In this study, we examined the suitability of ten disinfection models for predicting the inactivation of Artemia sp. via single or combined physical and chemical treatments. The effect of Hydraulic Retention Time (HRT) on the inactivation of Artemia sp. was examined experimentally. Disinfection models were fitted to the experimental data by using the GInaFiT plug-in for Microsoft Excel. The inactivation model were evaluated on the basis of RMSE (Root Mean Square Error), SSE (mean Sum Square Error) and $r^2$. An inactivation model with the lowest RMSE, SSE and $r^2$ close to 1 was considered the best. The Weibull+Tail model was found to be the most appropriate for predicting the inactivation of Artemia sp. via electrolytic treatment and electrolytic-ultrasonic combined treatment. The Log-linear+Tail model was the most appropriate for modeling inactivation via homogenization and combined electrolytic-homogenization treatment. The double Weibull disinfection model was the most suitable for the predicting inactivation via ultrasonic treatment.
This study was conducted to investigate the variation in nutrient composition of oilseed meals and to develop prediction equations for amino acid concentrations. Energy and nutrient contents were determined in a total of 1,380 feed ingredient samples including copra byproducts, corn distillers, dried grains with solubles, palm kernel byproducts, and soybean meal. The ingredient samples were imported to the Republic of Korea between 2006 and 2015. Data were analyzed using the MIXED procedure of SAS. The regression procedure of SAS was used to generate the prediction equation for the lysine concentration using the crude protein (CP) concentration as an independent variable. The concentrations of moisture, gross energy, CP, ether extract, crude fiber, ash, calcium, phosphorus, lysine, methionine, cysteine, and threonine in tested oilseed meals differed (P<0.05) depending on producing countries. The prediction equations for amino acid concentrations (% as-is basis) in the oilseed meals are: lysine = -1.08 + 0.080 × CP (root mean square error = 0.244, R2 = 0.924, and P<0.001); threonine = -0.297 + 0.044 × CP (root mean square error = 0.099, R2 = 0.958, and P<0.001). In conclusion, energy and nutrient compositions vary in the oilseed meals depending on the producing countries. Moreover, the crude protein concentration can be used as a suitable independent variable for estimating lysine and threonine concentrations in the oilseed meals.
The purposes of this study were to develop standardized indices of staffing needs in each school, foodservice system through work sampling methodology . Conventional school foodservices were classified into 5 groups depending on size of meals served. Commissary school foodservices were also classified into 5 groups by cluster analysis using number of meals served, number of satellite schools, and time for transportation of food. Work measurement through work sampling methodology was conducted in 15 conventional and 21 commissary foodservices during 3 consecutive days from September to October in 1995. Statistical data analysis was completed using the SAS programs for descriptive analysis, cluster analysis, and simple linear regression. The results were as follows : Average points of leveling factors of conventional and commissary foodservices were 1.066 and 1.061 , respectively. Mean labor hours per work force was 328 minutes and 366 minutes in conventional and commissary foodservice , respectively. Standardized work time was calculated using leveling factor, ILO allowance rate (175) , and observational work time. The model for standardized indices of staffing needs was developed based on simple linear regression in each school foodservice system. In conventional school foodservice systems(for 100-1,900 meals per day) standardized staffing needs=3.2497 +0.005267$\times$number of meals served (F=273.1, R-square 0.9750, p<0.001). In commissary school foodservice systems (for 200-1,600 meals per day ) Standardized staffing needs=3.393384 +0.0063$\times$number of meals served (F=30.78, R-square 0.6580, p<0.001).

In this parer, we analyze the preamble model in the OFDMA/TDD(OFDM-FDMA/Time Division Duplexing). Besides, under AWGN, ITU-R M.1225 Ped-B and Veh-A channel environments, we analyze capabilities of symbol timing & carrier frequency offset and performance of cell searching capabilities applied to OFDM/TDD system through computer simulation. The performance using Detection Probability, False Alarm Probability, Missing Probability, Mean Acquisition Time and MSE(Mean Square Error) is analyzed. Especially, in the case of symbol timing offset estimation, the preamble structure and its algorithm with enhanced performance are proposed and then compared with existing ones.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to propose efficiency of equipment testing the luminance degradation of OLED. Methods: The degradation model of Exponential model and Stretched exponential model is analyzed by goodness of fit test using calculated R-square. The degradation model having the higher R-square is finally selected. Scale parameter and Shape parameter using the selected degradation model is estimated. The activation energy and current density n using peck model among the accelerated model is estimated. the estimated parameters are analyzed by t-test. Results: The results of t-test show that the estimated parameters on chamber and hotplate are equal statistically. we can know the similarity of the luminance degradation rate and degradation pattern on chamber and hotplate. Conclusion: The result of the degradation test on chamber and hotplate is similar. when the accelerated degradation test on the panel of the OLED TV is performed, hotplate is requiring less samples, time and cost than chamber. so the accelerated degradation test on the panel of the OLED TV using the hoplate is efficient of time and cost.
The best linear unbiased estimator (BLUE) is most suitable for practical application and can be determined with knowledge of only the first and second moments of the probability density function. Although the BLUE is an existing algorithm, it is still largely unexplored and has not yet been applied to channel estimation in amplify and forward (AF)-based wireless relay networks (WRNs). In this paper, a BLUE-based algorithm is proposed to estimate the overall channel impulse response between the source and destination of AF strategy-based WRNs. Theoretical mean square error (MSE) performance for the BLUE is derived to show the accuracy of the proposed channel estimation algorithm. In addition, the Cram$\acute{e}$r-Rao lower bound (CRLB) is derived to validate the MSE performance. The proposed BLUE channel estimation algorithm approaches the CRLB as the length of the training sequence and number of relays increases. Further, the BLUE performs better than the linear minimum MSE estimator due to the minimum variance characteristic exhibited by the BLUE, which happens to be a function of signal-to-noise ratio.

