피드포워드적 토크고속응답제어법을 이용한 유도전동기의 속도센서레스 제어 (A Speed Sensorless Control of Induction Motors Based on Feedforward Quick Torque Response Control Technique)

  • The vector controlled induction motor(I.M) with speed sensor has been widely used for variable speed drive systems. In these application fileds, speed sensorless control are expected strongly to progress reliability, simplicity and cost performance of I.M and to expand its application part. This paper describes a novel speed sensorless control method of I.M based on feedforward quick torque response control technique. Especially, this paper aimed at the realization of sensorless control in the very low speed region, The proposed method can be formulated simply from a motor circuit equation and conducted easily by detecting primary motor currents and a voltage command at every sampling time. Throughout some results of numerical simulations with the assumption of using a pulse width modulation(PWM) voltage source inverter, the validity of the method was successfully confirmed.

  • In this paper, an advanced torque control scheme of Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) using modified non-linear logical TSF (Torque Sharing Function) with PWM is presented. In the proposed control scheme, a simple calculation of PWM duty ratio and switching rules from DITC(Direct Instantaneous Torque Control) can reduce the torque ripple with fixed switching frequency. The proposed control scheme is verified by the computer simulations and experimental results.

  • An advanced direct torque control (DTC) with pulse width modulation (PWM) method is presented in this paper. The duty ratio calculation of the selected voltage vector is based on the voltage functions of the selected voltage vector according to the sector angle. The proposed DTC uses a conventional DTC scheme with six sector divisions and switching rules. However, the winding voltages are supplied by the PWM approach. Furthermore, the duty ratio of the switching voltage vector is determined by the flux, torque error, and motor speed. The base voltage that shall determine the duty ratio can be calculated by approximate voltage functions according to the voltage angle. For the calculation of base voltages, second-order quadratic functions are used to express the output voltage of the selected voltage vector according to voltage angle. The coefficients for the second-order quadratic functions are selected by the voltage vector, which is determined by the switching rules of the DTC. In addition, the voltage functions are calculated by the coefficients and voltage angle between the voltage vector and rotor position. The switching voltages from the calculated duty ratio can supply the proper torque and flux to reduce the ripple and error. The proposed control scheme is verified through practical experimental comparisons.

  • In the speed control system of motors using the low resolution rotary encoder, the period of encoder pulse becomes longer than the sampling time for speed control in the range of very low speed. Therefore, it is difficult to obtain accurate speed information. In this paper, the speed estimating method at the very low speed region using reduced order torque observer, which has been widely used, is examined. The results of simulation show that the characteristics of the speed control at the very low speed region is improved by using the reduced order torque observer.

  • A simple hybrid circuit to control the two-phase AC motor of the nut-runners which employ the tightening torque control system is described in this paper. The circuit has emphasis on the low-cost implementation. The circuit constitutes of the V/F converter using a timer IC, the pulse width modulator using the fastening torque signal and the two-phase logic sequencer.

  • Micropocessor를 기계계의 제어에 응용하기 위하여 drilling machine의 자동화를 위한 Software를 개발하였다. Work table의 좌표축 방향의 변위를 담당하는 Pulse motor가 지령 Pulse에 충실히 응답 할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 최적 start-stop pulse rata를 조사하여 이를 matrix화 함으로서 실제 작업시에는 입력 data에 의하려 최적 pulse rate로 시동 또는 정지의 정확을 기하도록 하였다. Workt able의 x-y평면내에서의 이동은 x축 motor와 y축 motor에 Pulse를 교대로 보냄으로서 변위 시간을 단축시켰다. Program을 Package화하여 작업사양에 따른 data만을 입력함으로서 사용의 편의를 도모하였다.

Brushless DC Motor Electromagnetic Torque Estimation with Single-Phase Current Sensing

  • The purpose of this paper was to find an effective method for measuring electromagnetic torque produced by a brushless DC motor with single-phase current sensing in real-time. A torque equation is derived from the theory of brushless DC motor. This equation is then validated experimentally with a motor dynamometer. A computer algorithm is also proposed to implement the electromagnetic torque estimation equation in real-time. Electromagnetic torque is a linear function of phase current. Estimating the electromagnetic torque in real-time using single-phase current is not appropriate with existing equations, however, because of the rectangular alternating-pulse nature of the excitation current. With some mathematical manipulation to the existing equations, the equation derived in this paper overcame this limitation. The equation developed is simple and so it is computationally efficient, and it takes only motor torque constant and single-phase current to evaluate the electromagnetic torque; no other parameters such as winding resistances, inductances are needed. The equation derived is limited to the three-phase brushless DC motor. It can, however, easily be extended to the multiphase brushless DC motor with the technique described in this paper.

  • In this paper, an advanced torque control scheme of SRM using DITC(Direct Instantaneous Torque Control) and PWM(pulse width modulation) is presented. Different from conventional DITC method, proposed method uses one or two switching modes at every sampling time, instead of only one switching mode. The duty ratio of the phase switch is regulated according to the torque error and simple control rules of DITC. Moreover the sampling time of control can be extended, which allows implementation on low cost microcontrollers. The proposed control method is verified by the simulations and experimental results.

  • A new modified trapezoidal modulating signal for a pulse width modulation (PWM) inverter suitable for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive is proposed in this paper. A new modulating signal for the PMSM drive is determined by the characteristic torque ripple of the motor with various electro-motive force (EMF). The proposed modulating signal is able to decrease the torque ripple even if the motor has sinusoidal EMF or non-sinusoidal EMF. By using the proposed modulating signal, the system reduced the torque ripple as well as achieved the effective utilization of the DC supply voltage for the inverter. Many improvements are accomplished by the PWM strategy adapting the modified trapezoidal modulating signal without a change in hardware.
