  • Educational reform in Ukraine encourages the use of multimedia technologies in the training of specialists in Physical Education and Sports, which is one of the promising directions of education development. Therefore, the article specifies the content of the terms "innovation" and "technology". For modern society, the introduction of multimedia technologies in education is not so much theoretical as pragmatic, since under condition of globalization it concerns its historical development and prospects associated with the so-called "high technologies".Our goal is to improve the training of Physical Education and Sports specialists by means of multimedia technologies. All of innovative technologies can be divided into four groups, depending on the appropriate form of educational activity for their use. The development of multimedia technologies in the training of specialists in Physical Education and Sport at the present stage of education development should be carried out in accordance with the criteria of manufacturability, which are presented in the article: scientism, to rely on the theoretical provisions of pedagogical science and methods of teaching the discipline, socially recognized educational goals, prospects for modernization of Education; consistency, which provides for the interaction of parts and the whole in the organization of the study environment, as a result of which the physical development of the young generation is an integral entity; guarantee, that is, the error between the planned and obtained results should be minimal; manageability, that is, full management of the stages of work of the teacher and students, which make up the completed cycle of actions; mass participation, for the purpose of applying the technology does not depend on the physical training of students, the pedagogical skill of the teacher and the type of educational institutions. The article presents the theory and method of organizing sports events and circuses in the training of specialists in Physical Education and Sports by means of multimedia technologies. In order to increase the level of physical development of a person, physical fitness and the state of health of students, which has a clear trend to constant deterioration, it is necessary to instill love for sports, carry out high-quality training and organize sports events using multimedia technologies. In the process of sports activities, the participants' mental education is carried out. There are two types of communication here: direct and indirect, which are described in the article. In games and sports competitions, there are many opportunities for forming rules of collective behavior. The main issues of the organization of sports activities by means of multimedia technologies have been clarified. During sports competitions, the tasks presented in Physical Education and sports classes are improved, which ensure the improvement of physical and theoretical training of the individual. The pleasure of sports, bright, emotional spectacles, confirmed by multimedia technologies, arises from the participation of the viewer in them.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the lifelong education policy in Korea and Germany, focusing on the historical transition process, and to explore desirable ways to develop the lifelong education policy in Korea. To this end, We compared and analyzed Korea and Germany's lifelong education policy using research papers on lifelong education and practical data published by BMBF, DIE, DVV, EAEA, UIL, and NILE. As a result of the study, German lifelong education policy has improved social and vocational professionalism running programs suitable for the characteristic of region, Korean lifelong education policy lacks civic education in terms of local lifelong education due to political sensitivity. In addition, Germany is expanding the participation rate of lifelong education by constructing an environment where it is easy to participate in lifelong education, while Korea's participation rate in lifelong education is lower than that of advanced OECD countries. At last, the German lifelong education policy pursues a natural change in the needs of the society, the ideological principle of which require education be independent. On the other hand, the study confirms that Korean lifelong education policy tends to be controlled by the central government. As a result of this study, Germany's lifelong education policy provide the following implications for Korea's lifelong education policy. First, This dissertation emphasizes the need for the learner-centered operation as the needs of educational consumers become more diverse. Secondly, It highlights the need for activation of lifelong education in career education. Third, The expansion of the lifelong education budget to support good quality lifelong learning. Fourth, Holistic and long-term system for sustainable lifelong learning society needs to be structured.

  • Although the use of kiosks is increasing recently, the digital divide for the elderly who uses them is not decreasing. We live in an environment where the use of kiosks is becoming a necessity rather than an option. In such an environment, the digital alienation of the elderly is becoming a problem directly related to the quality of life. Even if a kiosk is developed considering the elderly, the verification of its effectiveness is ambiguous, or in most cases, it depends on the designer's experiential ability rather than the consideration of usability. In this study, the usability of the kiosk was analyzed for the development of kiosk contents for the elderly. The metrics were defined as availability, usefulness, efficiency, attractiveness, and visibility. And the measurement method of the measurement index was developed, and the usability of the kiosk for the elderly was confirmed by performing usability evaluation. This is a method to verify whether the kiosk in the development process can support the elderly or whether the improved kiosk actually increases the usability of the elderly. As a result, it is expected to contribute to improving the accessibility of the kiosk.

