The purpose of the present study was to investigate the differences in purchase behaviors, buying motives of secondhand clothing and the perception toward secondhand clothing products among the groups as determined by their gender and age. Data were collected by a pilot test and the final questionnaire survey administered to 450 subjects in the age range from 20 to 59, living in Seoul; 430 were used for data analyses. The results showed that 3 factors for buying motives (distinction, affordability, and quality & attractiveness) and 2 factors for perception toward secondhand clothes (positive and negative perceptions) were formulated. Women tended to buy more secondhand clothing products for themselves as well as their family, and put more importance on most of selective criteria than men did. The young were more likely to have negative perception and to buy at diverse places. Those having experiences of buying secondhand clothes showed more positive perception on such products. It is expected that this study provides basic information needed for secondhand apparel companies to develop their marketing strategies to increase customer satisfaction.
This study investigated the correlations of five constructs - health concerns, healthy eating practices and attitudes, food choice motives, attitudes toward organic foods - in the formation of behavioral to the purchasing intentions of organic foods. An instrument encompassing health perception, attitudes, habits and personal traits was developed through the comprehensive reviews of the literature and the assured validity and internal reliability of the contents. The questionnaire was administered to the students of three universities at Daegu, Kyungpook province. A total of 288 questionnaires were collected for a response rate of 96.0%. The correlations of five constructs and purchasing intention were tested simultaneously using structural equation modeling. Healthy eating practices and attitudes toward organic foods were found to be the determinants which directly influence the intention to purchase organic foods. Health concerns didn't show direct relation to the purchasing intention of organic foods. The hypothesized path from the health concerns to the purchasing intentions was not supported. The results indicated that food choice motives and healthy eating attitudes should be managed to achieve higher behavioral intention to purchase organic foods.
Qualitative research is a method widely used in marketing research. However, the method has seldom been used in fashion marketing research in Korea. The purpose of this study was to prove that using both qualitative and quantitative research methods in main stage is much useful than using qualitative research method only in exploratory stage. Qualitative data were gathered by conducting Focus Group Interview(FGI) with 48 college students. Quantitative data were gathered by surveying college students, and 487 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. The data were analyzed using content analysis, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. As a result, FGI, one of the tools used in qualitative research methods, was proved to be useful in revealing consumers´deep emotional needs as well as purchase motives. FGI also revealed information which quantitative research method tools such as survey could have missed. Therefore, it is best to use multiple methods-simultaneous use of quantitative and qualitative methods-to understand fast changing consumers´needs and purchase motives.

This research examines shopping motives, information search of e-fashion consumers and their behavioral intentions (word of mouth, repurchase and site switching intentions). The survey was conducted from December $17^{th}$ 2010 to January $5^{th}$ 2011 and all respondents had previous experiences with on-line purchase of fashion items. The study finds that an information search has three dimensions, recreational search, informative search, and rational search. The effects of both hedonic and utilitarian shopping motives on information search and behavioral intentions are significant. In addition, recreational and informative search have a positive impact on word of mouth and site switching intentions, while repurchase intention is influenced by an informative search. Rational search has a positive effect on switching intention only. Finally, there are significant differences by gender in shopping motives, information search and behavioral intentions.

In this study, based on the theory of use and satisfaction, the motives of consumers who use Instagram accounts for luxury fashion brands were classified and the effect of the flow state experienced according to the motives on the purchase intention and the enjoyment was empirically studied. As a result of the analysis, the conclusions obtained through this study can be summarized as follows. First, it was found that the motive for using Instagram, a luxury fashion brand, had a significant positive effect on flow, followed by social interaction motive, informational motive, and enjoyment motive. Among the motivations for use, it was confirmed that the motivation for social interaction had the greatest influence on flow. Second, when using the luxury fashion brand Instagram account, the state of consumer flow induces positive emotions such as pleasure, which has a positive effect on purchase intention. Third, age, which is a characteristic of luxury fashion brand Instagram account users, had a significant positive moderating effect on the relationship between informational motives and flow, and had a significant negative effect with playful motives. Through the results of this study, we contributed to the flow of previous related studies by empirically showing the dynamics of consumer psychology related to the use of luxury Instagram accounts.

The purpose of this study is to establish a marketing strategy for the makgeolli manufacturing industry. We fractionized cousumer types depending on motives for purchase of customers who had bought makeolli or drunk it for the last six months. We also examined the relationship between makgeolli selection attributes and customer satisfaction by the cousumer types. SPSS 15.0 statistical package was used to process data. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, a reliability test, K-means cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression were executed. As a result, the motives to purchase and drink were divided into four factors - marketing, effect on health, self-desires, outside environment; consumers into three types - dependent type, loving type, indifferent type; makgeolli selection attributes into five factors - health characteristics, visual elements, brand characteristics, drinking characteristics, purchase characteristics. It was shown that the makgeolli loving type considered all the makgeolli selection attributes as most important; the dependent type considered the health characteristics and visual elements as less important than the loving type did. The indifferent type considered all the makgeolli selection attributes as less important compared with the other types. Among the makgeolli selection attributes, drinking characteristics and the purchase characteristics had effects on customer satisfaction.
