 스마트폰 중독은 우울(r=.351, p<0.01), 생활스트레스(r=.321, p<.001)와는 정적상관관계가 나타났으며, 자기효능감,(r=-.383, p<.001)은 부적 상관관계가 나타났다. 우울과 자기효능감(r=-.529, p<.001)은 부적 상관관계가 나타났으며, 생활스트레스(r=.568, p<.001)은 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 자기효능감과 생활스트레스는(r=-.434, p<.001)부적 상관관계가 나타났다. 대상자의 스마트폰 중독의 영향요인으로는 자기효능감이 나타났다. 대학생의 자기효능감을 향상시키기 위한 프로그램 및 교육의 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.

THE MINIMAL GRADED FREE RESOLUTION OF THE UNION OF TWO STAR CONFIGURATIONS IN 𝕡n AND THE WEAK LEFSCHETZ PROPERTY

  • We find a graded minimal free resolution of the union of two star configurations ${\mathbb{X}}$ and ${\mathbb{Y}}$ (not necessarily linear star configurations) in ${\mathbb{P}}^n$ of type s and t for s, $t{\geq}2$, and $n{\geq}3$. As an application, we prove that an Artinian ring $R/(I_{\mathbb{X}}+I_{\mathbb{Y}})$ of two linear star configurations ${\mathbb{X}}$ and ${\mathbb{Y}}$ in ${\mathbb{P}}^3$ of type s and t has the weak Lefschetz property for $s{\geq}{\lfloor}\frac{1}{2}(^t_2){\rfloor}$ and $t{\geq}2$.

졸업학년 간호대학생의 성장마인드셋과 셀프리더십이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Growth Mindset and Self-leadership on Career Preparation Behavior in Senior Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 졸업학년 간호대학생의 성장마인드셋과 셀프리더십이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 시도된 서술적 조사연구이다. 자료수집 기간은 2021년 11월 1일부터 30일까지이며, 연구대상은 G시와 J도에 소재한 3개 대학교 간호대학생 173명이다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 26.0 프로그램을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, 기술분석, Pearson's correlation, 통제회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 성장마인드셋은 셀프리더십(r=.343, p<.001) 및 진로준비행동(r=.373, p<.001)과 정적상관을 보였으며, 셀프리더십과 진로준비행동도(r=.515, p<.001) 정적상관을 보였다. 또한, 셀프리더십(𝛽=.435, p<.001)과 성장마인드셋(𝛽=.193, p=.005)은 진로준비행동에 정적영향을 미치며, 진로준비행동을 32.0% 설명하였다. 이에 졸업학년 간호대학생의 진로준비행동을 촉진하기 위한 방안으로 셀프리더십과 성장마인드셋의 함양을 위한 실제적인 전략이 필요함을 시사한다.