  • This study aims to improve the runoff modeling accuracy of a basin using Hydrological Simulation Program-FORTRAN (HSPF) model by considering nonhomogeneous characteristics of a basin. By entering classified values according to the various types of land cover and soil to the parameters in HSPF-roughness coefficient (NSUR), infiltration (INFILT), and evapotranspiration (LZETP)- the heterogeneity of the Yongdam Dam basin was reflected in the model. The results were analyzed and compared with the one where the parameters were set as a single value throughout the basin. The flow rate and water quality simulation results showed improved results when classified parameters were used by land cover and soil type than when single values were used. The parameterization changed not only the flow rate, but also the composition ratio of each hydrologic components such as surface runoff, baseflow, and evapotranspiration, which shows the impact of the value set to a parameter on the entire hydrological process. This implies the importance of considering the heterogeneous characteristics of the land cover and soil of the basin when setting the parameters in a model.

  • Housing issues such as mushrooming slums remain as chronic in most developing countries. Due to the state's restrained capacity, the housing-vulnerable's self-help approaches have been increasingly inevitable and vital for addressing the housing issues. However, there are still two challenges: securing good quality with economic efficiency, and climate change mitigation and adaptation. This study aims at doing an architectural experiment by developing and educating the production of eco-friendly interlocking stabilized soil bricks (ISSB) by employing vernacular materials and technologies for housing-vulnerable communities in Indonesia. In collaboration with a local architectural NGO, the study features a co-creation workshop in which 40 evicted households participate in the whole process. Soil analysis, mixed design, compression tests, and economic analysis are carried out. This paper illustrates that ISSB also has a high potential as an alternative to a burned brick or a cement block. The application of ISSB to self-help housing is expected to have socioeconomic and environmental effects, thereby facilitating the housing-vulnerable's self-help approaches and contributing to addressing the housing challenges in Indonesia.

  • This study tried to develop and implement a class model that can apply the teaching method that can operate learner-centered classes in university education to the class operation of the entire university, not individuals. For the development of the instructional model, the final model was derived through analysis of prior research, expert review, derivation of instructional model and design principles, pilot operation, primary questionnaire analysis, model and design strategy revision, and secondary questionnaire analysis. Shift_N+1 class consists of 6 models, and each model was divided into 3 parts. It was a preliminary learning using video, a face-to-face class for question-and-answer and in-depth learning on the core content, and feedback and process evaluation for individual student. We have built our own computer system so that we can implement this every week. The teaching method model that can apply the learner-centered curriculum to all classes at the university was standardized. The Shift_N+1 teaching method seeks to maximize the learner-centered learning effect by reflecting the characteristics of the subject, and to improve the quality of education by identifying students' achievements by week.

  • Noise generated during the acquisition and transmission of CT images acts as a factor that degrades image quality. Therefore, noise removal to solve this problem is an important preprocessing process in image processing. In this paper, we remove noise by using a deformable convolutional autoencoder (DeCAE) model in which deformable convolution operation is applied instead of the existing convolution operation in the convolutional autoencoder (CAE) model of deep learning. Here, the deformable convolution operation can extract features of an image in a more flexible area than the conventional convolution operation. The proposed DeCAE model has the same encoder-decoder structure as the existing CAE model, but the encoder is composed of deformable convolutional layers and the decoder is composed of conventional convolutional layers for efficient noise removal. To evaluate the performance of the DeCAE model proposed in this paper, experiments were conducted on CT images corrupted by various noises, that is, Gaussian noise, impulse noise, and Poisson noise. As a result of the performance experiment, the DeCAE model has more qualitative and quantitative measures than the traditional filters, that is, the Mean filter, Median filter, Bilateral filter and NL-means method, as well as the existing CAE models, that is, MAE (Mean Absolute Error), PSNR (Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio) and SSIM. (Structural Similarity Index Measure) showed excellent results.
