품질분임조 활동이 품질분임조 성과 및 기업의 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Quality Circle Activities upon Quality Circle Performance and Business Performance)

  • The purpose of this research is to identify the effect of quality circles activities upon quality circles performance and business performance. Empirical results indicate that quality circle activities influence on quality circles performance in both individual and enterprise level, Quality circles performance influences on not employment satisfaction but customer satisfaction, business performance (profitability and market values) of companies with quality circles is higher than that of companies without quality circles. In conclusion, quality circle activities influence on quality circles performance that effect on business performance.

  • In 1999, Six Sigma was introduced into Korea and after that it had general influence on company-wide management system. Quality Circles apply the various quality problem solving techniques such as QC 7 Tool, New QC 7 Tool, and statistical methods to rationalization, improvement in the shop floor. This paper empirically investigates the effects of Six Sigma on Quality Circles by analyzing the difference of problem solving technique's use. The number of teams employed in this study is 342, which participate in National Quality Circles Contest from 1997 to 2002 in Korea.

  • Data on nearly one hundred thousands of Korean quality circles, registered with KSA(Korean standard association), are classified by regional groups, size, and industry. The classified data are analyzed in order to investigate the actual state of quality circles. Some international comparisons such as managerial objectives for introducing quality circles are also included.

  • The paper aims to apply a model of continuous quality improvement (CQI) to Taiwan provincial Pin Ton hospital. Tools of quality control were used both total quality management (TQM) and quality control circle (QCC) in order to approach the objective of ${\ulcorner}$higher quality, higher efficiency, lower cost${\lrcorner}$. During two years, this hospital has organized thirteen QC circles that were classified three categories according to that objective: four circles work for higher quality; the other four circles work for higher efficiency; five circles for lower cost. After implementation, several results were found from two viewpoints. From viewpoint of tangibility, one of the most outcomes is to reduce labor cost from 56 persons to 28 persons of temporary employees. From viewpoint of intangibility, the result was evaluated using radar chart to compare the difference after improvement. This paper is going to report the process of CQI for the hospital management because it is a new issue in Taiwan since 1997

  • 본 연구는 국내 기업의 품질경영에서 활용되는 대표적 활동인 품질분임조와 6시그마의 발전단계를 분류하기 위해서 기존연구에 대한 문헌을 고찰한다. 그리고 고찰한 기존연구를 토대로 Van der Wiele(1988)의 fad, fashion, fir 분류체계를 이용해서 현재 국내 품질분임조와 6시그마 활동의 발전단계를 분류해서 현재 위치와 성장 가능성을 파악하고자 한다. 따라서 기존 문헌연구를 통해서 품질경영활동의 발전단계를 연구주제별 분류 및 학문적 관점과 기업적 관점으로 고찰한 결과, 현재 국내 품질분임조활동은 지속적 유행(fashlon) 과 정상적 적합상태(fit)의 중간 단계로 분류해볼 수 있었고 더 이상의 성장이 없는 혼란한 상태라고 볼 수 있었다. 그리고 우리나라의 6시그마 활동은 지속적 유행(fashion) 상태로 분류되었고 앞으로 계속해서 성장 발전해 나아갈 것으로 볼 수 있다.

최근 분임조 문집의 경향과 이에 따른 문제점 개선방안에 관한 연구 -전국분임조대회 수상기업 중심으로 (Research on the recent tendency of quality circle papers and improvement plans)

  • Purpose: This research is to find the general and somewhat prevailing problems in quality circle papers. Many quality circles try to benchmark awarded papers even though they may have common problems. By pointing out popular problems in papers, many quality circles hopefully could be guided to the right direction in working out improvement actions. Methods: Many papers awarded in national quality circle conferences are deeply analyzed to figure out common problems. 69 recent papers are analyzed step by step and the most important and frequently occurring problems in each step are indicated. Results: Many prevailing problems are found in each step of QC stories. Especially finding themes, Grasping status quo, Cause analysis, Setting targets, Development of and Implementing counter attacks are the most common areas that have problems. Conclusion: Some problems are already too popular to be recognized as problems. In this paper those problems are logically criticized and thereby right directions for future quality circle activities are proposed.

  • The purpose of this study is to find the problems, which occurs in the course of the acceptance and the propulsion of the Q. C. circle, the accomodational attitude, and the desirable circumstances for the Q. C. circles, to be of help to settle firmly the "Sae-ma-eul" (New-Community) Movement in the industrial fields, and Q. C. circle and to fix the Q. C. of Korean style through the investigation of the 310 Q. C. circles, which was selected at random from entered circles to the Q. C. Propulsion Headquarters until July, 1977, through the questionaire and interviews.

  • 최근 새롭게 6시그마를 도입한 기업과 이미 장기간 품질분임조 활동을 진행해 왔던 제조업체를 중심으로 기존의 분임조 활동을 어떻게 6시그마와 연계시킬 것인지에 대한 논의가 활발한 상황이다. 본 연구는 품질분임조 활동과 6시그마를 결합한 절차를 실제 생산 공정 문제에 적용하고 그 효과를 입증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 즉, 품질개선 활동의 단계적 절차를 수행함에 있어, 문제정의(Define), 측정(Measure), 분석(Analyze) 등의 초기 단계에서는 6시그마의 절차를, 개선(Improve)과 관리(Control)에 해당하는 후반부에서는 PDCA사이클을 중심으로 한 품질분임조 기법을 활용하였다. 특히 개선대상 과제(테마)를 선정함에 있어 계층의사결정(AHP)을 활용함으로써 보다 합리적인 의사결정을 추구하였으며, 실험계획법을 통해 공정 개선을 위한 최적의 대안을 선정하기도 하였다. 제안된 절차의 적용결과 불량률이 현저히 감소하고 상당한 비용절감의 효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In this age of infinite competition, quality control plays a huge part in deciding whether companies survive or not. In order to successfully solve the fundamental questions of quality in corporate management under the given circumstances, I suggest that the followings are vital: 1) continuous training of employees and competence development; 2) advocating employees' voluntary involvements and their will to work; 3) revitalizing quality circle activities. Activities of quality circles, which are organized to work out fundamental problems within the corporation, are important in renovating the existing administration. Thus, the purpose of this study is to understand the degree of influence quality circle activities have on the management outcome of the corporation by analyses of actual proofs, and to raise the importance of these activities. Moreover, it purports to provide the foundation for domestic companies to move toward becoming competitive advantage organizations by endowing them with the motivation to activate quality circles.

  • This study aims to improve the activities of Quality Circle of Korea companies. For this purpose we studied the fctors to influence the performances of Quality Circle activities, and based upon this result we suggested the improvement method of Quality circle activities. This study will give one way of activating the Quality Circles of our companies.
