Exploring Lecturers' Perceptions of Virtual University General English Courses

  • This research explored the impact the thoughts and opinions of lecturers teaching university general English courses have on their virtual classes and discussed the differences and similarities in their perspectives. As a research methodology, the Q-method was used, which usually consists of five steps: Q-population, Q-statements, Q-participants, Q-sorting, and factor analysis using PQMethod, a computer software program. A total of 30 statements were finally selected and 26 people directly involved in teaching online university general English courses were selected as participants in this study. Based on the results of the factor analysis, this research discovered three different factors, which were interaction & content-oriented, online teaching favored, and content-oriented. The results of this study can contribute to developing the future directions of virtual university general English classes to help learners improve their English skills and prepare lecturers for the future.

  • 원료삼 생산에 있어 총수익(R)을 결정하는 4요인 승법 모형을 설정하고 (R=AYQP) 세 농가의 수납실적 수치를 사용하여 총수익 결정식임을 확인하였다. 4요소는 자본요소인 재배면적(A), 기술요소인 단위수량(Y)과 가중평균 품질등급(Q) 그리고 시장요소인 평균등급 가격(P)의 3요소로 해석하였다. 기술요소인 YQ는 자본(A)과 수익(R)의 직선모형에서 기울기가 되어 단위자본의 수익창출계수임을 밝혔다. 수익결정식은 인삼산업의 발전이 재배수량과 품질 향상기술 YQ를 증대시켜 면적(A)을 감소시킴으로서 수익(R)을 높여 시장가격(P)을 낮추는데 있음을 보여주었다.

Numerical Method for Computing the Resonant Frequencies and Q-factor in Microwave Dielectric Resonator

  • The dielectric resonators(DRs) with dielectric properties are widely used in microwave integrated circuit(MICs) and monolithic microwave integrated circuits(MMICS). The variational method as numerical simulation scheme would be applied to calculate the resonant frequencies(fr) and Q-factors of microwave dielectric resonators. The dielectric resonator with a cylindrical “puck” structure of high dielectric material is modeled in this simulation. The parameters, such as the diameter, the height, and the dielectric constant of dielectric resonator, would determine the resonant frequency and the Q-factor. The relationship between these parameters would effect each other to evaluate the approximate resonant frequency. This simulation method by the variational formula is very effective to calculate fr, and Q-factor. in high frequency microwave dielectric resonator The error rate of the simulation results and the measured results would be considered to design the microwave dielectric resonators.

  • The multi layer spiral inductors, which enhance the quality factor Q of an inductor fabricated on the silicon substrate, has been designed using a TSMC CMOS 0.2sum 1-poly 5-metal layer technology. To investigate the performance of the designed inductors, a 2.5-dimensional field simulation tool(Momentum) is used. The simulation results show that the quality factor Q of the 5-metal inductor is improved 1.8 times over that of a convention31 spiral inductor at 2GHz for wireless LAN applications.

  • In the previous paper, we already discussed about the factor effected upon the initial maximum value of heat flux ($q_{max}$). Thermal conductivity, thermal transmittance and surface air cavity of wool fabrics were examind and their correlation to the $q_{max}$ was also studied In this study, the other factor was examined which had on effect upon the qmaf of an objective measure of warm/cool feeling. It was studied that the qmax correlated to the surface sturucture parameters (compression, friction, smoothness, roughness, thickness and weight). It was concerned to the degree of warm/cool feeling when we touched hand on fabrics. We selected twenty sorts of pure wool woven fabrics for men's fall-winter cloth (all Wool). The conclusions are as follow; 1. There was a good correlation between the $q_{max}$ and the compression property. 2. The surface structure parameters, smoothness and roughness, made various effects on the $q_{max}$, when the samples touched on a thin copper plate. So, there was not a certain correla-tion to the $q_{max}$.

