Measurements of solar wind speed near the Sun (< 0.1 AU) are important for understanding acceleration mechanism of solar wind as well as space weather predictions, but hard to directly measure them. For the first time, we provide 2D solar wind speed maps in the LASCO field of view using three consecutive days data. By applying the Fourier convolution and inverse Fourier transform, we decompose the 3D intensity data (r, PA, t) into the 4D one (r, PA, t, v). Then, we take the weighted mean along speed to determine the solar wind speeds that gives V(r, PA, t) in every 30 min. The estimated radial speeds are consistent with those given by an artificial flow and plasma blobs. We find that the estimated speeds are moderately correlated with those from slow CMEs and those from IPS observations. A comparison of yearly solar wind speed maps in 2000 and 2009 shows that they have very remarkable differences: azimuthally uniform distribution in 2000 and bi-modal distribution (high speed near the poles and low speed near the equator) in 2009.

In this paper, we introduce the concepts of fuzzy r-pre-semiopen and r-pre-semiclosed sets. With them we define fuzzy r-pre-semiinterior and r-pre-semiclosure. We also introduce and investigate the properties of a fuzzy r-pre-semicontinuous map, a fuzzy r-pre-semiopen map and a fuzzy r-pre-semiclosed map. These concepts are generalizations of the Bai Shi-Zhongs fuzzy pre-semicontinuity.

In this paper, we show that for a homotopically periodic (i.e., $fk{\simeq}id$, for some $k{\geq}1$) self map f of a Seifert 3-manifold with $P{\widetilde{SL(2,}}\mathbb{R})$-geometry, N(f) = L(f) = 0.

The hyperbolic metric is invariant under the action of M$\ddot{o}$bius maps and unbounded. For 0 < $r$ < 1, there is an r-lattice in the Bergman metric. Using this r-lattice, we get the measure ${\mu}_r$ and the Toeplitz operator $T^{\alpha}_{\mu}_r$ and we prove that $T^{\alpha}_{\mu}_r$ is bounded and $T^{\alpha}_{\mu}_r$ is compact under some condition.

We define and study a concept of $T^f$-space for a map, which is a generalized one of a T-space, in terms of the Gottlieb set for a map. We show that X is a $T_f$-space if and only if $G({\Sigma}B;A,f,X)=[{\Sigma}B,X]$ for any space B. For a principal fibration $E_k{\rightarrow}X$ induced by $k:X{\rightarrow}X^{\prime}$ from ${\epsilon}:PX^{\prime}{\rightarrow}X^{\prime}$, we obtain a sufficient condition to having a lifting $T^{\bar{f}}$-structure on $E_k$ of a $T^f$-structure on X. Also, we define and study a concept of co-$T^g$-space for a map, which is a dual one of $T^f$-space for a map. We obtain a dual result for a principal cofibration $i_r:X{\rightarrow}C_r$ induced by $r:X^{\prime}{\rightarrow}X$ from ${\iota}:X^{\prime}{\rightarrow}cX^{\prime}$.

We discuss an application of 'restrictions on the entries of the maps in the minimal free resolution' and '$SC_r$-condition of modules', and give an alternative proof of the following result of Foxby: Let M be a finitely generated module of dimension over a Noetherian local ring (A,m). Suppose that $\hat{A}$ has no embedded primes. If A is not Gorenstein, then ${\mu}_i(m,A){\geq}2$ for all i ${\geq}$ dimA.

IKONOS image mapping is being considered a possible replacement to the traditional mapping in many countries due to their ease of access to current data and their potential high resolution. Survey Department of His Majesty's Government completed traditional orthophoto mapping of all urban and semi-urban areas of the country. The 1:5000 monochrome orthophoto maps of Kathmandu Valley were completed in 2003. In 2002, as a test, production of a near natural colour Image Map at 1:5000 scale of a part of Kathmandu Valley based on IKONOS data was carried out. A conventional line map plotting of the same area at 1:5000 was also prepared. The objective of the pilot project was to assess the geometric accuracy and the information content of these maps. The details of the study and their results are underlined. The findings of the study helps to explain whether IKONOS image map can replace conventional orthophoto map at 1:5,000 for urban areas of Nepal like Kathmandu.

A set of scripts for GrADS (Grid Analysis and Display System) and R was implemented to produce agricultural climate information using the future climate scenarios based on the Representative Concentration Pathways. The GrADS script was used to calculate agricultural climate indices including growing degree days and cooling degree days. The script generated agricultural climate maps of these indices, which are compatible with common Geographic Information System (GIS) applications. To perform a statistical analysis using the agricultural climate maps, a script for R, which is open source statistical software, was used. Because a large number of spatial climate data were produced, parallel processing packages such as SNOW, doSNOW, and foreach were used to perform a simple statistical analysis in the R script. The parallel script of R had speedup on workstations with multi-CPU cores.

In this paper, we will provide an alternative proof to characterize the pointwise multipliers which maps a Sobolev space $\dot{H}^r(\mathb{R}^d)$ to its dual $\dot{H}^{-r}(\mathb{R}^d)$ in the case 0 < $r$ < $\frac{d}{2}$ by a simple application of the definition of fractional Sobolev space. The proof relies on a method introduced by Maz'ya-Verbitsky [9] to prove the same result.
