For the accurate generation of DEMs, the determination of match quality in adaptive least square matching algorithm is significantly important. Traditionally, only the degree of convergence of a solution matrix in least squares estimation has been considered for the determination of match quality. It is, however, not enough to determine the true match quality. This paper reports two approaches of match quality determination based on adaptive least square correlation : the conventional if-then logic approaches with scene geometry and correlation as additional quality measures; and, the fuzzy logic approaches. Through these, accurate decision of match quality will minimize the number of blunder and maximize the number of exact match. The proposed methods have been tested on JERS and SPOT images and the results show good performance.

This paper deals with the performance evaluation of determining production size specifications. A customer who does not find the size specification he or she wants may purchase rather a larger or smaller one, but the purchasing desire decreases as the difference between the required and the prepared sizes increases. Introducing a generalized quality loss function which reflects how much the purchasing desire changes according to the difference, Park and Kim(1992) formulated a mathematical model for determining the size specifications so as to minimize the expected loss. Afterward the model has been applied to the determination of sizing system for mail order clothing and brassiere (Lee and Choi, 1996; Chun, et.al., 1996). The performance of the size determination method proposed by Park and Kim is evaluated in this paper. Usually the intervals between two successive size specifications are determined to be equal, but the size determination method compares favorably with the equidistance case, and more favorably if the population distribution is more skewed.

In supply chain, the quality level of assembly factory depends on the quality levels of suppliers and it is very important to integrate efforts improving the quality levels between producer and suppliers, In this paper, we consider an integrated determination problem of quality specification levels of suppliers. The cost model is developed and the optimal policy under a specific model assumption is obtained. A numerical example is studied.

Recently, as the raw water quality becomes to be polluted and the seasonal and local variation of water quality becomes to be severe, an exact control of coagulant dosing have been required in the water treat- ment plant. The amounts of coagulant is related to the raw water quality such as turbidity, alkalinity, water temperature, pH and edectrical conductivity. However the process of chemical reaction has not been clarified so far, so the dosing rate has been decided by jar-test, which is taken one or two hours. For the sake of this coagulant dosing control, fuzzy neural network to fuse fuzzy logic and neural network was proposed, and the scheme was applied to automatic determination of coagulant dosing rate. This controller can automatically identify the if-then rules and tune the membership functions by utilizing expert's cintrol data. It is shown that determination of coagulant dosing rate according to real time sensing of water quality is very effect.

Taguchi's parameter design is a method for quality improvement by making the performance fo a system robust to noise. Parameter design with dynamic characteristics has been recently the subject of much interest. This paper is concerned with a review and a generalization of the Signal-to-Noise (SN) ratio, a quality measure for parameter design with dynamic characteristics, proposed by Taguchi. We present a method for determination and analysis of the generalized SN ratio and illustrate its implementation by example.

본 연구는 성인초기 지적장애인을 연구대상으로 하여 가족기능의 조절효과를 중심으로 지적장애인의 자기 결정이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 본 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해, 성인초기 지적장애인으로, 지적 장애진단을 받은 만 18세에서 만 25세인 지적장애인으로 정하고, 지역사회에서 생활하고 있는 장애인을 선정하였으며, 설문 진행의 어려움을 감안하여 성인초기 지적장애인들이 가장 많이 이용하고 있는 주요 복지기관을 선정하여 편의표집을 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지적장애인의 "자기결정(자율성, 심리적 역량, 자아실현)"은 "삶의 질(신체적 안녕, 물리적 안녕, 사회적 안녕, 생산적 활동 및 발달, 심리·정서적 안녕)"에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째 지적장애인의 "인구통계학적 특성(성별, 종교유무, 근로여부)"에 따라 "자기결정(자율성, 심리적 역량, 자아실현)"의 차이는 발생하지 않았다. 셋째, 지적장애인의 "인구통계학적 특성(성별, 종교유무, 근로여부)"에 따른 "삶의 질(신체적 안녕, 물리적 안녕, 사회적 안녕, 생산적 활동 및 발달, 심리·정서적 안녕)"은 차이가 발생하였다. 넷째, 지적 장애인의 "자기결정"과 "삶의 질"의 관계에서 가족기능의 조절효과가 발생하였다. 본 연구는 성인초기 지적장애인을 대상으로 당사자의 관점에서 바라본 자기결정과 가족기능, 삶의 질에 대한 관계를 검증함으로써 장애인복지 실천현장에서 이들에게 제공되어야 하는 서비스 실천방향을 제시하였다는 측면에서 의미가 있다.

The virtual space of internet has changed the existed market structure as more and more internet users have highly increased. And this situation has given a golden opportunity to the internet service firms that are supposed to meet their customers through the internet web sites. So, it is becoming a critical issues to construct and keep better web sites than their competitors to the internet service firms. This paper is intented as an investigation of determination factors of internet web site quality further, which of them are more important factors to the consumer satisfaction. For this purpose, empirical approach using factor analysis, regression analysis was used to develop dimensions of internet web site quality and to explore more important factors that internet service firms should choice to have competitiveness. Empirical results of the study presented that the determination factors of internet web site quality were composed of five factors like Responsiveness, Accessibility, Ease of use, System Performance, Communication. And we found that Communication and Ease of use are more important factors than other ones. Therefore, the internet service firms that are plan to have more competitiveness than their competitors should choice these important factors and concentrate on these ones to build excellent internet web sites.

A new modified carbon paste electrode (CPE) was constructed based on nickel oxide nanoparticles (NiONPs) and graphene nanosheets (Gr) for simultaneous determination of paracetamol (PCM) and mefenamic acid (MFA) in aqueous media and pharmaceutical dosage forms. NiONPs were synthesized via a simple and inexpensive technique and characterized using X-ray diffraction method. Scanning electron microscopy was used for the characterization of the morphology of modified carbon paste electrode (NiONPs/Gr/CPE). Voltammetric studies suggest that the NiONPs and Gr provide a synergistic augmentation that can increase current responses by improvement of electron transfers of these compounds on the NiONPs/Gr/CPE surface. Using cyclic voltammetry, the NiONPs/Gr/CPE showed good sensitivity and selectivity for the determination of PCM and MFA in individually or mixture standard samples in the linear range of $0.1-30{\mu}g\;mL^{-1}$. The resulted limit of detection and limit of quantification were 20 and $60ng\;mL^{-1}$ for PCM, 24 and $72ng\;mL^{-1}$ for MFA, respectively. The analytical performance of the NiONPs/Gr/CPE was evaluated for the determination of PCM and MFA in pharmaceutical dosage forms with satisfactory results.

This paper is concerned with cost analysis and determination of warranty period in a stepdown warranty policy. Manufacturer's warranty cost is analyzed for nonrepairable item, where the warranty is assumed to be renewed at any failure within the warranty period. It is shown that from this result in free replacement policy, pro-rata policy and hybrid policy can be easily calculated. The method of determining optimal warranty period is also explored.