Pb(La,Ce)$TiO_3$계 세라믹스의 길이와 두께비($\ell$/t)에 따른 공진특성 (Resonant Characteristics as the Variations of $\ell$/t(length/thicknes) Ratio of Pb(La,Ce)$TiO_3$ System Ceramics)

  • In this study, Pb(La,Ce)Ti $O_3$ ceramics were manufactured for 20 MHz resonator application. Electromechanical coupling factor( $k_{t}$, $k_{t3}$, mechanical quality factor( $Q_{mt}$ , $Q_{mt3}$ and dydnamic range (D.R) of thickness vibration mode were measured as the variations of $\ell$/t(length/thickness) ratio of ceramic substrates. Mechanical quality factor( $Q_{mt3}$) and dynamic range of third overtone thickness vibration mode showed the highest value of 2,773 and 52.22dB at specimen S4($\ell$/t=12), respectively. The excellent temperature stability of resonant frequency suitable for resonator application was shown, regardless of thermal shock.k.ock.k.

JPEG 재압축이 컬러 이미지 품질에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A study on the effect of JPEG recompression with the color image quality)

  • Joint photographic experts group (JPEG) is a standard still-image compression technique, established by the international organization for standardization (ISO) and international telecommunication standardization sector (ITUT). The standard is intended to be utilized in the various kinds of color still imaging systems as a standard color image coding format. Because JPEG is a lossy compression, the decompressed image pixel values are not the same as the value before compression. Various distortions of JPEG compression and JPEG recompression has been reported in various papers. The Image compressed by JPEG is often recompressed by same type compression method in JPEG. In general, JPEG is a lossy compression and the quality of compressed image is predicted that is varied in according to recompression Q-factor. In this paper, four difference color samples(photo image, gradient image, gradient image, vector drawing image, text image) were compressed in according to various Q-factor, and then the compressed images were recompressed according to various Q-factor once again. As the result, this paper evaluate the variation of image quality and file size in JPEG recompression and recommed the optimum recompression factor.

Image of JPEG compression is often made to JPEG recompression at saving to apply JPEG compression of color image. In general, JPEG is a lossy compression and compression image is predicted to be varied image quality according to recompressed Q-factor. Various distortions of JPEG compression and JPEG recompression has been reported in previous paper. In this paper, we compress four difference color samples (photo image, gradient image, vector drawing image, text image) according to various Q-factor, and then compressed images are recompressed according to various Q-factor once again. As the results, we inspect variation of quality and file size of recompressed color image, and ensure the optimum recompression factor.

Effect of capacitive coupling in superconducting coplanar waveguide resonator

  • Superconducting coplanar waveguide (SCPW) resonators with high quality (Q) factor are widely used for developing quantum sensors and quantum information processors. Here we conducted numerical simulations of SCPW resonators to investigate the relationship between the Q factor and the coupling capacitance of the resonator. Varying the geometrical shape of both ends and coupling parameters of the SCPW resonator resulted in a change of the coupling capacitances and the Q factor as well. Our calculation results indicate that the performance of the SCPW resonator is highly sensitive to the capacitive coupling and searching for an optimal coupling condition would be crucial for developing high-performance SCPW resonator.

고객지향적 병원 급식서비스 운영을 위한 질 평가 도구 개발 및 적용 (Development of Quality Assessment Tool and Application to Customer-Oriented Hospital Foodservice Management)

  • The purposes of this study were to : a) develop the quality assessment tool of hospital foodservice management, b) evaluate the S hospital's foodservice quality by this tool, and c) do the feasibility study about this tool in hospital food-service field by establishing quality management strategies. The developed quality assessment tool of hospital food-service management was consisted of 20 items for quality evaluation by Likert 5 point scale and two additional questions with the most satisfactory item and the most unsatisfactory item. As a result of evaluation, S hospital's foodservice quality was somewhat high, on the factor 'personnel attitude', especially. The IPA technique proved nine items including Q5, Q7, Q8, Q11, Q12, Q13, Q15, Q16, Q17 were in 'Doing Great, Keep It Up' and seven items such as Q1, Q2, Q3, Q6, Q9, Q18, Q19 that got high expectation and low perception needed to be focused in quality management strategy.
