The automatic water quality monitoring system (AWQMS) have been installed to immediately response to any pollution incident. It also make it possible to conduct the task efficiently regarding water quality control. The purpose of this study is to enhance reliability by securing accuracy of automatic water quality data through quality assessment (QA) for temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), electric conductivity (EC), total organic carbon (TOC). The result of comparison between manual and automatic data, relative accuracy of general items (temperature, pH, EC, DO) and TOC were mostly satisfied with guideline (i.e. less than 20%). On the other hand, relative accuracy of DO between sampling site and housing site was somewhat against the guideline. The contamination by attaching algae and microorganism in the pipeline is considered as main cause. After backwashing the pipeline, DO concentration was increased up to 53%. Therefore, pipeline management is recognizable as important thing to secure reliability of water quality data.

Particles or deposit formed by corrosion of the pipe material bring about bad influences on the heating systems with inconvenience, energy loss and so on. In order to obtain the non-corrosive environments, the circulation hot water should properly be treated in several ways to satisfy one or more conditions of the followings: suitable pH-level, low hardness, low oxygen content, low conductivity, low level of chlorides and sulphur compounds and low level of solid particles. This experimental study was carried out to develope the new guidelines on the optimal water quality and directions for water quality management in heating systems. As results, it was recommended that the heating water be maintained pH-level not less than 8, hardness contents as $CaCO_3$ no more than 50 mg/L, turbidity no more than 10 NTU and T-Fe contents 1 mg/L below.

Nowadays, concerns have much more growing regarding indoor air quality (IAQ) on the public transportation including railway vehicles. Last year Korea Ministry of Environment (ME) set new guideline for public transportation. In this study several factors were analyzed which may affect comfortableness of railway passenger cabin, and we monitored IAQ parameters (PM10, CO, $CO_2$, VOCs, temperature and humidity) to investigate the present pollution in passenger cabin. In general, the railway air quality was satisfactory. The PM10 and $CO_2$ level on all passenger cabin were below the new guideline level 1 for PM10 $(200{\mu}g/m^3)\;and\;CO_2(2,000ppm)$. Clustering method was carried out to classify the air polluting pattern of the cabin. As a result, the pollutants could be classified to 4 clusters and the origin of pollution is soil, diesel exhaust gas, abrasion of rail and plume.

The research presents a guideline for quality practitioners to provide a full comprehension of differences in theoretical and practical interpretations of assumed sampling errors of and significance probability of calculated p-value. Besides, the study recommends the use of statistical inferences methods with known parameters to identify the improvement effects. In practice, the quality practitioners obtain the known parameters through systematic quality Database (DB) activities.

This paper describes an investigative study for Fuel Filler Door open sound. Using statistical method of analyzing jury preference data, we extract important factor for subjective feeling and also define sound quality index and sound quality guideline for development of fuel filler system.

Since 1990, urban areas have been expanded rapidly due to the concentration of the population and several development projects including large scale apartment complexes and residential developments. Due to these development projects, the quality and functions of ecosystems have been continuously degraded, regardless of public agencies' efforts introducing development index, guideline, and amendment of law for sustaining the quality of ecosystems. Substantial guideline and content cannot expect the sustainable maintenance of nation's natural resources. Recent improve this situation, ecological planning was introduced, but research data of environments and objective systems were not enough showing the limits. The purposes of this study were to reduce the urban sprawl caused by residential development plans for environment-friendly residential developments, to establish applicable ecological planning, and to suggest the land use plans that reduce adverse effects of developments to nature ecosystem.

IMO는 e-navigation을 구현하기 위한 전략이행계획에 따라 e-navigation 소프트웨어 품질보증 가이드라인을 개발하였고 이는 IMO의 회람문서로 등재되었다. 이 가이드라인에서 e-navigation 설계 시 고려해야 하는 품질 특성으로 사이버보안에 대해 언급하고 있다. 2016년 6월 MSC 96차 회의에 미국과 BIMCO 등 주요 IMO회원국 및 기구에서 제출한 사이버보안 가이드라인을 주요 의제로 다룬다. 본 논문에서는 데이터 품질 관점에서 IMO 사이버보안 가이드라인과 e-navigation 소프트웨어 품질 가이드라인의 연계방안을 제시하고자 한다.

While making a vigorous discussion about self-regulation for exponential growth of harmful health information on the Internet, many countries lave made various efforts to select and circulate high quality health information on the Internet. The purpose of this study Is to review the serf-regulation methods of health information on the Internet and to suggest quality control methods of health information on the Internet suitable for Korea. Self-regulation methods of the health information on the Internet include ‘content rating system(or content selection system)’, ‘codes of conduct or guideline’, ‘internet hot-line’, ‘education for information providers and consumers’. Any self-regulation method should be used with other methods. We can regulate health information on the Internet effectively by using both self-regulation methods and compulsive methods such as law. Also information providers, information consumers, specialists, consumer representatives, scholars, governments officers should take part in doing these efforts and make concern.

In December 2006, the Ministry of Environment in Korea established the "Indoor Air Quality Management Guidelines in Public Transportation." As the items of the guideline, $CO_2$(Carbon dioxide) and PM10(Particulate matter). Therefore, the air quality inside the train is supposed to be ruled by this guideline. This study calculated the increase or decrease rate of the $CO_2$ concentration by using the data measured in accordance with flap operation. In case of flap close or open, the calculated $CO_2$ concentration variation was 6.32ppm/min. The $CO_2$ concentration prediction equation was derived from the general equation and the actual measured value are compared with the predicted $CO_2$ concentration suggested during the KyungBu high speed railway construction. The predicted value show good agreement with the measured data.

Six sigma is focused on quality improvement through variation reduction, while lean is on process flow improvement and lead time reduction by waste elimination. However, lean cannot bring a process under statistical control and six sigma alone cannot dramatically improve process speed. Lean six sigma was developed to achieve faster rate of improvement in customer satisfaction, cost, quality, process speed, and invested capital. In this paper we present the importance of using value stream mapping and suggest a guideline on how to integrate lean and six sigma by is proposed.