Adipic acid (hexane-1,6-dioic acid) is one of the most used chemical in industrial applications. This must be separated from any environmental contaminant. In this study, adipic acid separation from wastewater by adsorption method onto Perlite or Perlite + Mn or Perlite + Cu composites was investigated. Adsorption of Adipic acid was investigated in terms of equilibrium, and thermodynamic conditions. For thermodynamic investigations the experiments carried out at three different temperatures (298 K, 318 K, 328 K). In the equilibrium studies, 2 g of perlite and its composites were determined as the optimal adsorbent amount. Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms were applied to the experimental data. Freundlich isotherms for all temperatures used in this work gave some deviations with R square values under 0.98 where as Langmuir isotherm gave good results with R square values upper 0.99 at different temperatures. As a result of thermodynamic studies, adsorption enthalpy (${\Delta}H$), adsorption entropy (${\Delta}S$), and adsorption free energy (${\Delta}G$) have been calculated for each adsorbents.
In this study, it is certified that the golden ratio exists in the plants, the animals and human bodies(appearance), and is considered how much the ratio of positive and negative is in the psychological, political, social and cultural aspects. The result of this study shows that the golden sections or golden rectangles of the plants(N=58), the insects(N=44), the animals(N=21) and human bodies(N=260) are equal to $0.620{\pm}0.117$, $0.632{\pm}0.203$, $0.625{\pm}0.138$ and $0.60{\pm}0.169$, respectively. The slope in the regression analysis is equal to 0.627(R-square=0.925, p-value=0.0001). Whereas, for the public opinion poll, the ratios($mean{\pm}st.dev.$) of positive and negative of the public mental phenomena are equal to $0.508{\pm}0.179$, $0.808{\pm}0.216$ and $0.711{\pm}0.128$ in the political, economical, and sociocultural aspects, respectively. The slope in the regression is equal to 0.674(R-square=0.764, p-value=0.016). As results, we show that the golden ratio exists in the plants, the animals and human bodies in nature. This shows that the public mental phenomena has some more negative aspects than positive aspects and explains the shrinkage of the public mental phenomena in the economical field.
To investigate dimensional responses of wood under dynamic temperature condition, poplar (populous euramericana Cv.) specimens, 20 mm in radial (R) and tangential (T) directions with two thicknesses of 4 and 10 mm along the grain, were exposed to cyclic temperature changes in square wave between $25^{\circ}C$ and $40^{\circ}C$ at 60% relative humidity (RH) for three different cycling periods of 6 h, 12 h and 24 h. R and T dimensional changes measured during the cycling gave the following results: 1) Transverse dimensional changes of the specimens were generally square but at an opposite phase and lagged behind the imposed temperature changes. The phase lag was inversely correlated with cycling period, but positively related to specimen thickness, while the response amplitude was directly proportional to cycling period, but in a negative correlation with specimen thickness. 2) The specimens showed swelling hysteresis behavior. The heat shrinkage coefficient (HSC) became greater as cycling period increased or specimen thickness decreased. 3) Dimensional changes of the specimens produced deformation accumulation during repeated adsorption and desorption. The deformation accumulating ratio decreased with an increase in cycling period and specimen thickness. 4) Wood suffered 1.5 times as many dimensional changes per unit temperature variation as per unit humidity variation, and this deformation behaved even more seriously under static condition.

Surface Image Velocimetry(SIV) is an instrument to measure water surface velocity by using image processing techniques. Since SIV is a non-contact type measurement method, it is very effective and useful to measure water surface velocity for steep mountainous streams, such as streams in Jeju island. In the present study, a surface imaging velocimetry system was used to calculate the flow rate for flood event due to a typhoon. At the same time, two types of electromagnetic surface velocimetries (electromagnetic surface current meter and Kalesto) were used to observe flow velocities and compare the accuracies of each instrument. The comparison showed that for velocity distributions root mean square error(RMSE) was 0.33 and R-squared was 0.72. For discharge measurements, root mean square error(RMSE) reached 6.04 and R-squared did 0.92. It means that surface image velocimetry could be used as an alternative method for electromagnetic surface velocimetries in measuring flood discharge.
